Contendership Match- Chigusa Vs. Riana

"One!" the referee yelled. Chigusa groaned. Her mind came back though, back enough that she could form complete thoughts.

"That really hurt," Her thoughts began, "Should I just give up and let it be? Should I just let Hel win?" She paused for a moment in her thoughts. "I can't. I made a promise to Yatori that I would meet her in the finals as her number one contender, and so I wil. I refuse to just lose here. I will not give up!"

Another thought crossed her mind. "What if Yatori doesn't make it?" she paused again to think. "Hmm, well that still works out; I'll just fight whoever else is strongest."

"Two!" the referee yelled. Chigusa's thoughts immediatly cut off. She couldn't dawdle any more, she had to break free. Gathering all her strength as fast as she could, Chigusa would attempt to kick out of the pin, proving she was still in the match.

Hel let out a slightly shocked grunt as Chigusa kicked out. Rolling off of her, Hel took a few exhausted breaths to catch up. "Damn, girl. Didn't think you'd bounce back from that." With a start, Hel would shake her head, brush some of her hair back, and stand up. "Alright then," she would state as she would then try to lift Chigusa to her feet and Irish whip her to the corner post.

Hel pulled Chigusa up by her arm to her feet. Chigusa was still woozy from the powerful blow to the head, and wasn't standing too well without Hel to hold her up. She was thinking of a way to counterattack Hel though, constantly planning how to attack next. When Hel tried to whip her into the corner, Chigusa saw a chance. She was whipped out, but instead of flying into the turnbuckle, she held onto Hel's arm and used the momentum she gained to reverse the whip and try to throw Hel into the corner instead.

Hel's eyes went wide as she felt the lurch on her arm, seeing that Chigusa had not let go. She tried to brace herself, but it was too late. She was thrown, running toward the corner. Trying to stop the momentum, she ended up turning around and smacking her back solidly against the corner post with a solid oomph. The pad absorbed the most of the impact, but Hel still hung against the corner, rubbing her back, stunned by the blow.

Chigusa immediately charged at Hel, closing the short distance between them to take advantage of the momentary stunning Hel was in. Chigusa decided to take the chance and try to hurt Hel some more. She would try to tackle Hel in the gut, to weaken her and make her double over, and then trap her legs in a standing headscissor. Then, when that's set up, Chigusa would drop onto her knees to slam Hel's head into the mat hard.

Hel let out a loud "Oof!" and buckled over as Chigusa slammed into her. As the idol's legs clamped down around her head, Hel struggled against the hold, her fingers digging into Chigusa's thighs. Of course, that stopped as Hel's head was introduced suddenly and painfully to the mat. With a loud thud, her entire body bounced sharply and she fell limp, stunned once again. The impact worked to compound the pain of the bulldog takedown Hel suffered from Reiko last match. For now, it was overwhelming, she lay there, cradling her head, moaning helplessly.

Chigusa flipped Hel over onto her back, making sure to get her arms under Hel's shoulders so that they could be easily secured should she try anything. As it is, Hel seemed to be more in pain than ready to give out pain. Chigusa didn't use up much energy with the two blows either. She needed to conserve what she had left so that if she survived this match, she would have enough to survive future matches.

Chigusa dragged Hel to the center of the ring, away from the ropes. She knelt down behind Hel and wrapped an arm around her neck in a sleeperhold.

"How long can you last in this?" Chigusa said.

Hel suddenly found herself unable to breath as the stars she saw subsided, revealing that she was locked in a sleeper hold, her arms uselessly secured behind Chigusa's. No... this isn't happening. Not twice in a row... I'm better than this... am I? Hel grit her teeth, trying to struggle. Her rapidly depleting oxygen made her desperate. She tried to wrench her head further back, hoping to maybe nail Chigusa in the nose or jaw.

Chigusa tighened the hold on Hel, choking her and making her lose more and more air. She felt Hel squirming and struggling, refusing to let go. She could feel Hel starting to fade, feeling elated. Her opponent was going to be defeated.

"C'mon, it's time to-" Chigusa began to say, but then her voice got cut off by a strike to the lower jaw. "OW!" Chigusa said. She didn't let go though, still holding on, though loosening the hold.

Hel gasped sharply as she felt a fleeting bit of freedom in Chigusa's hold. Seeing a weak spot, she would try to swing her head back once more as well as try to flail her arms inward at Chigusa's head, hoping to grab anything, do anything to hurt her and get herself free of this hold. This was exhausting work... she didn't have much left.
