Belinda Northman Vs. Katori Kimura

It hadn't been too long since Belinda met Katori Kimura. The two had shared a few minutes in the old rundown Wrestle Angel building where Katori was apparently spending her days training. It seemed as if the two of them sorta hit it off, back when they met Belinda was going through a bit of a slump though. Now however, she was back in peak condition, better than ever in fact. Things had been running for the most part incredibly smoothly for her. She'd picked up wins against big names and practically cemented herself in the upper echelon of the mid-card wrestlers of AFW.

Standing amongst people like Jessica Wright, Julia Rogers and Alaina Sanders. By no means did Belinda think she was better than any of them, but she did feel she was on par with the mighty women, and many seemed to agree with her. She was without a doubt a rising star in the league and it was starting to be difficult to for doubters to say she was just riding off of Cecilia's success...while her older sister was now the champion, the main champion with the big shiny golden belt. Belinda wouldn't be deterred, in fact it made her even more eager to keep going up, climbing that ladder of success! Looking to make her way as close to the top if not to the top as soon as she could!

It wasn't long before the Swede's theme started to play out of the speakers. The crowd already knew the drill as they started to cheer for the blond cutie. When the music hit Belinda stepped out onto the ramp with her hood pulled over her head. Running down the ramp at full speed she dove into the ring in mid run through the bottom and middle ropes and in a smooth motion rolled up onto one knee and ran up towards the far off corner. Going up onto the top ropes she would stretch out her arms into the air as a surge of cheers thundered around the Shooting Star.

Then Belinda turned around and jumped down, leaning back against the corner with her hood still up. Awaiting her opponent for the night, wanting to see what the mighty Successor had to offer.

To say that Katori was excited for tonight would be an understatement, as she was getting her first major match up for tonight and it was against Belinda Northman! What started as a surprise visit sparked into a friendship and rivalry when the Swede followed the angel to her hideout in the old WA building where she goes frequently the train in private. It was most definitely an unexpected turn of events, but it was still a good one for Katori to have been able to make a good friend and rival at once, and being able to face her tonight.

Before and during Belinda's entrance, Katori was already ready herself. She took deep breaths while doing last minute stretches to warm her body up while in the locker room, waiting for her time to enter the arena to begin the two girls' long awaited match! And one thing's for sure, win or lose, after today the Mighty Successor of Wrestle Angels will have taken her first stepping stone in rising in the ranks of AFW. But of course, Katori aimed to win this no matter what!

It wasn't long until the Angel's own song started, with Katori entering the arena on cue with it as the crowd cheers her on to welcome her. From the stage Katori waves happily to the audience, standing there for a while before focusing her sights on Belinda in the ring. She smiled at her with a friendly but competitive smirk as she raises her hand up to point directly at Belinda, silently issuing her challenge to the Swede with this expression as she smiles wider before walking down the ramp to the ring, never taking her eyes off her opponent nor dropping her smile as she went.

Even as she climbed up the apron, even as she slipped between the ropes to enter the ring, Katori's eye contact never left Belinda. Only when she walked to her own corner did she finally broke eye contact as she partially stepped up onto the Turnbuckle, raising a fist high up which erupts more cheers for the Angel.

After all that was done, Katori took another deep breath and hopped back down then turned to face Belinda again with that same friendly smirk as before, only wider. Which clearly shows that she has been really looking forward to this, without the need to express it with words.

Belinda still had her hood over her head as she looked on at Katori who just started to make her way down towards the ring. The Swede would keep her eyes on Katori as the mighty successor made her way into the ring and did her little routine before she settled down in the corner. 

The young Swede would start to move out of the corner and walk up towards the center of the ring, pulling her hood down as she would smile at Katori. " Looks like we finally get to square off huh? Don't think I'll go easy on you though, I'm planning on bringing it tonight." Belinda let out with a friendly smirk towards her friend. 

The ref-girl would then turn and gesture for the bell to ring, there was no need to wait, just let these girl's get it on. The bell rang loudly and the match would then be underway. 

Belinda would drop down into her wrestling stance, narrowing her eyes as she would start to try and circle Katori, looking to see if she could get a chance to move in an initiate a lock-up.

As the two women stared each other down from their corners, it seemed as the tension and excitement was building between them. Katori moved from her corner right after Belinda did to meet her at the ring's center, looking up at the Swede with that same friendly smirk right back at her. "I wouldn't have it any other way, I'd rather go all out in a match then hold back." Katori says as she smirked wider and then gave her friend, now opponent, a wink for good measure.

The gong to start the match rang real quick, probably the quickest in any of the matches Katori ever had, which was fine as she wanted to get right to it anyway! The angel got into her own stance, but unlike Belinda, she stood in place but kept her eyes on her opponent while keeping up her guard.

Katori would watch her opponent, wait on the defensive while she did. She would then raise a hand out to Belinda with her palm open, inviting her to partake in a Test of Strength. For a highly anticipated match like this for both of the wrestlers, it would be best to start it off right.

Belinda only circled Katori for a short while, when she saw that Katori was standing fast...the Swede would do the same. Seeing those hands move up with open palms in the air, Belinda would narrow her eyes and look on at the blue haired girl. 

Finally she would take a step closer...then another and another, raising her arms up into the air she would try and clasp her hands together with Katori and entwine her fingers with the blue haired girl. Keeping their eyes locked together....

That smirk still covering her face as she would try to start and test the waters, putting a bit of pressure against Katori to see if she could try and force the fellow wrestler down onto her knees.

Katori waited to see if Belinda would accept her offer to start off with a grapple for a Test of Strength, seeing that she stopped circling the angel and stood a short distance from her. Her eyes still never left her opponent's, her one hand held up still as she waited once Belinda started moving closer to Katori, making no sudden moves to discourage her.

Once Belinda finally raised her own hands, showing she accepts the challenge, Katori's smirk widens as she brings up her other hand to clamp them both with the Swede's. Right away, Katori pushes with all she had as Belinda did the same.

She can already tell how strong her new rival is from how this feels, they are almost evened out. Slowly but surely, Katori was being pushed back and down by Belinda's strength. The angel wasn't gonna go down easy though, as she moves a leg further back and braces her legs against the mat to try and prevent herself from being pushed while attempting to put more effort to resisting Belinda.

Belinda and Katori had soon enough locked up in the tight test of strength, fingers laced together like a tight stitching and now it was on. The match hand now started for real and it was time for the blond to show Katori just what she was capable of. She would tighten her hands around the woman's hands.

She felt how she was slowly pushing the green clad wrestler backwards little by little but soon enough she felt how Katori put the brakes on and then started to try and force the blond backwards...the Swede held her ground though, gritting her teeth a bit as she would glare into Katori's eyes.

After a second or two, the blond would try and crank up her efforts to eleven and attempt to push her new rival back further, trying to force her back towards the corner!

With all that she had, Katori was able to anchor herself in place to prevent Belinda from pushing her further. She wanted to show her new rival what she had, to prove she was not just worthy to stand in the ring with her but to also prove her worth as a strong rival to the beautiful Swede.

As their hands tighten together, it was clear to the angel that this was already get more intense. Then Katori felt her opponent ramping it up a bit, putting more strength into pushing the blunette as she managed to make her slowly budge back again. Katori did her best to keep her legs braced so she'd stay in place, but she was still being pushed back to her corner.

She might be in trouble, but the Mighty Successor couldn't help but grin widely in excitement this feeling gave her. "Well, I might be in trouble here." Katori said to herself in amusement, as she then came up with a plan. She would try and spread her and Belinda's arms out wide to try and distract her with this while still doing her best to push back against the Swede and possibly follow up with something.

Belinda smirked back at Katori as she felt the blue haired girl push against her in their little lock up, seeing who was the strongest was something that the crowd did very soon. Belinda heard those words of Katori as she would simply nod her head a bit. " Yeah, looks like." The Swede let out as she kept pushing against her new rival and friend.

Though Katori soon pulled her arms apart and made their fronts crash into one another, the surprise managed to force Belinda to stagger back a step as Katori pushed against her. The Swede managed to brace herself against the mat though and stop from being pushed back any further.

" N-now you're gonna pay." Belinda said in a friendly tone as she would go into full gear. Trying to go full force and push and shove Katori back towards the corner.

Katori's eyes widen when her attempt to take Belinda's attention away was met with the weird reaction of their chest colliding and the blonde staggering back, and while this did surprise her, the angel still took advantage to push her opponent back a bit. It didn't last long though, and after managing a bit of distance, Belinda got herself back in gear and pushed Katori back yet again.

There were no other ideas, maneuvers, or tactics Katori could think of right now, she just braced herself to slow down the push while pushing back as well, at least to put effort into this to show her worth.

It didn't take long though, as Belinda managed to completely push the Mighty Successor back and pinned into her corner. Katori was now in a bad position, but she couldn't help but grin wider competitively after all they did at the start of this match. "Yep, I'm definitely in trouble here." She said while looking Belinda in the eye, still grinning as she awaits to see what her opponent as in store for her as there isn't anything she could do right now like this.
