Peggy McIntyre vs. Lita

Peggy was determined to snap out of her slump one way or another. She picked up a win recently bit that was because her opponent had her beat, got bored and left the ring. It was insulting, embarrassing, and a confidence killer for the 20 year old Peggy.

Now she was again the underdog in a match. Even if she was destined to lose she was going to go down swinging regardless of who this lady was.

Peggy made her way to the ring all business. She jumped up onto the apron and then jumped over the ropes to enter the ring. The curvy lass was going to pull out all the stops tonight. Her losing ways ended here and now.

Things sure were picking up schedule wise for the group known as WhiteGale. Daisuke and Sion had a major title defense of their tag team championship against a couple of soon. It's been a while Lita had some competition, in addition to her helping the group's manager Lina with a few things, and that was about to change for her soon. The last person who faced her pulled off a win due some underhanded trickery with aid from a friend. Not long ago she had a bout lined up, however the opposition bailed so it meant yet a longer wait to attempt to get rid of the taste the bat wielding brat left her, but thought of someone dodging her didn't help matters either. When she heard that Lina found something for her she was glad to finally get a chance to get back in there, and Lina was confident that said opponent would show up.

Most of the time when a match involved someone in the group Lita lead, their manager Lina wouldn't be too far behind. When they got to the ring Lita stepped inside before climbing the corner to pose for the crowd as Lina joined her on the inside. As she did this the lights would dim. Lina gave Lita a slight nod and Lita held her arms up as if she was striking some battle-like pose and some pyro went off to make it look like she shot some lightning effects from the ceiling. Afterwords she would remaining up there for a couple a few seconds, moving her hair back and waiting for the lights to fade back on before hopping down. So she felt like giving the fans something flashy to observe before getting down to business. She wasn't trying to seem like a bigger deal to her opponent and come off as a showoff, but if hopefully Peggy could tell she at least meant business when she saw Lita enter the ring.

Before coming out Lita knew about what happened the last time Peggy was out here. Kelly was someone she knew well. Not as well as say her son Sion, or even Alaina, but they do know each other on a first-named basis. There was no need for Lita nor Lina to bring it up here, though she knew Peggy wanted to have things go better for her this time around. After Lina left the ring Lita turned towards Peggy. "Alright, let's do this."

Peggy watched as Lita came down and was so focused on her that she barely acknowledged Lina at all. Peggy just nodded at Lita and circled as the bell rang, not really knowing much at all about her foe. Peggy was going to test things out the way she knew best by lunging in and engaging in a grapple. Peggy's technical skills and grappling were very good so she wagered that she could work her way around Lita in a grapple. After getting a taste of how strong Lita was Peggy would try to grab onto one of Lita's arms and start off the match with an arm drag to her foe!

Lina’s thoughts on Peggy in the opening seconds following the bell were that Peggy was smarter than many on the roster who would simply rush in at the sound of the bell and have their recklessness be countered easily. Of course there is more to an opponent than how they start off, but sometimes it can be good information on what to possibly expect down the road. Lita was one of the strongest people so she liked Lita’s chances when Peggy locked up.

Peggy managed to take Lita down with the arm drag as a Lita was trying to get a good feel for Peggy, but Peggy managed to go with something before Lita could. However not long after hitting the canvas Lita would look to quickly respond with a spinning leg sweep.

Peggy sent Lita to the mat and got up, ready to make her way over and punish Lita even more. Unfortunately Lita had other plans.

Peggy walked right into the leg sweep, falling onto her back! Peggy groaned and rolled over, trying to make ot back up to her feet.

Even though things didn’t start off on a positive note as Peggy struck first, it wasn’t the end of the world Lina knew as she saw the opening moments unfold. Plus Lita was still alert despite being taken down with the arm drag, which her reflexes showed as Lita managed to recover by using her legs to take Peggy’s out from under her. Lina tried to contain her approval for the time being as it was still early to get all worked up, but she liked what she saw so far.

Lita tried not to think about it much, but if the opening seconds were any indication this could be a close one. As Peggy got back to her feet so did Lita, and Lita already had something going through her head. She would reach out to grab Peggy and move her back towards the ropes. If she managed to do that she would proceed to whip her off them. Depending how Peggy came off the ropes would determine if what Lita had in mind would be pulled off or have the opposite effect. She was hoping Peggy would come off the ropes and when she got close Lita would leap frog over her and execute a dropkick on the bounce back if the timing worked out.

Peggy was whipped to the ropes, and did all she could to pick up as much speed as she could! She bounced off, eyeing Lita as she closed in. She had built up quite a bit of momentum and went to shoulder block the woman down to the mat. However, Lita had different ideas. Peggy grit her teeth as Lita leapfrogged her, and Peggy bounced off the ropes again. Peggy thought about drop kicking Lita, but the tall woman beat her to the punch!

Peggy groaned as the dropkick sent her to the mat hard, with her rolling to her side and cradling her chest where the dropkick made impact.

Lina was about to say something to Lita after seeing the dropkick connect following the use of the ropes, but didn't as she saw Lita already on the move. Lita saw Peggy's reaction from the dropkick and stayed close, but allowed her to get back up to her feet. Lita kept her feet moving as she wanted to behind Peggy should she decide to get vertical again rather than stay down.

If Lita managed to maintain her intended positioning she would deliver a swift kick to the back of Peggy before setting her up for a saito suplex.

Peggy worked her way up and felt a sharp kick land against her back forcing her to stumble a bit. "Ngh! Damn it ya.... Argh!" Peggy groaned and screamed as she was brought crashing down with the santo suplex! She cried out in pain, arching her back after the thunderous impact.

Peggy was not at all in a good spot, and she knew it. However after that suplex she was not in any position to try to make things better as Lita had firm control of the momentum of the match.

With the sound of the impact Peggy made after being taken back down by the suplex, Lita decided to turn over and went for a cover and maybe get an early pin out of it. Lina saw Lita going for it, which she wasn't sure if that would be enough to keep Peggy down for a three count, however with the way Lita took her down Lina saw no harm in the brunette give it a shot.
