Contendership Match- Chigusa Vs. Riana

Chigusa rolled off in the opposite direction from where Hel rolled, freed from beneath Hel's body. Chigusa quickly got up, rubbing her sore arms and the spot where Hel landed her first punch. It seemed the spots were going to bruise. That wasn't good, especially since there were more matches later, hopefully, and fighting bruised was a big disadvantage. At least, it seemed, Hel was hurt too.

Chigusa would run quickly at Hel, trying to go for another dropkick to knock her to the ground. She was slower than before, but hoped that Helwas more tired and that she could land the shot.

Hel was struggling to her feet as Chigusa came with the dropkick. She managed to see it coming with plenty of time, but her wooziness slowed her down. Just barely, she managed to twist out of the way, losing her balance and falling back to the mat, knocking her head against the mat somewhat inartfully.

Given that she fell more or less on the spot, if Chigusa didn't catch herself, she would probably land right on Hel's midsection. It wouldn't be the advantage she expected, but it would still be a good hit if she landed well.

Chigusa missed her kick, but managed to get the compensation prize by landing clumsily on top of her opponent. Her fall resulted in a pseudo belly-splash onto Hel's belly, knocking the wind out of both of them. Chigusa lay on top of Hel in what appeared to be a cross-body pin. The ref began the count.

"One!" the ref yelled.

Hel let out a loud "Oof!" as Chigusa slammed into her, knocking even more air out of her. Her head shot up from the slam and fall back to the mat limp. Her entire body was beginning to feel dull pain from a lack of oxygen. She lay there for a second, trying to catch her breath.

"Two!" No... not this time. I won't! Hel would force her arms up and off the mat. Trying to take in much needed air, Hel would still try to fight through the pain and slam her fists in an axe handle blow down on the small of Chigusa's back. It wouldn't be her strongest shot, not just from lack of air but she was functioning completely on adrenalin by this point, aiming to put the hurt on Chigusa and not focusing as she should.

The fall knocked the air out of Chigusa too, though she regained much more quckly due to being on top. She dimly realized that she was pinning Hel down, but did not think too much on it. Her mind was unfocused and hazy still. It was brought sharply back into focus by a blow on her lower back. "AH!" Chigusa cried out in pain. She rolled off of Hel, rubbing her back. She was tired now and weaker, but she still wanted to defeat this tough opponent.

Chigusa would wait for Hel to sit up, but not get up before launching her next attack. Right as Hel is about to get to her feet, Chigusa would run at her and attempt a Shining Apprentice attack, which is a low enzuigiri kick straight to the head of a downed opponent.

Hel groaned as she rolled on her front, pushing herself up, only to be greeted by Chigusa's flying leg. She immediately raised her hands to try to block it, but they only managed to mitigate the attack, spreading the hurt between her head and hands. The blow still sent Hel back to the ground, stunning her for a second before she could respond.

Having succeeded in landing that hit, Chigusa didn't hesitate to try and pin Hel again. This time, she went for something more fancy. Grabbing both of Hel's legs, Chigusa would leap up and attempt a backflip over Hel's body. When she landed, she would bridge up for a folding matchbook pin.

Hel's head throbbed from the beating she was getting. She wasn't out yet, but this match was really taking its toll on her. She would stir softly only to see Chigusa grab her legs and flip over her for a pin folding her legs up almost completely.

"ONE!" came the count. Hel struggled with the hold. With a loud grunt of exertion, she would try to must up the energy to try to bring her fists in to strike Chigusa's head. It was an awkward reach, with Hel's legs in the way, but she tried as best she could.

"TWO!" the referee yelled. Chigusa was about to win! Then, suddenly, two fists struck the sides of Chigusa's head, right behind the ears. It was enough to break the pin. Chigusa still held on, maintainting the position, but Hel broke the pin with that move. "No!" Chigusa said. This was starting to get desperate, as Chigusa was running out of energy. She needed to end this, and fast!

"You made me do this Hel," Chigusa said. She let go of Hel's ankles, pointing her elbows down, aiming to drive both elbows into Hel's gut to finish her off.

Hel's legs flopped back out to the mat as Chigusa released them. She let out a sigh of relief as she unfolded, only to see Chigusa readying another blow, her eyes meeting Chigusa's for a split second, betraying a fierce desperation. Hel would quickly try to bring her arms up to block the blow as best she could. Since she had just been folded up already, another impulse struck her. With a lurch, Hel would try to kick her legs up, aiming to strike Chigusa's head, an improbable blow, one that required her to bend back voluntarily nearly into the matchbook, but if it landed, by sheer velocity alone, it should at least give Hel a chance.
