its just you look at the top ten for the main title and you know who to face and try to beat, its a cool mechanism that I think would be interesting for other titles to have as well

" title="Razz" /> In all seriousness though, this WOULD be a pretty cool idea to have separate rankings for each belt, and if you need more people to maintain it, I'm sure there would be people more than happy to maintain the lists...like me lol

Oh. I was worried that you weren't clear on which characters are good to face with regards to which belt.

I'm not interested in gamifying the other belts (any more than they already are). There are several reasons I don't intend to do that, but I'm not going to explain myself. Tatyina (or Kel) may have a different opinion.

couldn't something be put in place to at least tell you which wrestlers may be up for a shot in the future? if not a rankings board perhaps a short list of women in the running for a title shot? at the moment it seems like a number 1 contender is picked at random is all, how are they picked? is it mod choice?

Well, if you want to be part of the top 10, you need to challenge the wrestler in spot 10 and 9 I believe. And you have to keep fighting upwards from there. The numbers challenge each other in ranked matches to get higher on the leader board.

Actually there is a list of number one contenders and who holds the belts. I belive Kelsea keeps it updated and it can be found in the rules and info section

Cyberfighting (forum wrestling in this case) and pro-wrestling have much in common. In case you didn't knew pro-wrestling is not truly a competitive sport. Neither is this, although there is certain level of competition (sometimes).

Think about it.

Does WWE or TNA have a ranking or a list of who are the top contenders? Do they keep win-lose records? How many wins you have determines who gets a title shoot? Can HHH, Undertaker or the Rock suddenly come and jump the whole ranking to get a title shoot?

How does someone becomes champ in a pro-wrestling federation?

By being a good worker. By 'paying your dues'. By being popular. By drawing crowds and making money for the company. And very important: BY BEING RELIABLE.

We don't make money in AFW (yet), but we do have a crowd and the crowd is the players themselves... who also happen to be the bookers, and the promoters and the everything. Being a good worker (aka a good player) will make you popular, will get you matches and will get you spots on the PPVs (the only events that are booked by the mods). Paying your dues will make other players be willing to put your characters over too.

You can go out and beat every title holder out there and if people think you are not a good worker, that you are supering or that you are just not fun, nobody will fight you again. Get enough people complaining about you (or simply saying they aren't interested in playing with you) and you can forget about any chance to appear in a PPV or ever hold a title... or ever get another match if you piss everybody.

So forget about a list of characters to beat and think more of a list of people (the characters' players) you have to befriend, play with, impress and earn their trust.

And be reliable. The last thing a federation wants is to give the title to someone who is going to leave. The same applies for AFW, the last thing we want is to give a title to someone who will stop playing.

One last thing: titles are important, sure... but titles are props for storylines. If you think of them as medals you are doing it wrong.
