Satomi, Shizuka, and Yui: The mind of a mad genius

When both of the girls placed a hand on Satomi's shoulder, she could have sworn she felt her heart skip a beat. It moved her so deeply to know people cared about her like this, and a few moments later, she found her vision bluring just slightly from the corner of her eyes. Was she... crying? No-no, that couldn't be possible, she was smiling, she felt happy over this whole thing. So then.. why were there a tears forming in her eyes?

"Thank you... thank you so much. You don't know how much it means to me to.. to hear you both say that." She couldn't hide it anymore. At this point, Satomi knew she was deeply moved and happier than she ever had been before at this very moment. And she would draw the two into a hug, her arms wrapped around there shoulders just as they had their hands on hers, and the tears started to come down like rain from her olive eyes, the once cold scientist now drawn to tears of joy.

Tears of joy also filled Shizuka's and Yui's eyes. It was always something nice to meet a new friend, and even nicer when that friend really appreciated them. In this case, it was clear that Shizuka and Yui were feeling comfortable with Satomi, even if she was a little...weird. Both girls answered to the hug by hugging her strongly.

" You're welcome, Satomi....Every human being...No, every being in the world deserves a friend. It doesnt matter how weird that being could be, there's always another being even weirder. " Yui explained. Now her phylosofic side was coming to the surface.

Even though she was happy, and even as she had been embraced with the two girls, it didn't stop Satomi's silent tears from falling. Her smile never vanished, and she felt better than she had in many years, but for some reason, she couldn't stop crying, it felt like her troubles were washing away as she did. From here though, as Satomi heard Yui's words, she didn't know where to go from here. She didn't want to let go, at least not yet, and for once, the contact of being with someone else was something she didn't shake off, actually wanting to be close to someone for now. She didn't see it as anything intimate from having their soft bodies leaning against hers for the hug, not like that anyway, but there was still the desire to be close to them like this, never letting go as she cried silently, but her smile remained. She really didn't want this moment to end.

Shizuka and Yui felt Satomi's arm starting to squeeze them against her really strong. But even with that little pain they were suffering, they didnt feel like letting Satomi go either. They could understand how it was to be a lonely scientist, mainly because all the movies they saw together.

Shizuka started to tap her hand on Satomi's back, softly asking her to release or her not completely recovered back would get crushed again. " Satomi...could you let me go..? ..My back is starting to hurt...." And as she said that, she closed her eyes and remained there, waiting for the scientist to listen to her whinning.

Like a lightbulb just clicked on, Satomi flinched and looked a little surprised to hear those words, only then realizing how close she was getting to her friends and making Shizuka a little uncomfortable. She hadn't forgotten about her back, she just found herself getting lost in the moment. It felt calming to her, and she could just relax with them around, like nothing else really mattered.

"Ah.. um, s-sorry." She slowly eased up and let go of the two, even letting her hand glide gently along Shizuka's back to comfort her, still smiling lightly the entire time. "You should still take it easy, the therapy needs a week after all." She reminded Shizuka, but also looking at Yui as she said this. In fact, she was making sure Yui of all people knew, because she doubted Shizuka would really sit still for another week, and that Yui was responsible in making sure she watched over her friend from doing anything foolish.

Glancing back at Shizuka though, her hand still idly rubbing her back, Satomi used her other hand to adjust her glasses after wiping her tears away, much calmer and composed now that the exchange was done, and she let the releif sink in. But she still tried to make a proposal on seeing her often, and then an idea struck her. "I was thinking, maybe I can just meet you for your check ups at the League? I mean, we'd both be there and probably have some off time like we did earlier, right?"

" It's okaaay.....I cant blame you nor your happiness for that. " Shizuka said with a smirk across her face and soft giggle. Satomi's hand was really calming the recent pain, and in a matter of seconds, she wasnt feeling any kind of pain. She only paid attention to the scientist's hand motion, completely ignoring the warning.

Yui nodded. " I'll keep her secure. One week you said, right? I think it wouldnt be a problem. " She added as smirked at the scientist and looked at Shizuka, who looked pretty relaxed. It was strange that she hasnt complained about it yet...Anyway, she didnt want to get Shizuka to scream and yell at her now, in Satomi's lab, so she only kept silence. " Okay, I think we could visit you there. But still.....I dont know how we could pay you all the services that you gave us..."

"Oh I already told you, please stop worrying about it so much. You don't realize it, but you've already paid me back with more than enough." Satomi's words were absolutely true, carrying a soft side from the scientist in everything she said, holding off her colder, calculating side she sometimes had as she felt more at ease around her friends. Of course, she was still the eccentric and strange girl anyone knew, but it just seemed like she could be more open around these girls. Like.. she could just be herself.

"Well then, I've got a match tomorrow anyway, my first one really. It's against some 'Judy' woman, I should be fine. Afterwords, we can meet up; I'll have everything set for you by then." Acting as if the match wasn't something that bothered her now, it honestly didn't. Now that she had gone through a spar with Shizuka, she felt a lot more confident about what was to come. In fact, she could safely say she was ready thanks to these two. She even had expectations to sparing with Yui in the near future, the two having this strange effect on her that simply made Satomi feel like she was ready for anything that could be thrown at her in the ring.

" Okaay! We'll be cheering for you! " Shizuka playfully said, jumping and throwing her arms into the air, feeling pretty good now. Yui let out a sigh. Being the first day, it was already too hard to keep Shizuka calmed. But maybe going to see her match was something they should do. After all, if she keeps Shizuka down on the chair, she wouldnt have much of a trouble. " Think...We'll see you tomorrow then, Satomi... "

And with that, both girls leaned forward on Satomi, wrapping their arms around their new friend for another try. " Thank you..." Both girls whispered into Satomi's ears at the same time. Shizuka and Yui were so happy....Not only the made a new friend, but Shizuka's back was going to get better too.
