AZUMI vs Atalante

Azumi was ready to begin, coming back from a hiatus from the ring was always good to start off with an impressive win to get back on track as she appeared on stage a feeling she hadn’t had in a while. She would begin to make her way down to the ring as she picked up speed and slid underneath the bottom rope.

Immediately popping up, she would hold her hand high for the crowd before heading towards her corner, eyes locked on the entrance to see who her opponent was, interested to see who the new fresh face on the roster!

Tonight was Atalante's debut here in Friction, she was quite excited as she remained in her locker room and fixed up her outfit a bit. The final touches, making sure that her boots were laced up properly and her gloves were tightened properly. Once she was ready she left the locker room and headed down towards the Gorilla Position.

She knew well enough who her opponent was, AZUMI was a rather famous wrestler and had a fair bit of acclaim to her name. She'd carried several titles during her career, but so had Atalante. The Grecian wrestler stepped out onto the ramp as her music played out of the speakers.

The crowd reception was a fair one, warm but not too loud. It was to be expected as a European wrestler. The eyes of Japan didn't usually go their. She walked down towards the ring and rolled in under the bottom ropes, rising up to her feet as she would step up to the cent of the ring, nodding her head towards Azumi.

" Azumi Tanahashi. It's quite an honor to face someone of your caliber for my debut." Atalante spoke out in a stoic manner.

Azumi waited for her opponent of the night to arrive and soon she saw just who she was up against. She could see the shine of bright hope and determination at entering the wrestling world. It was a shine that Azumi was all too familiar with and was proud to see, but admiration wasn’t going to save her opponent. Not without a tough fight was Azumi going to break in the newbie to the world of wrestling on such a grand stage.

“Heh, nice to see you too. It’s great knowing that not everyone is out to cut down anyone in their way. Let me be the first to welcome you to AFW and to give you your hardest test to date.

Atalante would nod her head as she saw Azumi stand in front of her. It seemed as if she was a fairly confident and tough woman though she could sense that she seemed fairly confident, maybe over confident? That would have to be seen though. Atalante would nod her head towards Azumi and then take a step back before she'd drop down into a grappling stance.

Raising her arms up and bending her knees a bit as she would then start to circle Azumi. " I'm always up for any test, no matter how difficult. So hold nothing back. Azumi." Atalante spoke out as she would narrow her eyes a bit and move forward to offer a collar and elbow tie up.

Azumi smiled, her opponent was definitely the kind of girls that she liked seeing in the ring as she got her blood pumping with excitement and competitiveness. What a perfect opponent to get her back in the swing of things as she got into her wrestling stance.

“Heh, then bring it!” She let out, beginning to circle the ring in a fleet footed manner as she kept her eyes locked on Atalante before the two would move in, lunging in at each other for a collar and elbow tie up as Azumi began pushing!

The two of them circled the ring in a fleet footed manner as they kept their eyes locked together. Atalante would see Azumi move in and she did the same as they came crashing together for that collar and elbow lock up. As she would feel Azumi push against her....

Trying to hold her ground against the raven haired woman, bracing her legs as she'd grunt out...

Atalante would then try and push against Azumi in return, trying to use her strong legs to move forward and push Azumi backwards.

The two wrestlers pushed against each other, shoving into one another in the collar and elbow tie up, both looking for the first advantage as Azumi sunk low, digging her feet into the mat as she tried to force Atalante back. But She quickly found herself being pushed back as Atalante’s powerful base was able to force her back.

Atalante and Azumi pushed against one another and for the first few seconds it looked rather even, until Atalante managed to push forward with her strong legs. Managing to get Azumi to be forced backwards, though she wasn't about to push her towards the ropes...after she had managed to get the advantage, Atalante would try and twist around and pull Azumi's head down into a side headlock instead.

Pressing the face of Azumi up against her side boob, as she would tighten her arms around that head, trying to put a firm squeeze on it.

Azumi was getting closer and closer towards the ropes as she knew that although she would have to deal with the mental aspect of being beaten back, she knew that she had a way out as they would have to force a break. However, Atalante was a step of her as she quickly wrapped an arm around her head, pulling her into a sideheadlock.

Azumi grunted as she was mashed cheek first against the side boob, her arms wrapping around Atalante’s waist as she thought quick and began to back pedal, pulling Atalante with her into the ropes. But she wasn’t going to do something so easy as to hope for a rope break, she instead tried to spring Atalante back into teh ropes and then off of it, trying to force Atalante off and running across the ring!

Atalante would tighten her hold on that head as she locked AZUMI up into that side headlock, tightening her hold and with it mashing the cheek of the once HEAT ace wrestler. Looking to squeeze on that head and bring about a fair deal of pain to that skull of hers. However, it seemed as if Azumi had a plan though, as she would start to pull Atalante backwards, pulling her towards the ropes!

When they were finally there the referee was about to step up and tell the two of them to break it off, however she didn't have the time to do so as Atalante was leaned further into the ropes by Azumi and then shoved forward! Loosing her grip on that head as she was forced to charge forward towards the opposite side of the ring, turning around right before she hit the ropes and bouncing off of them coming running right back towards Azumi as a result of it.
