Re: AV 19 Valley Doll vs. Death Bunny
The crowd wasn’t sure what to expect out of Valley Doll tonight. While she was no stranger to the PPV scene, rumors had been circulating that she was about debut a new look and theme tonight, something to commemorate her last match in Friction and to bring with her into Tension. That wasn’t all that weird for the Slamazon. She’d changed her look three times while she was in Friction, went with multiple themes as the years passed, and she was long overdue for an update. With this, she was about to embark on one of the biggest matches of her career. It just made sense.
Sure enough, hard-hitting rock began to blare over the loudspeakers, a [url=https://youtu.be/hFEyfRteza0]tune[/i] the not many of them were likely to be familiar with. Those that could understand English could see why Valley chose it as her new theme.
You don't know what's happening, you want to go home
But there's nowhere to hide
You walk out on stage, your first time alone
The crowd's going wild...and you feel so alive
You could stand up and take this all night
Valley emerged from the back as a spotlight came shooting through the darkness, illuminating her and giving the crowd a perfect look of her new outfit.
The crowd gave an appreciating round of applause as she made her way to the ring, not only liking what she wore, but the way she showed it off. Swinging her hips, stepping in time to the music, winking to the crowd. It was the energetic, bouncing Valley Doll that they’d all come to know over the years, and realizing that this was the last time they’d all see her coming down this ramp for a long while, if ever, was a sobering thought. But the support was there. The love was there. No matter where Valley went, she’d always appreciate that.
They love you...but you're in love with the spotlight!
You're the Spotlight Kid!
She held the Slamazons Title on her arms as she made her way down, and promptly slid it into the ring, letting it come to rest right in the middle. Hopping up to the apron, Valley yanked on the top rope and slingshotted herself inside, doing a full flip in the air before she came down in a three point stance. Grabbing the belt, she lifted it up and held it high, letting it shimmer in the spotlight. This was it. Her time to shine.
She was ready.

Re: AV 19 Valley Doll vs. Death Bunny
A palpable swell of anxiousness, tension, and enthusiastic hype started to build once Valley's rock and roll ballad went silent, the upcoming entrance having become something of a main attraction in and of itself over the years. The Dead Woman's appearance at these major headlining events at PPV's expanding in there macabre spectacle as her own popularity steadily began skyrocketing. Those fans who were firmly on Team Death Bunny could easily be distinguished via the floppy bunny ears they were wearing from the merch stalls or the rhythmic chanting of her name they were bellowing into the night sky. Fervent cheering that continued onward until being silenced by the telltale GONG of her theme beginning...and the complete envelopment of darkness befalling them.
Signaling the appearance of twin lines of marching monks holding fiery torches from the murky nethers, marching forward throughout the pluming grey of the fog seemingly coming out of nowhere. Their torches lighting the way down the expansive ramp and being the sole source of tangible lighting, as if they were lighthouses on the rocky shores built towards keeping fisher-men from meeting a grim fate. None of their faces could be ascertainable given how low they hung their heads as if in solemn reverence for the individual about to darken the arena even moreso with her mere presence.
Once the steadily marching lines of shambling monks had reached the ring and were standing across from one another...The Avatar Of Death herself would started stepping forward to the complete engrossment of the masses around her. People captivated by the sight of such an unequaled presentation as she took plodding, prolonged steps between the eldritch monks underneath the blazing luminescence of their torches. An extra addition being the rocketing of interspersed fire being blown upward from the floor beneath the murky fog. Cell phone camera lights dotted across the expansive arena as lightning effects jolted across the titan-tron with flickering flashes of tombstones, graveyards, and nether-worldly symbols. Death Bunny sauntering along until she finally came to the ring's steps and from there into the ring through the ropes whilst holding onto her wide-brimmed hat...several more seconds spent of her merely stoically standing in her ring corner until she tipped off her hat, illuminating the arena once more and offering much better lightning of her own newly stitched wrestling attire...

Re: AV 19 Valley Doll vs. Death Bunny
Goosebumps. Valley Doll had goosebumps.
Yes, she did her level best to keep her cool in the corner as she stretched and bounced, staying light on her toes as her opponent made her entrance. A big part of this whole deal was appearances, after all - staying on point, not blinking, trying to play the mind games. The monks, the ligths, the cameras flickering and the crowd’s awe, it was all just part of the mystique. She was Valley Doll. The Slamazon. The Champ. She’d been down this road before, she would be again.
But inside, things were a bit more complicated. She’d gone over Death Bunny’s matches, studied her moves, but it hadn’t helped her come up with a gameplan as much as she would’ve liked. The truth was, she didn’t tussle with giants all that much - Alaina and Chris Morgan were the only ones who came to mind, and they weren’t the same sort of wrestler that Death Bunny was, weren’t made from the same stock. She could be confident and smile, sure, but she was flying blinder than she wanted to.
Valley did her best to push that all out of her head as her opponent made her way to the opposite corner and the lights came on. She lit up the second her eyes adjusted, surprised to see she wasn’t the only one who’d done a little outfit shopping for this particular match, and more than a little honored. She didn’t know, couldn’t know, if Death Bunny felt the same way about things that she did, but in her book, wearing a special outfit for a match was a strong indicator of how seriously you took it. Valley didn’t just swap out outfits for any old occasion, but the most pivotal points in her career.
”Phew.” She had a quick huff and straightened up. ”Showtime, go time.”
Valley stepped forward and made her way to the middle of the ring, bouncing on her toes as she approached. She swung her torso about, getting out any last minute, lingering kinks, and smirking at Death Bunny the whole time. ”Anything to say before we kick this off?”

Re: AV 19 Valley Doll vs. Death Bunny
The mysticism of an otherworldly presence darkening the stadium, and all the morose pageantry it entailed, had ignited the starry-eyed imaginations of the younger viewing audience. Some caught on camera and spellbound in awe at the funereal procession heralding the arrival of the Grim Hopper herself. All eyes fixated on her and not the shambling monks seemingly disappearing into thin air, nor the alleviation of the wafting fog dissipating into nothingness. Death Bunny's mere PPV entrance having become an attraction all it's own and one major reason why fans would plunk down hard cash for seats as high as the rafters. Mesmerizing though it may be, eventually the presentation abated and there stood only the stoic bunny girl herself. Adorned in a fetching leather corset, boots and hots pants which she had to thank her Blossoming GF for.
Although somewhat apprehensive about changing up her look...D.B. acquiesced when she saw how much heart, care, and detail Blossom had put into her new outfit...but, she couldn't help but wonder if it had to accentuate her breasts so much...and if that was perhaps the underlying motivation behind Blossom designing it this way in the first place...
R-Regardless...D.B. approached the middle of the ring undaunted with a calm stillness to her demeanor. The polar opposite to Valley's limbering springiness across from her. Two masterful veterans who have honed this wrestling craft down to a science but with vastly different approaches. The only motions taking by D.B. were from the ring jostling due to Valley loosening up...the blinking of her eyes...and now her mouth. "A savage lioness...nearing the end of it's prime. Long in the tooth...seeking an inflamed burnout, rather than being put out to pasture. That...is what I'm gifting you. A warrior's demise. I will enjoy honoring you, by being that who buries you." The grim lifelessness to her words being reflected in the impartial gaze honed in on the Valley Girl hopping about, than motioning to twist around to begin approaching her ring corner...

Re: AV 19 Valley Doll vs. Death Bunny
Valley kept her smile on, kept her eyes bright, but she did stop bouncing around without even thinking as Death Bunny came to approach. She figured it was an instinctual thing, like her body knew to keep still in this woman’s vicinity, feeling the menace she radiated like an aura. That and the anticipation had her blood racing. It wasn’t quite fear - she doubted Death Bunny would take a cheap shot before the bell rang, since that would sort of dilute the whole point of them doing this match. But just standing here, with mere moments to go, she was aching for the battle to begin.
Valley raised up on her tiptoes as Death Bunny stated her purpose and bore down on her with that oppressive gaze, casting her haunting shadow across the ring, staring into those unblinking orbs. ”Nearing the end of my prime, huh?” She wagged a finger as she stepped back. ”Let’s see if I can’t change your mind on that.”
Valley made her way to her corner, looking forward the whole time until her back hit the pads. She leaned forward and grabbed the ropes, whipping her hair about to clear it away from her eyes. She knew how she was kicking this match off - had known for a couple of days, actually - and she wanted to make sure she didn’t have a single distraction to mess it up.
The moment the bell rang, the Slamazon charged forward and leaped towards Death Bunny at top speed, trying to hit her with a Shotgun Dropkick before she had the chance to react and get out of her own corner. Putting that speed to good use.

Re: AV 19 Valley Doll vs. Death Bunny
Cold indifference towards another's precious ego was usually the school of thought D.B. incorporated when addressing anyone else who asked her an honest question. Words like "subtlety" and "tact" not exactly being concepts drawn upon frequently in her vocabulary, evident by how The Dead Woman spelled out her foreboding intentions in a rather grimly poetic fashion. As if D.B. were reading Valley her last rites as the veteran quite literally smiled in the face of Death. Peppy and full of heightened adrenaline as if she exuded positivity and were full of life in opposing defiance of the cadaverous and ghoulish obstacle standing before her. Retreating towards her corner whilst showing her back to Valley was a slight show of respect on D.B.'s part that she knew the Valley Girl wouldn't take the low road.
Though she certainly expect Valley to take the exceptionally high-road...
Bunny only just than unclenching the top ropes to her sides before starting her approach towards the middle of the ring when the fight would instead be taken directly to her. D.B. gawking with a reflexive backstep when the soles of Valley's boots boomed against her mushed breasts and propelled her once again back into the corner, bouncing against the turnbuckle with a hacking cough and an uptick to her legs before they settled down, netting Valley the first cheering pop of the match as well. Bunny shook her head with a swaying wobble to her bunny ears to collect herself before stomping out of her corner with an attempted lariat meant to mow down the Valley girl who was just than getting back to her feet.

Re: AV 19 Valley Doll vs. Death Bunny
Valley was on her back, staring at the ceiling. Her eyes wide, her mouth agape, her hair splayed. Unmoving, unspeaking, unthinking except for one, simple question that was echoing through her brain: What just happened?
It had all gone off perfect. She’d seized the moment and taken the fight straight to Death Bunny from the opening bell, closing in on her and putting her best advantage, raw speed, to good use. She could tell from the way her opponent reacted that the maneuver took her off guard, and gave her the opportunity to hit with a picture-perfect dropkick, the kind they’d put on a Wikipedia page for the move. Right on the chest, a hard target to miss with this woman, and she could sense the solid impact.
Maybe not enough to put the woman on her back, but it would definitely have her stunned. She was confident of that fact - so confident that she had no qualms doing a kip-up to rise in an instant, opening her mouth to throw some shade Death Bunny’s way.
Instead, she wound up eating Death Bunny’s arm, as a hellacious lariat connected with enough force to spin her around in the air. She did an unwilling backflip once, then twice, before she came down on her back like a stone, plopping down all catawampus.
Not the best look.

Re: AV 19 Valley Doll vs. Death Bunny
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction...and Valley taking the initiative by walloping The Phenom with as much full throttle strength she could muster was met in kind...signed, sealed and delivered. The clothesline from Hell being delivered with barreling badassery by a frenzied bunny girl staggering forward herself before collapsing into a heap onto the canvas. D.B. vengefully offering the Valley Girl a receipt for that Shotgun Dropkick with an impact akin to a runaway bullet train. No one expected this match to have necessarily a "cold start" or anything, but damned if they weren't already covering their slack-jawed mouths with saucer wide eyes from the veritable TNT explosion of an opening.
D.B. arose with a hunched over posture and an arm shielding where Valley's boot dirt was. Valley's relaxing view of the roof-lights above would be blotted out by an upside-down floppy-eared shadow, a thuggish glare directed downward offered a spoiler as to what was on D.B.'s mind and what she was about to say. "You must be out your goddamn mind..." A bit of D.B.'s street background coming through loud and clear before she affixed both of her hands into Valley's golden and pink-tipped locks, hauling the Californian back up to some semblance of verticality before dragging her back towards D.B's corner turnbuckle. One would be surprised how long D.B. could bounce someone's head into a top turnbuckle, but they were about to find out as she smashed the Valley Girl's face with savage force until the ref's intervention put a stop to the head bashing, and the crowd's counting.

Re: AV 19 Valley Doll vs. Death Bunny
Death Bunny was really strong.
Valley Doll knew that going in, of course, but it was always nice to have confirmation about her opponent’s abilities, and she couldn’t have had much better confirmation than that clubbing blow, leaving her flat on the mat. Her world spinning, head hurting, she made note of how fast the woman was, too, and how quickly she recovered from her dropkick...both things that would be coming to haunt her throughout, she was sure.
She would have little time to think on it, though, as Death Bunny’s shadow came over her, covering more than half of her body as she came in. The Slamazon started to sit up, an attempt to get back up before she could be capitalized on, but her opponent was having none of it, reaching down to get a handfull of her golden locks and yanking her up hard.
”Come on, ref! Hair!” Valley gritted her teeth and hissed as she was hauled up and dragged off to the corner, always hating this and hating it more now that she’d started to grow her hair back out. The good news was that she wouldn’t have to endure it for very long. The bad news was, well…
Valley let out cry after cry after cry as her head was slammed into the corner, hammered into the pads like a stubborn nail, doing nothing to help the head trauma that the lariat had created. It took the referee a moment to intervene, far longer than Valley would’ve liked, and by the time she came back, she was a dazed mess.
But far from finished. Far from done. She showed that by shooting her leg out behind her when felt Death Bunny was close enough, aiming to hit her in the knee.
