Re: Diana Accera vs. Megumi Momoi - Step Up
Had to get up. Had to keep fighting. Had to push on.
No matter how much training Megumi did, there was no real way to prepare for the shock of having her head slammed into the mat like that. Especially from someone with that much power and weight at her disposal. But she could recuperate, and she was well on her way to doing that when Diana decided to press her advantage.
She hadn’t seen the blow coming, but Megumi sure as hell heard it. The blow slammed against her skin and sent out a deafening crack throughout the arena, making the audience wince and recoil. It was every bit as painful as it looked, too.
[color=#cc0000]”Gah!” Megumi arched her back and flopped forward, trying her best to cope with the heavy impact. Still trying to rise, she grabbed the ropes and used them for support, refusing to let Diana keep her down for too long.

Re: Diana Accera vs. Megumi Momoi - Step Up
So far, the match had been mostly Diana. But still, the Italian approached with wary intent, and likely always would. Even if the fight was on it's last legs and Diana had been in complete control, her style of wrestling would stay the same; careful. Even when the kick connected cleanly, the sound of skin on skin echoing out into the arena, Diana was ready to hop back with somewhat cat-like reflexes if Megumi tried a immediate response.
Surely enough, said response never came, as her foe was simply pushed forward more so towards the ropes, which she promptly began to climb somewhat. Taking a breath, it seemed Megumi was in a bad spot. Time to try and make it worse.
Raising her hands somewhat over upwards, she'd approach her foe, again wary that a sudden turn around jab or elbow might come her way. If she approached her foe without conflict, she'd aim to tilt her body, wrapping her arms around the gut of her foe at a somewhat diagonal angle.
If all went well and good, with a heave of great strength, the Italian would suddenly partially straighten up, lifting Megumi ever so slightly off the floor, body sideways. With a heave that could be heard in the back rows, the Italian would then aim to pull her foe up and over, in a textbook gut-wrench suplex!

Re: Diana Accera vs. Megumi Momoi - Step Up
Megumi made it to the ropes and started to pull her way up, thankful for even this short reprieve. She was sure that there was a way to start turning this back around and wrest control of the match from Diana’s some sort of counter she could’ve used to swing the momentum, but she’d be damned if any ideas were coming to her.
She knew she was in trouble when she felt Diana’s powerful arms wrapping around her waist. Knew it - but Megumi was panicking. She was too rushed. She knew ways to get out of this, but none of them were coming fast enough to qualify as a reflex. She grabbed the ropes and tried to hold onto them, use them as an anchor, but that only slowed her momentum a tiny bit. She was going over, no way around the fact, and it was going to suck.
Diana’s gutwrench suplex made Megumi’s gutwrench as she was hauled up and over, handled with relative ease. She hit the mat with far more impact than it was used to it, and ther result was a sonorous crash that rang out through the arena, followed by Megumi slumping over to her chest while she reeled from the blow.
It was just thing after another with this woman. Diana was relentless...

Re: Diana Accera vs. Megumi Momoi - Step Up
Applying the somewhat aptly named manoeuvre, performing a heave ho with the girl cleanly over her head, the Italian would rise somewhat briskly. Hand to her own gut, taking a breath, she'd raise her free hand, shaking her upper body from the manoeuvre. The gutwrench was most likely one of the most effective forms of suplex in wrestling; it's almost completely random landing point providing the victim with next to no chance to brace. That being said, the gutwrench was a complete dead lifting move, and Megumi was no light target.
With her foe front down to the mat, Diana would step forward, eager as ever to continue her slow, methodical assault.
Bringing a leg either side of her foe, she'd aim to somewhat slowly but surely plod her rear on her foes lower back. Reaching forward for her foes arms, if bets were being taken, the favourable odds would of been on the Italian looking to apply a textbook camel clutch...
...Only if she'd manage to grapple her foes arms without issue, she'd suddenly pick up the pace; bringing one leg over, she'd slide somewhat to a lying position, side over the back of Megumi's back. With arms still locked and the ruse of going for a camel clutch made, Diana would modify her grip, aiming for a surprising double chicken-wing hold!

Re: Diana Accera vs. Megumi Momoi - Step Up
Weird as it may have seemed, Megumi had some hope when she saw Diana’s imposing shadow looming over her prone body. If there was one thing she’d learned from her time as a commentator, it was that AFW wrestlers loved using the camel clutch. It was rare for her to go a single night without seeing the move, and more often it happened once in every other match.
The move was no fun, but it was one she was used to taking. Even delivered by a beast like Diana, this was a storm she was prepared to weather.
So, understandably, she was a bit dismayed when Diana didn’t do that, and instead went for something a bit more complex, far rarer, and a good deal more painful.
”What-” Was all Megumi had time blurt out before her limbs were suddenly wrenched in the tight double chickwing hold. Not a common sight, and for no good reason - the hold was damned effective. All Megumi could do was thrash around, waiting for Diana to get tired of nearly pulling her arms out of their socket. Not likely to happen soon.

Re: Diana Accera vs. Megumi Momoi - Step Up
Diana's intention was both to apply a more specific, painful hold to her foe and to of course catch her off guard. A camel clutch on it's own was difficult enough to wiggle out of when applied by a woman with enough force. But a rapid transition upon immediately locking it?
Make no mistake, Diana would try to bend her foe with such force that her back was arching in fashion similar to a camel clutch, but all pain was of course being directed through her foes arms. The Italian would lock her fingers tightly together, choosing a extended, moderate hold over one with brief rest periods and brief periods of absolute agony. Diana was in it for the marathon, not a sprint.
Sooner enough though, the Italian would release, quickly rolling off and leaving her foe with somewhat stiff arms. Sure, there was no chance that she'd broken something; but that was never the intention. Ideally, her foe would be left with somewhat aching arms right up until the bell was rung to declare the winner. Maybe even aching long after that.

Re: Diana Accera vs. Megumi Momoi - Step Up
Megumi was thinking that this was the pits, that her situation couldn’t have possibly gotten any worse than it had been at this point in the match, but she was quickly learning how wrong she was. Diana wasn’t just a beast, it seemed, but an intelligent beast, and she was strategically focusing on Megumi’s greatest weapons: Her arms.
They weren’t broken, but they were far closer to it than was likely healthy for her chances of winning a match. Lifting would be hard - maybe not impossible, but more difficult than she would’ve like, especially in a match like this were advantages were hard to come by. She needed a breather. Megumi hated to admit it, but that fact was staring her hard in the face.
Gripping her arms and tucking tight, she made a ‘tactical retreat’, rolling out under the ring and onto the floor, stumbling back against the barricade while nursed her body. It wasn’t the most popular move, gaining some cheers from fans egging her on and boos from those who wanted her to get back in and stick it out. She didn’t much care either way - she needed the rest. Just for a few moments.

Re: Diana Accera vs. Megumi Momoi - Step Up
Diana, for the first time in the match, had assumed somewhat of a relaxed pose, her arms at her side rather than in typical fighter pose. She didn't presume her foe done, but damn well knew those arms would at least be useless for a good few seconds, considering the somewhat brutal crank the Italian was applying.
Surely enough, her foe decided that fighting the somewhat ruthless Italian head on was gaining no ground, opting for a breather. Diana didn't at all look down on her foe; hell, if she were in the position, she'd of done the exact same. She'd even give her foe a brief moment uninterrupted, hands simply to her hips as if patiently waiting.
Soon after though, after the referee had already begun to somewhat dip into the count-out of her foe, Diana would slowly make her way to the ropes to her side, notably not the ropes her foe was resting just outside of. Sliding somewhat slowly under, she'd begin to pace around the corner, approaching her foe once more with violent intent, the count-out of course reset.

Re: Diana Accera vs. Megumi Momoi - Step Up
”4!”
The referee and the audience counted in unison as Megumi took a breather on the barrier, leaning against it while she took the time to recoup. Much to her relief, it didn’t seem like Diana was pressing the advantage, but she could hardly take much comfort in that. Why would she be in a hurry? She hadn’t even taken any real offense yet, and Megumi was running on empty.
”5!”
The respite wasn’t going to last forever, though - even if Megumi was the type to want a countout, she knew someone with fire like Diana would never stand for it. The Italian Destroyer was coming after her, though she was doing so in the most roundabout way.
Not a bad thing. She could work with this.
When Diana came around the corner, Megumi ducked down and broke into a run, throwing her all into a mad charge. She raised her leg at the last moment and aimed the heel at Diana’s chest, going for a swift Big Boot.

Re: Diana Accera vs. Megumi Momoi - Step Up
Approaching with a slow controlled, almost signature pace, Diana's vision would be ever so briefly obscured as the turnbuckle pole would come in-between her and her foe. Surely enough, it was all Megumi needed to start her own course of vicious assaults. Regaining vision fully on her foe, the pole and ties keeping the three ring ropes up no longer obscuring, Diana would turn briefly wide eyed, as her foe aimed to literally step on the amazon.
Hands coming up, the Italian could only offer semi-effective defence, as the big woman was downed to a knee by the sheer force, after briefly stumbling back. One hand to her chest, where the assault had hit cleanly, the other would come up to the same level as the Italian's head, in a somewhat blurry attempt to repel further follow-up.
