Satomi, Shizuka, and Yui: The mind of a mad genius

This girl was truly strong willed. Not only did she prove it in the ring, but now she proved it in her lab, taking on a pain no one else should have been able to before. Satomi truly expected Shizuka to pass out, but the way she was now, Satomi didn't think that the schoolgirl would be able to stay conscious for much longer. Her concern growing, Satomi slowly hopped herself up on the table beside Shizuka, her hand still resting on the girl's lap while her other softly rubbed the girl's back, hoping to comfort her some, even if it wasn't something Satomi really was used to offering. "You're going to be okay now. Just you wait, in a few days, you'll be better than ever, I promise that." A soft smile to her lips as she offered those soft words, Satomi looked back between Shizuka and then towards Yui, speaking to them both. "You know... no normal person should have been able to sustain that, you guys are really something."

" Heh....Heheheh...." Shizuka laughed softly, grunting a bit between due to the pain she recently suffered. " Yeah...I guess I'm strong...." She added at the end of her sentence before giving Satomi a warm smile. She didnt seem to be in quite a pain, but looked a little relieved.

Yui let out a deep sigh. ' Wow...I thought she was going to die....' . Yui thought as she folded her arms under her bust and gave Satomi a friendly smirk. " Thank you for helping Shizuka....I think...we owe you one " She said with a light tune of voice, trying to find a way to give the scientist some kind of reward for what she did.

Without even feeling the need to be thanked, sticking beside Shizuka for now, Satomi would simply shake her head at Yui's words, not finding them to be neccessary. "It's fine really." She said with a calm expression on her face as her expressions softened, clearly releived with how the whole proccess had went. She was really pleased that not only had it been successful, but that Shizuka took part, since the girl had such an amazing stamina. "Friend's do things for one another without expecting something in return, right?" Though it was true, the way Satomi had asked it was like she really had meant it as a question, desiring deep down something to be said about that, like she was hoping to hear again the confirmation of her being known as their friend. Even if she did just put Shizuka through such turmoil, it was all for a greater cause in the end, and she had hoped it wouldn't be forgotten.

".....Of course..." Yui answered back at the scientist, now turning her eyes to look at Shizuka in the face. She seemed so relieved that the pain had ended by now...Her heart was calming down after such a scene she had to see. Yui planted her hands on the bed, right beside of Shizuka, to support herself and she looked at Satomi curiously. 'Wow...She really is intelligent...and I bet she is not much older than me...' She thought.

Shizuka meanwhile, was relaxing her body and calming herself down. Though she couldnt feel any pain right now, she was still a bit scared by the recent experience. She knew it was the best option, but...did it have to be so painful and dangerous? Anyway, she was alive, and that's all that she cared about. Soon she would be back!

Satomi would watch the two girls interact, feeling a little odd about what she saw. Even though she was becoming friends with the two, she never saw it possible as having a friendship as close as these two had, feeling... jealous, but just a little though. She only had one friend a long time ago who she ever felt close to, and the two parted ways a few years ago.

Giving a soft sigh, Satomi took her hands from off Shizuka's back and lap and hopped off the bench, putting her results she had written on her notebook aside now, and making a strange hand motion with her pinky and forefinger. Almost immediattly, a large metal axle came down; propped from the cieling at a few hinges, and being about 6 feet from the ground, looking right down at Satomi. Yes, looking, as the large tube had a green sphere at the end of it, the bright glowing green 'eye' being exactly similiar to the one on the front of the door.

"yEs MaStEr?" It asked, possessing the same voice from before, as if it was the very same machine.

"Ianti, take the results to the proccessing unit and write this as a success." She said simply, the machine quickly plugging a USB into the notebook and only moments later zipping off back into the darkness when it finished. She would then turn back to her friends, a calm look on her face as she decided to explain herself. "If you don't mind.." She began, her tone more proffesional once again as she spoke, looking at the two. "I'd like you to come here daily for me to moniter you're progress. I hope that won't be a problem... will it?"

"Hmmm....It will be a problem to come here absolutely every day, but....we could use a tent and sleep in your garden. That...if you're not against it. " Yui propposed to the scientist, explaining that going back to the city and coming here again every day would be a bit exhausting, and pretty expensive if they used a taxi.

Shizuka lifted her upper body, wanting to hear what Satomi would answer to their propposal. It was so exciting! If Satomi allowed them, they could have a camp right in her garden! They could tell horror stories, and make a fire, and, and.....lot more of stuff!

Satomi was not at all thrilled by the idea. She really didn't enjoy being outdoors, nor was there a desire to have people staying close or in her backyard like that. It seemed too abnormal and somewhat bothersome to her. Shaking her head with a frown, Satomi rejected the idea, trying not to be so harsh about it. "I'm afraid I can't allow that. Perhaps I'll ust come to you instead if that's not too difficult. For the moment though, I suppose you can stay tonight." Backing up her rejection with a kind offer in the end, she looked between the two girls, adjusting her glasses for a moment as she spoke. There always seemed to be a proffesional output from Satomi's actions, and she would never seem to lose that, not unless there was an embarressing situation she had been put in or anything of the sort. But for now, she just stood among friends, something that put her a little at ease even though she wouldn't admit it, next approaching Yui in a calm and composed manner as she brought up a question. "How about you, Yui-san. Do you need help with anything? Just name it, I'm sure I can offer assistance somehow."

Shizuka was just about to start complaining and whinning because of Satomi's answer. " Oooohh....why ca---" But in the middle of her question, she was interrupted by Yui. " Of course....We dont want to be a plague for you. " It seemed like the pink haired girl was expecting that answer. It wasnt really nice to have someone you barely know to sleep in your garden, and Yui could understand it.

" Okay...I guess we'll pass too. Now everyone needs a good night of sleep to get better. Especially this headstrong. " Yui said, pointing at Shizuka, obviously. The younger schoolgirl wasnt happy at all with Yui decission, but immediatly stood up to follow her. "Nope. I'm completely healthy. But I'll give you call if something happens. Okay? " She stated. Shizuka looked a bit depressed that she wasnt allowed by Yui to stay at Satomi's place for the night.

A soft chuckle escaped Satomi's lips when she saw Yui and Shizuka's behavior. Her colder and calculating personality she always had when at work or in the lab had slipped away for a moment, even smiling again when she watched the two girls. They really were like sisters or best of friends, maybe even lovers..? She still wasn't sure, but Satomi wasn't going to ask again, she had already recieved an answer, even if she suspected more.

"You're probably right, I'm still rather sore after the spar earlier, and.. I have a lot of work to do unfortunately. I would like it if you could keep in touch though. That... would mean a lot to me." At the end of her words, there was a sincerity in Satomi's words with a hint of meloncholy that showed she meant it. Satomi never knew until today just how lonely she really was, and these two helped open her eyes just a little. Even thought they kept thanking her and asking if there was anything they could do for her in return, they didn't know that Satomi felt they already did more than enough just by choosing to be her friend.

Shizuka and Yui understood perfectly what Satomi meant. They didnt want to be a burden for their new friend. And...as Satomi finished her statement, both girls moved to where the scientist was standing. Shizuka placed her right hand on the girl's left shoulder, while Yui moved her left hand to the scientist's right shoulder. " Of course! That's what friends do, right? We cant just forget you after all you did for us, can we? " Shizuka said, for the first time, with a mature tune of voice. Yui smirked and nodded. " We'll stay in touch. And if anything happens, either you or us, we can call each other. " The pink haired schoolgirl added to Shizuka's statement.
