AV 19 Valley Doll vs. Death Bunny

Throughout Valley's pre-match preparation, no doubt involving late night's studiously perusing tape library's for D.B.'s matches, one would think that a particularly valuable lesson she would have taken from these matches was that it may be in her better interest to go as long as she could without intentionally stoking the fire's of the Murder Bunny's legendarily volatile temper. Like flashing the red dot of a laser pointer into the eye of an already irritable bull...there were just some things you didn't do. Instead, the Valley Girl ended up perhaps breaking the record for the time it took before D.B. was already started seeing nothing but red and just straight up became royally pissed the hell off. The Dead Woman only starting to cool off right about...

"-ven!...Eight!!...Nine!!!...Ten!!!!"

...now. Audience members counting along throughout the entire headbanging treatment until the referee's chastisement and a sense of having attained satisfaction caused D.B. to relent and unhand the Californian's golden and pink-tipped locks. At first stepping up to the referee with a scowling glare who wisely backed down a few steps but still stood by her official ruling for a break in the action. But turning back to face Valley came with an unexpected development...and an exceptionally painful one. "NGH!!! SHEEZUS!!!" D.B. seethed through gnashed teeth while hobbling back towards the middle of the ring with a shambling walk. What felt like spiked needles poking and prodding at her kneecap kept the Bunny Reaper seemingly distracted enough from her surroundings as she soothed the point of impact...

Valley allowed herself to breath a deep sigh of relief when that kick did its job, cracking Death Bunny in the knee and making her back off a sizeable distance. This was absolutely not the sort of woman she wanted to be trapped in a corner with, as the growing lump on her forehead was strong proof of. She’d gotten off to a bit of a rocky start, but now that she was clear again, she could work on swinging the momentum in her favor. No trouble. Speaking of…

Valley spun about and leaned against the corner, watching as Death Bunny reeled. It hadn’t been all that potent of an attack, but maybe she struck that knee harder than she’d thought. She was hurt, open, and that face was looking oh-so tempting. Valley owed her a good headache.

Screw it.

Valley leaned back against the pads, then took off with a full dash, closing the distance on Death Bunny in a flash. When she was in range, she pressed one foot on the woman’s thigh, used it for a step-up, and attempted to ram her in the face with a knee, looking to tag her with one of her old favorites: the Shining Wizard. A classic. Only the best for this one.

*Oooookay...not gonna blow my stack this time...not gonna blow my stack this time...* D.B.'s internal resolve to not fly off the handle this time was so far standing strong against her bubbling, boiling temper being quelled and calmed down with time. She knew better than to fly off the handle too many times against a seasoned veteran like Valley, who could take a momentary opening and turn it into an insurmountable advantage in her favor. Bunny's knee still smarting as if it had just been soccer kicked by a snot-nosed brat who would be smart enough to scamper away immediately after doing it. This was about the level of sheer irritation the Bunny Reaper had gauged Valley was at right about now.

Keeping a level bunny-eared head on her shoulders did aid her when noticing Val come sprinting out of the ring corner like a bat outta hell, D.B. making like she didn't notice her opponent until the very last second. When she'd suddenly scoop up the Californian into the air with an arm behind her waist, turning all of that forward momentum into an airborne spin-cycle that had the both of them swiveling and twirling around a dizzying number of times. All before ending the roller-coaster ride with a spinning sidewalk slam that D.B. had dubbed Six Feet Deep, a new maneuver of hers that had enough booming impact to shake the ring ropes and impress the stunned audience currently sympathizing for the hard-luck Cali-girl.

It was the look in her eyes.

Valley should’ve known this wouldn’t work when she saw the look in Death Bunny’s eyes as she came in, popping up at the last second.. There was something about the way she was looking at her that didn’t sit right in Valley’s head. Too serious. Too focused. Too aware. It was the look of a woman that she shouldn’t have been rushing headlong into, a worrying glare.

But it was too late, too close, and she was too invested. She went for it. And regretted it.

Valley yelped as she was scooped off the floor like a little child and spun around and around and around, her hair and legs whipping around. It all ended with her coming down for a hard crash, slamming into the mat with a resounding impact that would’ve sent her flopping away if Bunny wasn’t on top.

Unexpected feats of strength were by now becoming a modern occurrence in D.B.'s matches, but even hardcore Bunny loyalists were taken aback by what could colorfully be described as a whirling roller-coaster ride straight to hell. An undeniably brutal method of countering opponent's who relied on continuous forward momentum, and one that had everyone involved no doubt suffering from dizzy spells with perhaps some vertigo tossed in for good measure.

The Phenom landing upon Valley Girl before reflexively rising up to sit beside her, palming her face to cover her eyes and pinch her nose. She needed a hot second to stabilize her spinning vision before immediately centering herself atop Valley once more, hooking both of her legs upward behind the knees with her forearm disrespectfully mushed against the side of Val's face for extra spitefulness in what was the first pin attempt of the match.

Ugh, what even was that move? Valley Doll thought she’d been hit with every move in the book in her nearly two decades of wrestling, but that was a first, even for her lofty standards. A side slam that spun her around in a full circle to build up her momentum and send her crashing down? Wow. The woman who came out like an undead bunny wasn’t lacking for creativity in any areas, it seemed.

”2…!”

...when did the referee start counting?!

Valley through her shoulder up with a hard jolt at two and a half, narrowly avoiding what would’ve been the fastest loss of her career. She’d been so out of it that she hadn't even registered the first count, definitely not a good sign with a match that wasn’t even five minutes old.

Anyone who dresses as the macabre embodiment of fluffy-eared unlife can be branded under many titles...but uncreative would assuredly not be among them. But opportunistic would be. Hence why she opted to attempt a quickee pin-fall, one that practically may have succeeded had she pounced upon Valley a second earlier. Death rebounding up to a seated position with a scoffing grimace, but garnering some respect for Valley for not going out like that. Nevertheless, she steadfastly began ascending back up to her feet...

...with Valley in tow. Tugging the Californian up by her arm and the back of her head at a stilted pace, which was unsurprising given how fast-paced and outright bananas the beginning of the match was. But now that D.B. had Valley all up close and personal like this, the tone was set for something more her style. Or as stylish as a wound-back headbutt was when she had Val's cranium clamped onto with both of her gloved, clawed hands before releasing her grip.

The crazy bitch headbutted her.

Valley had still been woozy as Death Bunny hauled her up, trying to get her bearings straight after getting rocked about like this. She was still trying to get over how close that count had been, definitely not liking the dire straits that she was already finding herself in with a match like this - she was far, far too worn out for a match that could’ve potentially gone to three falls.

She was just starting to think of ways to get back in the mix when Death Bunny decided to derail her thought train with, of all things, the front of her skull. The blow sent Valley staggering back and filled her world with stars, leaving her in a dazed state that was only really capable of a single, frazzled through: return fire.

So, that was what Valley did, albeit in a haphazard way - she swung her arm with a wild, open-handed slap to the face.

It might have been wishful thinking to believe this may have been true, but by now D.B. was earnestly expecting Valley to have finally gotten the message by now to not do anything to royally tick her off anymore. Something she would have thought that to be a universal truth in this federation that everyone was already acutely aware of by now...but than the cold truth of the matter came from out of nowhere, from Valley's right-hand and to a high-pitched thwack.

"..." Slight spittle sent flying from her mouth as D.B. twisted her head to the side but remained steadfast and upright, all to the stunned gasps of a majority of the bystanders. The Avatar Of Death spine-chillingly swiveling her head back to the offending Valley Girl with a snarling, guttural growl before Death would retaliate appropriately via a wound back, jaw-popping uppercut from a woman whose been infamous for scoring one-hit kayos against woman who now regret ever engaging in fisticuffs with her.

No, slapping Death Bunny hadn’t been the best of ideas, but it hadn’t even really been Valley’s idea. It was just a random reflex she had after having her clocked so thoroughly cleaned by this woman, lashing out with the first thing that came to mind. She let her body make the selection, and that was what it settled on.

Somehow, though, she doubted Death Bunny would see it that way.

The punch she received confirmed those doubts.

While she was a striker, Valley had never been the best at taking punches, and the one Death Bunny delivered was Grade-A, crashing hard into her jaw and spinning about on teetering feet. Wibbly and wobbly, it looked for all the world like she was about to fall on her butt.

And she did, too. But not before she flipped back, sent her leg up and over, and attempted to hit Death Bunny in the face with her signature Pele Kick.
