AZUMI vs. Katori Kimura

AZUMI:

The former H.E.At. Star was in action once again as she was finishing her stretches as she was dressed in her white wrestling with a purple trim as she was doing some last minute stretches. She was quite excited for this next match up as she was going to go up against Mighty Yukiko's Successor, Katori Kimura. She knew that she was going to have some of the most stiffest competition in AFW, she wasn't expecting to be paired up against someone from the previously famous league before AFW. The thrill of facing such a foe was sending jolts of excitement through Azumi's body as her theme started to play on the speakers, cuing her entrance as she made her way up the stairs and on stage.

As popular as ever, she was greeted with cheers of from the fans as she posed on stage, raising her hand to the lights above before pointing her finger above, signifying her goal of getting to the top before making her way down to the ring as she slapped the hands of several lucky fans on her way to the squared circle. Reaching the stairs to the ring, she jogged up the metal attachment before climbing up on to the turnbuckle, looking around at the masses who were ready to watch the exciting contest before posing again, once more pointing to the highest point of the arena before jumping down into the ring and heading into her corner as she awaited for her opponent!

The young successor of Wrestle Angels got herself ready for another match up in the ring tonight, Katori had finally been getting matches more often like she wanted and it was filling her with both excitement and anticipation. While getting dressed in her custom lime green one-piece, Katori was thinking about what she heard on her new opponent. Just like Misaki Toyoda whom was her first opponent, this wrestler was from a smaller wrestling gig that was recognized and an official establishment, on top of that, also like Misaki, she was its star wrestler no less! It was always fun for Katori to take on opponents from other wrestling leagues, companies, gyms, clubs, and etc. whether at their own places or here in AFW, it allows the girl a chance to experience many different fighting styles and preferences in the ring, and this was a good opportunity to test herself against this Star Wrestler!

So after doing some flexes and stretches to warm up her body, Katori puts on her prized lavender short jacket as she makes her way to the arena entrance and enters the second her theme starts to play on the loud speakers. Katori stands on the stage as she is welcomed by thunderous cheers from the audience, with the angel raising both hands up to wave at them in response. As Katori made her way down the ramp, she exchanged fist bumps and gave high-fives with plenty of people, then once she arrived at the ring she climbs up the apron to vault over the top ropes before walking to her corner, giving her opponent an gesture of acknowledge with a competitive smirk as she went. The angel climbed up the turnbuckle when she arrived, raising her hands to wave more to the crowd which further cheered for Katori as she jumps down then turns around to face Azami.

Azumi stood ready in her corner as she did some last minute stretches, hooking her foot on the top rope to stretch out her leg as she leaned back to bend it to an acceptable level before doing the same to her other leg. Opposed to Katori's one piece suit, Azumi was wearing her two piece white with purple trimming, short shorts with a skirt. Bringing her leg down, Azumi did a high jump to finalize her stretching as she smiled across of the ring. The two wrestlers were in the ring, standing in their corners as the ref girl gave the both of them a quick check and then she would call for the bell.

Azumi would come out of her corner, keeping light on her feet as she got to the center of the ring, her eyes laser focused on Katori with a smile on her face. She looked a little straight laced, but that didn't bother Azumi, in fact it would make things a little fun for her. A little teasing every now and then would come. But for now, Azumi was going to play this straight. Stepping closer to the young successor, Azumi lifted her hands up to attempt to initiate a lock up.

But a lock up was not what she was planning to start with. Attempting to lull Katori in, she would drop down to a knee while wrapping an arm around Katori's body to try and spin around her back. If she was successful, she would wrap her arms around Katori's head for a side headlock!

Katori waited to see whether she and her opponent would have some pre-match greeting and banter before the match began or if they would dive straight into it from the get-go, and clearly after a brief check up with the ref-girl it was the latter. Not that that Katori had a problem with that, but she usually liked to interact with her opponents to build up rivalries and excitement to make this more interesting for both the wrestlers in the audiences watching. Oh well, some other time perhaps.

As the gong rings, Katori pushes from her corner and gets into her stance while getting close to Azami. It wasn't long til the two girls got close, with Azami wanting to lock up with the angel. Katori rose her own arms to attempt to lock with her opponent, but before she could, Azami did a quick drop and slipped behind the angel then got her in a Side Headlock!

With how fast that happened, leaving the Wrestle Angel speechless, she felt a tad bit of frustration as she grunts in such while gripping at her opponent's arms. But thankfully, in her healthy condition Katori can think and react better. So after a few seconds, she'll wrap her arms around Azami's waist and brace her legs to attempt to lift her opponent up and over to slam her into the mat with a Backdrop counter.

Taking Katori by surprise as she slip around her opponent, springing up to catch her in a side headlock forcing Katori down to a hunched over state. She would lock her fingers together to keep the head nice and tight as she wrenched on the head. She wanted to wear down Katori with the simple hold, but a simple hold meant for a simple counter as she felt the arms of Katori wrapping around her waist. Azumi's eyes widening as the Wrestle Angel lifted her off her feet and felt her bending backwards to try and drop her on to her back!

Her hands released the headlock she had as her arms shot out as she was twisted and dropped on to the mat. Letting out a quick cry as she bounced off of the mat, hands shooting to the back of her head as she rolled over on to her stomach. Definitely not the way she wanted to start the match as she began rolling away from Katori, looking to get a bit of distance between the two of them before attempting to get to her knees.

Thanks to her quick thinking, Katori had got out of and countered an early Side Headlock of Azumi's as she lifted her up and slammed her back with a Backdrop. She released the girl immediately upon impact, so it sent Azumi bouncing backwards away from the angel. Katori remained on her back briefly afterwards from the slam to look up at her opponent to see how she took it.

While it did look silly, Katori sees that Azumi is hurt but not all that much and had rolled herself to get some distance which was good for her at the moment. So now the Mighty Successor raises her hands to place above her head on the mat, folding her legs up before shooting them up while pressing against the mat to do a kip-up to quickly get back on her feet without wasting time.

If Katori is quick enough, she'll charge right at her opponent at top speed while she's on her knees. Once she gets close enough she will jump up and shoot her legs at Azumi to attempt to nail her with a Dropkick!

That definitely did not go like the way that Azumi planned as she got to her knees, hand reaching over to her back as she saw Katori racing across of the ring at her. Which was after she missed the kip-up, exciting as ever for anyone who could accomplish it. Eyes widening, Azumi brought her hands up to try and push the feet away from her body to avoid the impact while rolling to the side.

She would show off her athletic ability as she would tuck herself forward and flip her legs up and over to get back to her feet. "Swift, you're pretty quick around the ring!" Azumi would compliment her opponent, but that didn't mean that she was going to let her continue beating on her as she attempted to flip the tables around on Katori as she would lift her leg up and tried to stomp right on the small of the back. But she had to be quick, there was only a small window of opportunity that continued to dwindle with each passing second!

Katori was flying through the air like a missile in an attempt to hit her opponent with a Dropkick, after she got back up from slamming her into the mat. With how quick she got up and threw herself at Azumi, Katori was fairly certain she would land the kick and knock her back even more. It would seem though, that she would be wrong. "Wha-Oof..!" As soon as she looked up, Azumi brought her arms up to counter the angel and push her down onto the mat!

The sudden drop left Katori momentarily stunned as she rolled onto her front, having been taken by surprise again by that tactic. That was more then enough for Azumi though. While the angel was down, her opponent took that chance to stomp on the small of Katori's back. "Ugh...!" Further flatting her as Katori brings a hand to her back and rubs where she was hit.

Successfully managing to push the feet of Katori down onto the mat and avoiding the drop kick, Azumi managed for a quick stomp on the back to keep her opponent grounded. Her foot springing off of Katori's lower back, Azumi would hop off of Katori's back for a bit more momentum going into her kick, she had some time to plot what to do next. But not a whole lot of time as a simple stomp wasn't going to buy her much.

Seeing that Katori had a fast paced style, or at least part of one, she knew that she had to keep her opponent down to slow her. She would position herself to stand over Katori, legs facing her as she would reach down, wrapping her arms around the waist as she attempted to haul her opponent up to her feet. Once they were standing, belly to back, Azumi would attempt to lift Katori up to try and snap back German suplex!

The young angel laid flat on her front after being downed and stomped on by her opponent. It wasn't much but it still hurt Katori a bit. Azumi certainly proved herself to be quite clever and one to take the initiative when give the chance. Katori will have to be careful with her if she wants a shot at winning this match.

She was just about to push herself back up, getting up to at least one knee before she felt her waist being wrapped around by Azumi's arms. Katori yelps in surprise as she's hoisted back up to her feet unwillingly. She brings her arms to grab at her opponent's grip to try and undo it, but before she is given the chance Katori is lifted up and over and slammed onto her shoulders with a German Suplex! "Ughh...!!"
