AV 19 Valley Doll vs. Death Bunny

Awestruck fans around the world could thank a certain flowery lover of D.B.'s in regards to what they just witnessed. Blossom having been the thoughtful genesis of that maneuver upon noodling up ways to showcase more of Bunny's natural talent in a way that could ingratiate herself more to the public. A prospect that D.B. herself never bothered with until being insisted upon by her diminutive girlfriend one night when D.B. nonchalantly mentioned in couch conversations that she could tightrope walk around the ring with the best of them. Blossom's...adorable, pleading eventually compelling to D.B. to add it to her repertoire...and the stadium's echoing adulation was proof positive that Blossom knew her stuff. Even the Grim Hopper giving pause to glance around the stadium's cheering masses with a cocked eyebrow before encroaching upon the downtrodden Cali-girl.

"Yeah well...s'my girlfriend's idea. The thing's you do for love, ya know..." D.B. remarked with a carefree shrug after standing directly over Valley, one booted leg positioned aside Val's hips as she peered down at the languishing Californian. That bit of mid-match dialogue/bonding being abruptly interrupted by the cold hands of Death herself shooting down to for a dual choking grasp on Valley's neck before hauling her vertical like. Once on her feet, D.B. would relinquish one hand to situate one of Valley's arms over her shoulder before taking a grip upon the side of her pink tights. Eventually being wedged up her perky backside in the hoisting telltale signs of an incoming and hellacious chokeslam, Valley lifted skyward with an unforgiving canvas awaiting her below...

If you listened closely enough, you could hear the faint sound of a certain flowery lover squealing for joy backstage.

Back in the ring, Valley was busy reeling from Death Bunny’s strike, trying to shake off the pain in her shoulders. As if the physical shock wasn’t bad enough, she received a mental shock soon after, as her opponent mentioned her girlfriend. Didn’t know she swung that way for one thing, but who was she even talking about? Someone on the roster? She didn’t exactly strike her as the mushy type, so it was hard to imagine the sort of person she’d even fall in with…

Those musings, deep as they were, got cut short when Death Bunny reached down and started to hoist her up, going for the telltale startup to a chokeslam. A move that Valley definitely did not want to be on the receiving end of, but one she knew how to deal with. Instead of fighting the lift, she jumped with it, giving it more heft than her opponent accounted for and using it like a boost to leap over her foe’s head. She came down nimbly behind Death Bunny, crouching down like a coiled spring. When her foe turned around, Valley Doll planned to hit her square in the face with a nice surprise - nothing less than a Superkick, delivered by one of the best strikers on the roster.

D.B. saw no harm in explaining the genesis of this newly debuted signature move of hers given Valley wasn't exactly in any position to capitalize on the brief bit of banter between professionals. Although the Grim One did find it somewhat ironic that a veteran high-flyer, whose repertoire was primarily captivating aerial attacks, was the one flinging accusations of D.B. being a show-off in the ring. Regardless, it seemed to do the trick given the fans wonder-struck cheering and applauding reaction to D.B.'s natural athleticism. She briefly imagined how happy this made Blossom. Although this didn't mean D.B. was onboard for Blossom's idea for wrestling in a skintight purple bunny girl outfit. That was one foot that was going to remain down.

But back to the matters at hand. Namely Valley's clenched neck as the Rabbit Reaper hauled the spry Californian off of the canvas with her unnatural strength and clear intent on choke-slamming Val down to Hell. A fresh start-up to an entire carnival of brutally devastating maneuvers...except at the last minute Valley leapt off of the line for the ride as she vaulted upward along with D.B.'s pulling strength and landed behind the cantankerous cottontail. Spinning in place to face Valley introduced D.B. once again to Valley's educated feet with a superkick clocking her in the jaw and sending her reeling backwards. Rattled and dazed but still vertical despite the quivering instability of her legs...

Valley clicked her teeth after landing that kick, loving the feel of the impact. There were just some times when you landed a kick and you knew, you knew, it rang your opponent’s bell, and that was definitely one of them. A good, resonating impact, nice and clean, making everyone wince, all the way back to the cheap seats. Death Bunny was stunned, her feet were wobbling, looking unsteady - it had taken her longer than usual, but Valley had finally taken control of things.

Since this was a special occasion, Valley decided to hit Death Bunny with a special version of a common move, something she’d made up for the occasion. Turning away from her opponent, she took a short hop and planted her hands on the floor, flipping forward into ropes and letting them bounce her backwards in a handspring maneuver. With the added moment, her feet came down on the floor for a scant second, before she flipping backwards and sent her leg up and over in a wide arc, looking to clock Death Bunny in the face with a powered version of her signature - the Pele Kick.

Witnessing the quaking instability in D.B.'s legs would have given most anyone reason to celebrate. Scant few people can attest to having gone toe-to-toe with the Hellacious Hare in a striker's duel and be able to come out the seeming victor, a strong breeze apparently being all that was needed to have Valley be able to add that accomplishment to her list of wrestling accolades. The treads of her sneakered boot having scrapped the bottom of D.B.'s chin as she hunched forward with an even more ghoulish/undead posture than usual with limped arms dangling, huffing through her soft lips and as prime a target as one could ask for.

Though through the clouded haze in her half-lidded vision, D.B recognized a blurred figure flipping about and flashes of nostalgia overcame her befuddled thought processes. Acting on reflexive wrestling instinct alone suddenly compelling D.B. to step forward and catch the vaulting Cali-girl in mid-air and in the most precarious of positions...upside-down and with a tightened waist-lock keeping her there. A mushed faceful of Valley's crotch firstly prompting the Bunny Girl to readjust so her head was instead affixed between Val's tanned thighs, all before before she balanced herself on her tip-toes and brought Val's comeback party to an end with the Gravestone Piledriver!!!

It had been going so well, too. She’d managed to catch her opponent to surprise, and now she was on the way to seizing that advantage. She had been in this situation more times than she could count, with her style revolving around turning little moments like these back into her favor. The Pele Kick was one of her biggest gamechangers, and this advanced version was guaranteed to change the tide.

She flipped back, her leg flew threw the air, and…

”What-”

Valley knew she was in trouble when she found herself staring at Death Bunny’s crotch, plucked out of the air and held upside down. In the telltale position for a piledriver.

There was no countering this, no escaping it, absolutely nothing Valley could do. Like watching the blade drop on a guillotine, she was helpless as Death Bunny dropped down and rammed her skull into the canvas, sending shockwaves of pain throughout her entire nervous system and leaving her in a foggy hazy. Life left the Slamazon’s body and she flopped before her opponent, arms spread out and eyes glazed over.

Varying up one's moveset wasn't something that training coach's hammered into a wrestler's head just for fun. The method to their screaming madness was done to make sure you never got too predictable in the ring, because the price for that could be undeniably steep. And it didn't get more steep than being caught in mid-air while upside-down by a wrestler whose kayoing finisher is a pile-driver. Valley's first Pele Kick having indeed saved her bacon earlier on in the match, but going to the same offensive well too often had her caught in the most precarious of positions, with the booming thud following soon after.

Valley flopping down with the release from D.B.'s arms, who remained on her knees and hunched over in rattled disorientation on one arm to the gobsmacked awe of the audience who did not, see that counter coming. The Undead Hopper lurching over Valley to grab both of her arms and cross them over her fulsome breasts, now being squished and compressed upon as D.B. weighed herself against her. D.B.'s knees spread to her sides with Valley positioned like cadaver in a coffin, a ghastly white on D.B.'s eyes now void of pupils as the referee began slapping her hand on the canvas just beside them.

"One!"

”3…!”

Three?

Valley’s eyes shot opened, then scrunched up as the pain came back to her all at once. A three count? When did that happen? She didn’t remember a one or a two, but now she was on her back and looking up at the ceiling and WHOA.

Death Bunny’s deadly gaze was cast down on her, a shocking thing to wake up to, as the bell rang and the official called for the first fall. There was no mistaking it, she’d just been pinned, though her mind was blank on the details. As near as she could tell, she’d been knocked unconscious for a spell. Awesome, just awesome.

No need to be a sore loser about it, especially when she hadn’t even really lost yet. Just one fall. She could pull this together. ”Okay.” She grumbled and made an attempt to stand as soon as Death Bunny would let her. ”You got me. Once.”

Death let up on her ghoulish pinning position once the decision was official with the ringing of the bell and the illuminated number "1" shining next to her name on the Titan-tron counting the pinfalls. Scattered applause from those in her fanbase sounding off around them as D.B. gingerly started ascending while cupping her jaw and shifting it around to make sure there was no lasting effect from Valley's super-kick. What she wouldn't give to have this woman stop kicking her in the head already.

"...Well, DUH." Death bitterly retorted with a frigid shoulder being offered, spitting a wad of blood outside the ring before marching towards her corner turnbuckle. A break in the action being just what the ringside doctor ordered as D.B. went about recuperating as much she could in the seconds before they got this multi-fall show back on the road. Stretching out her muscles and rotating her joints once time came for them to start approaching eachother in the middle of the ring once again.

As Valley took the time to stand back up and recoup, brief as it was, she focused one question: Where had she messed up there?

The obvious answer was that Death Bunny’s size had been the problem, but she knew that wasn’t it. She’d taken on big women before, she’d defeated big women, that wasn’t anything but old hat for her. She should’ve been able to outmaneuver this woman and keep her on the backfoot, wear her down with speed and superior stamina. But that just wasn’t flying. Something had to change.

Valley rose to her feet, a little wobbly at first, before she made her way back to the corner and leaned against it, staring at her opponent from across the ring and pondering as she looked on, her eyes narrowed to slits. Yes, she was fast...but Death Bunny wasn’t exactly slow. She was probably one of the fastest bruisers she’d dealt with, even beating out Chris Morgan. That would call for a more measured approach to things.

Deep breath. In, out. Let’s go, Last Woman Standing.

The bell rang and Valley come out from her corner with a slow approach, moving towards the center of the ring. She lowered her body as she neared the middle, going into a classic grappler’s stance, arms out and legs bent. She didn’t make a move beyond that, however, keeping her position and locking eyes with Death Bunny, waiting for her response.
