Diana Accera vs. Megumi Momoi - Step Up

Make no mistake, charging at Diana like this was a risky move for Megumi. The beastial beauty had already proven effective at turning hasty assaults against her enemy, and just about anything that happened out here on the floor was guaranteed to do some heavy damage. As bad as the match was going for her so far, it could still get exponentially worse in a hurry if she wasn’t careful.

Lucky for her, it worked. Sort of. She had a momentary window, now she just had to make it mean something.

Megumi’s arms were hurting, but she still had two, perfectly servicable legs to work with, and she was going to get the most out of them. She took a step back after Diana fell to her knees, then hopped forward and threw a soccer-style kick right in her face, looking to put a few dents in this iron woman’s armor.

”Go down!”

Kneeling as if she was about to declare her service for the woman, Diana was in a tight spot, but one she simply could not of avoided without neglecting to chase her foe in the first place. In hindsight, she most likely should of taken a long swerve around the ring post, rather than walk directly past it, where Megumi could use the blocked vision to prepare all sorts of tricks and manoeuvres.

Her hand came up to join her other in a meek defence, as through her briefly blurred vision she saw her foe rear up, as if preparing for the final kick in a football game. The height of the Italian put her whole body in the line of fire, with her foe surely enough aiming to take the woman's head off her shoulders.

The defence could only do so much, stopping much of the sharpness of the kick; the force still pushing Diana somewhat into the side of the ring, before the Italian's hand would come to the apron, trying to pull herself up. She may have somewhat avoided the kick, but her arm paid the price, as she shook it somewhat jitteringly.

”6!” The referee called out, throwing her fingers up to hammer the point home. ”Take it back inside! Come on! 7!”

Diana had bought them some extra time when she rolled out, but now they were pushing the limits. It would probably put her back at risk, but she’d have to bring this fierce fracas back into the ring.

So she'd have to convince Diana to come along with her. In her own unique way.

”Let’s go!” Megumi reached, snagged Diana’s hair, and tried to roll her back in under the bottom rope, with her following behind a moment later.

Diana may have been caught roughly, but it would take nothing short of a knockout blow to force the woman to lose to a count out. She came to AFW to wrestle for gods sake, not lose to a clock.

Rising somewhat forcibly as her foe aided her, Diana would roll partially by her own will into the ring, using the obvious head start to rise somewhat quicker.

Obtaining somewhat of a crouching position, she'd shoot back with a impromptu elbow; her arm lost likely to connect rather than the elbow itself, as the Italian simply meant to stun her foes recovery with a hefty shove rather than a crippling assault, so she could stand without issue.

Be confident, but not too confident.

Those were Megumi’s words. She’d said them many a time when she was sitting at the commentator’s table, watching as wrestlers time and again found themselves stumbling into the most obvious traps. Things could get hectic, and the ladies sometimes lost their heads.

Now, Megumi was in the opposite position. She was huffing, she was in a hurry, and her own advice was the last thing in her mind. More’s the pity.

She rolled into the ring, eager to press her limited advantage, when an elbow in the face threw that idea away. It wasn’t the most damaging attack she’d taken - certainly not from Diana - but it left Megumi reeling on her knees for a second, shaking her head as she tried to clear her head.

Wisely opting for a simple creation of space rather than pushing for the attack when she simply didn't have the base for it, Diana's shove would leave her foe back on her knees, giving the Italian more than enough space to steady herself. Gripping her fist, readying her body for the follow-up, she'd soon shoot forward, once again trying to re-affirm control of the match.

Pushing forward, somewhat crouched to compensate for her opponents lower stance, Diana's hands would aim to latch onto her foes shoulders. If she did so without issue, she'd suddenly throw her legs forward, as if going for a double knee. Only as her base would shoot forward, her top half would pull back; attempting to pull Megumi onto the knees themselves, in an impromptu version of a gutbuster!

As a commentator, Megumi’s knowledge of wrestling moves bordered on encyclopedic. Despite that, though, she couldn't think of the name for the impromptu move Diana used on her. Some kind of gutbuster? A modified Codebreaker?

Didn't really matter, either way. It hurt, that was the important thing.

Megumi let out a pain, wheezing gasp as the air was forced out of her lungs in the roughest way possible. She rolled on her back and cradled her stomach, while a look of anguish tainted her features. The pain wasn’t the only cause of it, either - she’d been back in control, just for a brief second, only to have that joy snatched away from her.

If she’d been back at the table, she’d be applauding Diana’s tenacity and cunning. On the receiving end, she was much less appreciative.

The issue with the gutbuster/codebreaker variant that Diana just used, is that it was somewhat lacking in power. Had Megumi being standing, or god forbid somewhat leaping into the manoeuvre, Diana was somewhat confident it would of had severe match affecting results.

That being said, Diana's firm legs and sharp knees forcing themselves, or more forcing Megumi onto them, would never have resulted in a less than achy experience for Megumi. Flat on her back, Diana could at least take solace in the fact the move was pulled off somewhat without issue. She'd soon begin to rise, hand rubbing the side of her chest that had taken the earlier strike from the woman.

Stepping close to Megumi's side, in an attempt to briefly slow the pace of the match but by no means give Megumi chance to breath, the Italian would suddenly drop, directly down, onto her laying foe. Elbow extended, she'd simply opt to use her somewhat hefty figure to try and force a sharp strike into the woman's gut.

”Megumi?” There was a voice nearby, too close for a fan. The referee, who was wisely keeping a safe distance from the carnage. What was her name, again? Megumi had seen her in catering a few times, never got to speak with her much. Hitomi? Hiroku?

”Megumi, are you still able to go?”

Despite them barely knowing each other, there was stll a lot of concern in the referee's voice. That was a good question, and she was just about to answer it, when Diana interrupted her in her own unique way - violence.

Diana’s elbow sliced into Megumi’s stomach, and even though she had a fair amount of muscles down there to protect form such an assault, it wasn’t quite enough to dampen the blow. Megumi rolled to her knees and grasped her stomach, slowly crawling toward the center of the ring, mostly on reflex.

With the elbow connecting near enough dead on, Diana would use firm base of Megumi's somewhat redder stomach to push herself off, rolling quickly into a kneeling position, back to her foe. Taking a knee, she'd consider her next strategem; sure, she had effectively regained control of the toned woman, but even nigh-dominating a figure that firm would take it's toll on you.

Standing, her back hand would come up to her forehead, wiping a bead of sweat that had started to build. Looking at her now somewhat damped fist, she was actually somewhat beginning to doubt herself; the match was all Diana's, but where her moves actually building up to a win? Was Megumi the sort that could be hit by a tank and come out swinging?

She'd turn, slowly pacing towards her foe as she obtained a kneeling position, hand to her gut. Diana was by no means the trash talker, but she wasn't above opening her mouth occasionally, especially when a foe 'deserved' it. And the fact that Megumi just kept getting back up deemed her 'worthy.'

"Maybe this was a day you'd prefer the commentators chair, huh?"
