Contendership Match- Chigusa Vs. Riana

During the short break between matches, Chigusa Yuuki was busily stripping down and donning a new wrestling suit. Her old one had been destroyed by Yatori and was completely unwearable now. She thought of tossing it in the garbage, but then looked at the torn fabric carefully, remembering the promise they made in the ring.

"This is a memento of that time," Chigusa thought, "I can't just throw this away." She shoved the ripped schoolgirl top into her bag, pulling out a spare and putting it on. She quickly rushed out of the locker room, already late for her match.

The studio recording of "nO LimiT" played over the speakers. Chigusa really didn't have the energy to sing that song over and over, and she needed to conserve what she had. After all, she had one hard match ahead of her, and possibly many more after all that. She needed to keep herself as strong as possible for as long as possible.

She slipped into the ring through the bottom ropes. She knew that her opponent was Riana Helstrom, a truly fearful woman if the rumors were right. But Chigusa had no time for fear now, she can only fight onwards with all her strength, and hope her power would be enough.

Hel was in a bit of a funk after that last match. Facing down a legend like Reiko should've been a bit more exciting, but Hel got her ass handed to her. Maybe she wasn't nearly as good as she thought she was. Her acting career taking a dive still left her with the comfort of being able to fight, but if she couldn't even manage a healthy career in THAT... Fizzling out on reality TV shows wasn't exactly how she wanted to wrap her up career, especially with so many good years ahead of her.

Hel sighed, rubbing her temples backstage, trying to rest up and focus on the match ahead. Heaven's Creepin' In blared over the intercom, and Hel's showbusiness side took over. No matter how bad you feel, the show must go on. She jogged quickly down the ramp, sliding into the ring. Her demeanor a little more muted than usual, and lacking in Hel's trademark swagger, but Hel was still an actress. She hid her feelings well.

Once inside the ring, Hel sized up her opponent. She didn't know Chigusa or her exploits with Eclipse. She had heard rumors that she was up against a singer, but not from anyone she considered reliable. She approached Chigusa, extending her hand, "Nice to meet you. Riana Helstrom. Call me Hel. Actress, brawler, and one of the first losers of the title tournament." She forced a smile, "And you are?"

"She doesn't seem as scary as people say," Chigusa thought. She went up and grabbed Riana's hand tightly. "Those rumors were only rumors then?"

"Chigusa Yuuki, singer, actress, and idol," Chigusa said, listing her various occupations, "We're both losers here, though one of us will be eliminated here. But, let's not let that keep us have our fun ne~?"

Hel smiled, "Sounds like a plan." Stroking her chin, "Quite a resume you've got there." Some sort of pop diva, huh? She's probably going to be a little outclassed.

Taking a step back, her face took on the traditional wild look of someone itching for a fight, "You ready to dance, cutie?"

Chigusa took a closer look at Riana, to size up her opponent. "Taller, bigger, and probably stronger," Chigusa thought, "I'll have to hit fast. Riana probably hits hard..."

She raised her hands in front, protecting her face from attacks. Her hands were open, not clenched into fists, but ready to both defend by grabbing her opponent's attacks or strike. When she heard Riana's challenge, she smiled.

"Oh I'm ready," Chigusa said. Right as the bell rings to signal the start of the match, Chigusa would launch a powerful spinning kick to Riana's head.

Hel would just barely dodge the kick, leaning back to let it pass over her head. "Where does a singer learn to kick so high?" Hel teased as she regained her balance. Chigusa's ferocity had surprised her, forcing Hel to dodge quicker than she should have. Chigusa had enough time to recover, but not much more. This idol certainly seemed to be more than just a pretty face and voice.

Gritting her teeth with determination, if Chigusa didn't launch a follow up after that kick, Hel would close in and try to lock up with Chigusa, aiming to use her advantage to try to force her way into a clinch with Chigusa and try to deliver some knee strikes to the idol's midsection.

"She dodged it?" Chigusa thought. She tried to recover quickly, but felt a strange pain in her leg as she completed the kick. She managed to get back in position, but the pain still bothered her. "It looks like I used up too much strength last match," Chigusa thought, "My body's protesting." The pain quickly faded, but it made Chigusa wary of using moves that were too strong.

She did not follow up with another attack, being bothered by the sudden muscle pain. Hel got up close to begin her close combat attacks. Chigusa, however, was ready to respond. As Hel's knee shot up to strike her in the midsection, Chigusa would try to catch the leg in her arms and reverse the blow into a dragon screw that would topple Hel to the ground.

Hel yelped as she spun to the ground. The singer definitely has got some moves. Her head ached from hitting the mat and from her last match. "Dammit," Hel groaned. If Chigusa aimed to follow up the attack, Hel would stay down, aiming to kick up at her. If she saw she had time, Hel would quickly roll over and try to get back to her feet.

Chigusa ended up on the mat as well from her dragon screw. "It worked!" Chigusa thought. She quickly rolled off to the side and got back up. Being as fast as she was certainly gave some advantages, especially when it came to dodgeing and blocking attacks. It also gave her an advantag in running distance based attacks, which she planned to use against Hel.

Chigusa would let Hel get to her feet, but was also prepaing her own move. Once Hel was up, Chigusa would try running in and dropkicking Hel to the mat. The dropkick scared Yatori quite a bit, now Chigusa wanted to see if it had the same effect on Hel.

Hel saw the dropkick coming and thought she was quick enough to dodge it. Unfortunately for her, she was a bit slower now after that fight with Reiko. Worse, this girl was full of surprises. As Hel took the kick square in the torso and slammed into the mat, she groaned, realizing this fight... which was supposed to have been a cake walk, now had her getting tossed around like a nameless extra on a pneumatic catapult. Not good.

Motivated now by frustration, if Chigusa let her, Hel would try again to vault to her feet, quicker this time, a vicious, determined look on her face. Woozy, sore, but still not down for the count, not yet. This girl was fast. It was time to show Chigusa how fast Hel was. She would try to charge in, delivering a leaping knee uppercut right for the idol's jaw. Of course, she had been thrashed about pretty badly in this match and the last, so she wasn't as fast she usually was.
