Peggy McIntyre vs. Lita

Peggy was sitting facing away from the ring and heard Lita fall. Peggy tried to grab the ropes and maneuver herself around so she was perched on top and now facing the ring.

As Lita got up Peggy jumped up and at Lita, extending her legs as she tried to hemmer Lita right on the chest with a missile dropkick from the top rope!

Not long after Lita was standing back up, Peggy came right at her with the dropkick. She didn't have time to move out of the way and took it, causing her to fall back and flip over, landing on her chest. Lina looked a bit surprised with seeing the impact causing Lita to land like that instead of it just simply taking her straight down. Regardless, Lita wasn't in a position Lina liked, and Lina encouraged her to get back up, which was easier said than done after taking a move like that.

Peggy felt the dropkick connect and knew it was a solid hit. Lita tumbling over was just the icing on the cake for Peggy. She made her way over to Lita and knew this was her chance to really take the fight to Lita. She grit her teeth and grabbed hold of Lita, pulling her up to her feet.

Peggy wrapped an arm around Lita's head, then hooked a leg trying to lift Lita into the air to deliver a fisherman suplex.

Lina saw how Peggy held Lita before lifting her up for the next move Peggy had in mind. She had a feeling on what was coming, as the leg hook in that manner was an indication to a fisherman suplex with a pin being leg in upon impact. As the move landed Lina was about to call out to Lita, but she barely got half a word out as she stopped out of surprise, seeing Peggy not option to hold on afterwards. While that was a possible outcome it didn’t come across Lina’s mind as she’s seen the former of the two happen from her research. Regardless though she knew Lita wasn’t in a position that was worth staying for long if it could help helped.

“Get up girl!” Lina called out to Lita, hearing a small groan come from Lita as she laid there momentarily, trying to regain her senses.

Peggy let go because she felt like more had to be done to out Lita away. She had momwntum but wanted to pile it on while she could. Peggy got up and saw Lita still out of it. She dashed to the ropes and jumped up on the middle rope bouncing off and flipping in the air, trying to come crashing down on Lita with a springboard lionsault!

If this landed, Peggy would then stay right on top and go for a pin.

Just as Lita regained feeling and felt like she could attempt to move she felt Peggy landing across her chest unexpectedly. With a groaning tone she le tout of a soft “God you’re heavy” as the referee moved into position to make the count. Peggy managed to get a solid count of two before Lita managed to throw a shoulder up to stop the count.

Peggy glared at Lita as she kicked out and threw a little verbal jab at Peggy. Peggy got up and stomped down on Lita twice before yanking her up by the hair. Peggy saw that Lita was hurting despite her bravado.

It was time to set up the kill. Peggy threw Lita into the corner and had to soften her up, trying to land a series of mid-section kicks to further weaken Lita.

Lina looked concerned as Lita was moved to the corner following her getting out of the pin. She wasn’t liking she was seeing, knowing it’s better if the two’s position in the corner was reversed. Lina attempts to get Lita’s attention while Peggy’s laying the boots on Lita in the corner. “Come on Lita fight back!”

It was obvious Lita wasn’t enjoying the feeling from Peggy’s strikes, but she knew she shouldn’t lay back and take it. Following one of Peggy’s kicks she threw her palm forward, hoping to catch Peggy on the chin in hopes of making a potential comeback.

Peggy was in a groove, and so focused on taking that fight to Lita that the strike to her jaw caught her totally off guard. She groaned and staggered back, rubbing her jaw as she blinked her eyes, hoping to get them back in focus. If Lita was looking for an opening she had managed to create one.

Seeing Lita still have fight in her was a welcomed sight for Lina. Lina knew that Lita wasn't in the clear just yet, as did Lita. Peggy got Lita to this point so Lita knew she couldn't stand idly and waste time. Seeing Peggy back away from her due to the palm stike, Lita looked to shorten the gap between them with some speed behind her, looking to connect with a lariat. If she felt she had more time she could have given it some thought on what to do to mount a comeback, but she knew time wasn't on her side at the moment so she went with what came to mind first.

From what Lina could see, Lita was making a move, and at the very least it looked like something that could take advantage of the opening. Whether it paid off or not remained to be seen.
