Kyo Akamatsu vs Daisuke Kamiya

Before Lina could get a complete thought following the kick out, Kyo was back on Dai, not wanting to give the opposition time to react, even if there wasn't much she could have done in the current situation.  "Oh come on" Lina stated with a bit of annoyance, but not really loud, at the sight of him putting what looked to be a pretty painful submission maneuver.

From where he was watching, Sion couldn't help but cringe at the variation of the move Kyo was using.  While it's a less common version of the move, it's one he has seen before and he knows Dai's in a lot of trouble right now.

"Keep moving Dai, keep moving!" Lina called out to her with desperation sounding tone, which right after she said it she wasn't completely sure if her choice of words was a good one, but she didn't want to be silent. As much as Dai wanted to do just that, with how her legs were being held and how one of her arms was pinned down, she wasn't able to go anywhere. It was clear to tell just by looking at how Kyo was bending her that she wasn't having a good time, if her yelling out in displeasure wasn't enough of a dead giveaway.  It was one of those moves, where as Sion could tell, each passing second would feel like an almost-entirnity if whoever was applying the move knew what they were doing, and from Dai's veribal reaction as well as her facial expression, Kyo knew what he was doing, and the first few seconds being in the hold felt way longer to her.  As much trouble she was in at the moment, she did have one arm free though. While another of one Kyo's feet was on top of it, it wasn't pressing down on it. She felt enough air between those two body parts so she tried to fight through the pain while beggingin to rock herself forwards, and maybe up if she could. As After a moment or two of doing that she would look to wrap her free arm around the lower leg that was close to her, and attempt to curl the lower part of her arm that had the upper part held down towards the other leg. She wasn't sure where she was going to do with this, she just wanted to break the hold, and if she couldn't bounce and struggle her way out at the very least she'd attempt some sort of ankle lock. It may look a bit off, but it sure beats tapping out, so she saw no reason not to go for it.

With practiced ease, Kyo elevated Dai's trapped leg over his shoulder, arching her leg back into an almost perfect C-shape. He held his breath as he locked in the hold, stretching away at Dai's leg muscles an ligaments in a way that must have been all but unbearable for her. Indeed, he could feel her thrashing at the mat underneath him, crying out briefly as her face pressed down against the mat. He had her. All he had to do was keep the hold locked.

Dai had other ideas: he felt her gloved hands probing at his boot, pulling at it...he felt a roll of sweat trickle down his forehead as he continued to stretch at her leg. From where she was on the mat, Dai couldn't pull that far, but all the same, she was steadily unbalancing him-- and the more Kyo fought to retain his balance, the more he felt his grip on Dai's leg loosening.

At this point, he knew he had to make a decision. Clenching his teeth his leg again, instead trying to press both knees against Dai's back. If he managed that, then he would try to grab for her chin before tilting back, hoping to get her in a bow and arrow hold! If he managed this killer submission, then it might win him the match...but it would also take them within arms reach of the ropes...

She wasn't in the clear, but Dai wasn't out of it just yet as she managed to grab on to one of the feet and try something to turn things around. On the downside, Kyo managed to maintain control of her, but on the plus side Daisuke wasn't in that hold anymore as her movement made him change action. Instead of being held face down with it turning sideways and up a a bit, he re-positioned her so she was back against his knees and facing the ceiling. Depending how one would look at it, it might not be as bad as what Kyo had applied on her moments ago, but it still wasn't a desirable position to be in.

Oddly enough, Lina didn't speak out words of encouragement or frustration to the situation. She was about to, but then something with the move caught her attention, stopping herself from speaking before she could get a silable out. She took a few seconds after the hold got fully applied to process what she saw as Dai yelled out from being turned right side up and stretched. She pointed at Kyo while shouting "REF! REF! COUNT!" While Kyo was in control of his opponent at the moment, Lina noticed that Kyo's body position was at high risk of touching the canvas, which in the heat of the moment Lina though that was what she saw. While the referee was in position to check for a submission, Lina wanted to make it clear to the official not to forget keep an eye on Kyo's shoulders, given how he is positioned.

If the official kept a close watch on the shoulders as well, Lina wouldn't press the issue further. However if they were deemed not touching the canvas, and depending on the grip he on her, Dai would attempt to squirm a body part free, maybe in the direction of the ropes? With how quickly he move transitioned she wasn't sure if she was close enough to grab them or not. It wasn't without discomfort however, as she could still feel what the last hold did to her, which could be heard in her struggle to hold on and not give in. Though if his shoulders were completely down and the ref chose to ignore that and just focus on the hold Kyo had on Dai, Lina would climb up on the apron and bark out while making a clapping-in gesture "Shoulders down one-two-tree! It's right in front of you!" Lina wasn't one who liked to interject herself in the matches, but if she felt someone was getting shafted she also didn't like being silent. From what she's observed so far, Kyo wasn't a cheater, but if if a win could have came to her side but didn't because something was missed, she wasn't one to let it go without being heard.

Kyo managed to elevate the hold, streatching Dai painfully across his knees as he lifted her up in a bow and arrow hold. He saw her golden ponytail trail downward as she yelled and thrashed uselessly in his grip as his hold stretched her fit body to its limits. Just another minute or two, and I've got this, he thought with a smile as he stretched away at the tag team champ.

That was, until he heard Dai's friend...valet...person from the stands screaming that he had his shoulders on the mat. The next thing he knew, he saw the flustered ref girl look from her, to Kyo, to Dai, back to Lina, before getting down and starting the countdown.

"ONE..."

"What?" he exclaimed. Immediately, he kicked Dai free and sat up. "What are you doing? That was a legitimate submission move!"

The ref girl sheepishly rubbed the back of her head. "Well, as the lady pointed out, your shoulders were on the mat..." she stammered.

He felt himself getting angrier than he normally ever did. "It doesn't matter! That was a submission hold! Kamiya wasn't pinning me!" He turned and pointed angrily at Lina. "You! Stop interfering in this match! You have no business distracting or confusing the ref like that!"

With her message sent and recieved, and the match continuing as the hold was broken, Lina was about to return to the floor, but she stopped as she heard Kyo call out and saw him pointing at her.  "What was that?  I'm not interfering, you are!"  That caused the ref to again have a look of confusion, which Lina turned towards the ref for a moment.  "Tell me this, am I inside the ropes?"  The ref shakes her head, Lina continues.  "Which if I was interfering, like HE" she points at Kyo "claims I am, wouldn't I be on the inside of the ropes?"  She ref shrugs a little "I guess so."  Figuring she's on a role Lina continues by asking "So by definition am I interfering?"  "Technically no" the ref replies, which Lina smiles and turns towards Kyo and says "I thought so." She sticks out her tongue and pulls down an eyelid before hoping down to the floor.

While this was going down, Daisuke was trying to shake off the feeling from Kyo's knees pressing against her back.  Getting back to her feet she sees Kyo facing the other way.  She's not sure what's going on as Lina is talking with the ref.  As Lina finishes her thing, Daisuke grabs Kyo from behind in hopes of executing bridging german suplex.

Kyo felt his temper rise as Lina started to argue with him, brazenly refuting his claims of interference and even grinning while doing so. He strode towards the edge of the ropes and glared down at her. "You were distracting the ref and disrupting a perfectly valid submission hold," he retorted, trying to calm himself. "If you knew ANYTHING about wrestling...and at this rate, I sincerely doubt that you do...then you would have let that pass! I don't know about about Kamiya-san, but I think you are an shifty, opportunistic cheat--"

He didn't even get to finish that sentence before he felt a pair of arms wrap around his waist. "N-nani?" he gasped, just before he was tilted backwards, head over heels, and brought down hard on the small of his back! His entire body jolted, the fans going wild as Daisuke nailed Kyo from behind with a surprise German suplex!

Lina could have easily fired back as soon as Kyo mentioned how he had a valid submission hold on Daisuke, there was no denying that, but as she explained Kyo's shoulders were down, and any ref worth their salt would have noticed that too, maybe not right away, but before it's too late. She allowed Kyo to continue ranting, though the longer he spoke and continued to accuse her character she felt like responding. She could have let the situation go and not alert the official of the shoulder positioning, but she didn't want to see one of her own be unfairly screwed. Before she could attempt a comeback, even before he could finish, Dai made her move. If Lina was one of those shifty heel managers then it would be a carefully execute plan, it just so happened to work out that way, which Lina too looked surprised when Daisuke grabbed Kyo and took him over.

This time there was no question that a pin was being made as Dai held on to the move after impact, and the referee saw Kyo's shoulders down. Lina didn't have to say a word this time, not that she was able to at the moment, given her surprise at Dai's timing during the confusion.

"One..."

Kyo blinked, gasping for air as he felt pain throb in his back. He was looking up at the arena lights, his body was rolled up into a C-shaped angle, and he felt Daisuke's arms gripping him firmly around the waist. Past the sharp pain throbbing in his back, he quickly realized that he was being pinned.

"TWO--"

Gritting his teeth, Kyo twisted sharply, trying to throw his body to the side to break the pinfall. He had been winning, up until this point, and now he was on a severe backfoot again thanks to Lina and her interference. He had gone into this match thinking highly of Daisuke Kamiya: now, he was severely hoping that she wasn't as much of a cheater as her ringside friend...

Just like Lina, Dai isn't a known cheater. She is, however, resourceful. It help that she had a good trainer that broke her in. While her in-ring experience was a fraction of Kelly's, better known as Kei, the veteran's teachings rubbed off well on her for after Kyo broke out of the pin, Dai was quick grab him again, and attempted to keep him not only grounded, but potentially finish him off. Grabbing Kyo by an arm first, she would put it between her legs with one hand while trying to grab hold of the front of his head before reaching over and pulls his head up for a crossface submission. Normally a move more often used by Kelly than her, but having been on both ends of the move while learning it and realizing a window of opportunity to use it, she did not hesitate to make the attempt as it could spell victory for her.

When Koyo kicked out of the pin, Lina wasn't sure what Dai was going for when she saw her make her move, however the sight of Dai wanting to be quick on the follow up was a welcomed sight. When she noticed Dai go for the head and trap the arm she resumed her verbal encouragement before turning to the crowd briefly to get them to do the same.

Kyo flopped onto his front, trying to ignore the now painful throbbing in his neck and upper back. It was hard to move now: Dai had got him good with that counter attack, and left him in a really bad position. Screwing his eyes shut, he began to kick at the mat with one boot, trying to get some energy back into his hurting body so that he could hopefully, maybe, please get moving again before Dai did something--

He felt Dai's legs scissor around one arm, and before he could react, his head was yanked back, causing him to cry out as his neck and upper back were stretched and arced. He was kicking at the mat more furiously now as he felt himself being worked over in a crossface submission-- one of his favourite holds, damn it! His breathing began hard as he tried to shut out the pain, his mouth partially covered by Dai's arm, He usedhis free arm to paw at the mat, trying to edge the two of them closer to the ropes...but the pain in his neck was becoming unbearable...
