Daisuke Kamiya vs Jamal Smith

Jamal didn't feel like having a normal entrance and just walked down to the ring while he carried a briefcase. He was already dressed to fight, but he still had a professional air around him as he stood in the ring. After being handed a microphone, he gave it a tap before he started to talk.

"Ladies and gentleman...my name is Jamal Smith. This may just be a standard match for most, but I've decided to up the stakes a bit. Inside this briefcase is a total of fifty thousand dollars American dollars. If I lose my match tonight, this briefcase will be given to my opponent." Jamal opened the briefcase to reveal its contents to prove that he wasn't lying. After doing a 360 to show the crowd, he closed the case and gave it to one of his associates before picking his microphone again.

"Now my opponent was chosen at random without my knowledge, but I was told their name just before coming out tonight. So please welcome my opponent Daisuke Kamiya!" Jamal pointed toward the entrance ramp and the AFW fans clapped and cheered as they waited for Daisuke to show up. A few air cannons were set up in secret and confetti would rain down from above the entrance ramp.

Having recently being able to shake the outcome of the previous tag match she knew the next time she was in there ring the bar would be set high, regardless of the opponent. while not championships would be up for grabs in this one, something physical was at stake in addition to a tick in the win column. Sure coming out of the match with the money that was being defend by her opponent, but with what her and Sion have been going through later a win would surely boost morale amongst the group. She didn't want to think too far ahead as she wanted to remain in the tag title hunt with Sion, which a win here would surely impress the current title holders even though this is singles competition.

Daisuke and her manager Lina didn't get much notice about the match-up tonight, but did have enough time to find out the basics at the very least. Compared to Ryan Knight, this guy was bigger in both height and weight, but the numbers did not worry them. Of course she knew she couldn't be wreckless but was not afraid nor bothered of being the smaller dog in the fight.

As Jamal made his entrance and did his little pre-match speech Sion and Lita noticed that Jamal had some associates with him. Sion asked Daisuke if she wanted them to come down with her to keep an eye on the extras that Jamal had with him. Daisuke had a feeling they wouldn't be an issue but told him and Lita that they can keep an eye out for them from back here, but to feel free to take them out if they became an issue, but she was hoping it will be a clean fight...or at least not have any outside traffic. As her manager though Lina would go out with her and be her main second set of eyes.

The confetti was a bit surprise as both Daisuke and Lina make their way out, but they weren't against it. Both ladies could tell that some of their supporters were showing how they felt about the outcome of the previous match, feeling that Daisuke's team was robbed of the title win. To some this was a new a new day and still had her backing in this new challenge. She did stop to tell one of her fans a couple of rows in by the aisle that had a sign saying that she and Sion should be the new champions that it's alright and thanked 'em for the concern. She did slap hands with the person before entering the ring. Both she and Lina took a look at Jamal shortly upon stepping inside. Lina had a second to joke with Daisuke "Think you can chop that tree down?" To which Daisuke grins and tells her "Yeah and I won't knee an axe either." Lina is glad to see that Daisuke has a positive attitude and tells her "Go get 'em Dai" before stepping to the outside.

Jamal rolled his shoulders as tried to loosen up his body before the match. As Daisuke came down to the ring, he tried to look her over and figure out what kind of fighter she could be. Above all he did want to underestimate her or get the wrong impression just based on looks. He took a quick look at Lina and made a note to look out for this woman in case she wanted to get involved.

After the two women entered the ring and finished their chat, Jamal approached Daisuke, but stopped in the center of the ring. The bell would soon ring and Jamal take up a boxing stance, but if Daisuke came up to him without attacking he would extend an arm and touch knuckles with Daisuke.

Sion and Lita watched on from where they were. They were ready to strike in the event that those that were with Jamal did something first, but hopefully it wouldn't have to come to that. Daisuke approached slightly but not aggressive. She saw the arm being extended, knowing what it meant, but she still wanted to be cautious. After thinking about it for a couple of seconds she did return the gesture and touched it with hers.

She already had in mind how she wanted to start off and she looked like she would want to lock up with him, but before moving her arms in she would instead look to drop down and execute a drop toe hold. She wasn't afraid of locking up with him, but wanted to see if he could be taken down early.

After touching knuckles with Daiskue, Jamal took a step back to steady himself before stepping back in ready to fight. He wasn't one to hold back and gender meant nothing inside the ring to him. Though before he could get started, Daisuke tried to take him down with a drop toe hold. He was a bit surprised by this start and went down, but stopped his face from hitting the mat by putting his hands down.

Maybe he could have done something if he resisted the move, but he was confident in his ground game. For now he just needed to get in control. Jamal tried to get into a neutral position by pulling his limbs in under his body. His arms would be easy, but one of his legs would have to shake Daisuke off.

While Jamal prevented his face from making contact with the mat, the fact that Daisuke was able to take him down was all that she wanted out of this. Of course she had to quick to follow up otherwise it would have been for nothing. As Jamal went to bring his limbs in Dai would quickly transition to his top half, though sneaking in a small knee drop one of his arms on the way as she locks to headlock him with him on the ground.

After trying to get to a neutral stance, Jamal received some damage from Daisuke. A knee drop to an arm and now a headlock. Not the start he imagined, but he could work with this. After getting into position, Jamal started to force himself up into a standing position. While he fought to get to his feet he grabbed onto Daisuke's arm to try and keep her close.

As Jamal raised up Daisuke looked to continue with her grip on him, though she did feel him pulling on her.

Once up in a standing position, Jamal held onto Daisuke and began to walk backwards toward the ropes. After stepping into the ropes, he would the try to throw her off and into the ropes across the ring.

Having felt this type of movement before Daisuke knew where this could lead, though of course he could surprise her and try to catch her off guard with something but went off ropes. As she was being moved back she was thinking of what to do after going off them, which would have allowed Jamal to surprise her. Since nothing like that happened she came off the ropes and when she came off the ropes on the other side she had in her mind looking to dodge a potential high strike and come running back at him before leaping up to catch him with a crucifix, looking to pull him over for a quick pin.

Of course that would all depend on Jamal's reaction time and how he handled her coming off the ropes at him, but at least she was able to think fast on the fly.
