One last thing: titles are important, sure... but titles are props for storylines. If you think of them as medals you are doing it wrong.

We don't make money in AFW (yet), but we do have a crowd and the crowd is the players themselves... who also happen to be the bookers, and the promoters and the everything. Being a good worker (aka a good player) will make you popular, will get you matches and will get you spots on the PPVs (the only events that are booked by the mods). Paying your dues will make other players be willing to put your characters over too.

You can go out and beat every title holder out there and if people think you are not a good worker, that you are supering or that you are just not fun, nobody will fight you again. Get enough people complaining about you (or simply saying they aren't interested in playing with you) and you can forget about any chance to appear in a PPV or ever hold a title... or ever get another match if you piss everybody.

So forget about a list of characters to beat and think more of a list of people (the characters' players) you have to befriend, play with, impress and earn their trust.

And be reliable. The last thing a federation wants is to give the title to someone who is going to leave. The same applies for AFW, the last thing we want is to give a title to someone who will stop playing.

This part is what I wanted to know actually, so its not like a ranking system exactly, more like a popularity contest. Also now I know that the ppv's are mod picked. I just need to see who the popular characters and insert my characters into their storylines somehow.

I think you're missing the point a little bit, DG. Saying it's a popularity contest isn't really accurate, and having everyone on the board trying to figure out what they have to do to get to the top of that pile is what causes problems.

But here's the short list:
Taylor Parker is the best.
Natalia The Dream is a smelly pig.

while i don't agree with that short list lol, I think it is you who the missed the point. its the popularity of the wrestlers with the crowd and bookers and such that gets them noticed, wins are less important than just making fun matches everyone can enjoy, at least if I understood that right. It makes sense that those on top are the more experienced people on this site and the most active too, so they're characters have to fun to wrestle with, I've found great matches by using the top ten for instance to find quite a few fun players so far, wrestling a few of their characters. I'm not trying to get to the top of anything, I just want to find fun matches and this way seems quicker than waiting for people to find me <img src=

The title thing isn't a reward for being a good AFW player, it's just a plot device. There's no fun here. This is a place of business. If you want fun, GTFO.

why my dear blue, did I ever say the titles were rewards I sought? XD If you want business go to an accounting firm, the AFW is certainly a place for fun!
