Peggy McIntyre vs. Lita

Peggy was still trying to recover when the big lariat connected! She was sent down to the mat hard, her impact echoing throughout the arena! She groaned and cradled her head, rolling to her side as she was clearly in a lot of pain!

The sound of the impact from the lariat finding its mark caused Lina’s eyes to go wide. That didn’t sound like something she, or anyone for that matter, would want to be on the receiving end of. She called at Lita to pin her, thinking that would be enough to beat Alaina. Lita had the same thought, though seeing how Alaina rolled to a side after landing Lita had a feeling Peggy might kick out of a pin if she went for one.

With that thought in mind Lita decided to stay on the offensive. Lifting up Peggy she set her up for what looked like to be a vertical suplex. However instead of simply looking to lift her up and over, Lita brought Peggy down, springing her off the upper rope and bringing her back down to earth with a little twist, going for a slingshot spinning brainbuster.

Peggy's head was still spinning after the impact so She was aware of being picked up again, but didn't fully know what was going on. She felt her body fall and hit the ropes, bouncing back up.

A sudden fall led to her head feeling a giant impact and exploding pain! Peggy laid on the ground howling in agony as she kicked the mat rapidly while her arms cradled her head.

After connecting with two huge moves, ones that targeted the opposition's head, Lita felt the momentum was going her way. She stood up following the latest move feeling pretty pumped. She felt like she could end this, as did Lina. The live crowd could sense it too as they got behind her. She gestured towards one of the corners as she headed in that direction, with the people liking where Lita might be going with this. She looked over at Peggy before climbing to the top rope, having something in mind. Sizing Peggy up, Lita knew exactly what she wanted to do. The last two moves appeared to have done a number on Peggy up high, and that's how Lita wanted to finish this.

Channeling the mood she was in with the support from her fans she eagerly waited for Peggy to get back to her feet, preparing to put all she has into one more attack, looking to put Peggy down once more, and keep her there. If Peggy was able to get back to her feet after that Lita would wait until Peggy's done so before leaping off the top, looking to come down upon the top of Peggy with full force behind a double axe handle.

Peggy was hurt, and heard the crowd cheering louder. That didn't bode well since she was just laying there like a beached whale. She kicked the mat a couple more times and rubbed her head, slowly making her way up to her feet. She moaned as she stood and realized she didn't have a line of sight on Lita. Not good.

Peggy looked up to see Lita jumping up and flying right at her. Peggy stood her ground, sort of. She readied herself and in a desperate bid swung her leg up, trying to plant the descending Lita with a super kick right to the jaw! That sort of counter would hopefully level Lita and leave her as bad off as Peggy felt now! It was sure better than her head taking another nasty hit...

Coming in towards Peggy, Lita was on target. Her form looked good, there was one problem though, Peggy managed to find just enough time to get her leg up, and inside of taking Peggy’s head off, Lita took the foot square to the face. Not expecting that to come her way with how she was moving, it felt harder than if she was standing right in front of the person and not only daring them to do it but expect it.

On the outside the ring Lina gasped and covered her mouth before going silent. Lita looked like she would be an easy pin as she was laying in front of Peggy, looking like she became deadweight from flying into Peggy’s foot.

Peggy groaned as Lita went down, still in a great deal of pain herself. Peggy fell on top of Lita and wrapped her arm around one of Lita's legs to hook it and go for a pin!

"ONE!"

Peggy gasped and blinked as her vision was still fuzzy. She didn't want to be known as the wrestler who blew it last second in her matches. She had already done that enough in her career. Her mission to prove to Japan that McIntyre women weren't jobbers had mixed success. This was going to be a turning point, or so Peggy hoped.

"TWO!"

As the referee counted, Lina's expression of shock from the initial reaction to Lita getting unexpectedly kicked in the face was beginning to fade. She did still feel it however as the count was being made, and as the referee made the three count Lina was still surprised at what happened, but was able to tell what just happened as result of it. Upon hearing the bell she leand against the side of the ring and lowered her head into her arms, resting them on the apron. "For fuck sakes." That superkick counter out of nowhere did Lita in, and she was making good strides on mounting a comeback late in the bout...until the foot came up like that. It wasn't something she wanted to see, but nothing could be done about it now.

She held her head placement for a bit longer, wanting to avoid raging out in the open. When she felt she could control herself she lifted her head up. Noticing Lita was still down she slide in the ring and went next to her. Going down in close she lightly shook Lita's shoulder before tapping her face, trying to get a response out of her. After a few seconds or so Lita began blinking slowly. Groaning she asked "What the fuck just hit me?"

"THREE!"

Peggy let go of Lita's leg and hobbled up as the referee raised her arm. The ringing of the bell was music to Peggy. She didn't blow it yet again in a match. She hung on, she managed to win. This felt great! She was all smiles as she strut around the ring for a few moments, then made her way towards the ropes to climb through and start on her way up the ramp.

She was something of an underdog in this match, but she managed to come out on top. Still grinning to a mixed crowd reaction, she began her walk up the ramp.
