The brief silence had Seraphim even more curious, seeing Karina thinking it over for a moment. However, soon enough the girl just shook her head, and breezed over this all like it was nothing! Seraphim had to actually double-take for a moment, blinking at Karina, like the hellish woman had actually grown a second head. But, the more she listened to her words, the more Seraphim found herself analyzing it in her mind, thinking it all over and seeing the signs not just in her words, but how she carried herself. For someone who said this was all new to her, the girl was taking it surprisingly well, proving how strong she really was about this. Seraphim kind of envied that, she was never good with sudden changes. She hit it well, in fact she still felt like tearing herself apart about her problems like the breakup with Megumi, or the threats from the Era of Hell, but she hid it well now. However, when those changes first happened… she cried for days from Megumi, and she felt like a frightened child, worried about all her friends from the Era of Hell. No one would see it, she promised herself sheâ€d keep strong in front of all her friends. But Karina… she had just been thrown into this betrayal, and was so angry before. And seeing her this calm and easygoing about it now, Seraphim found herself incredibly impressed.

Then, the girl actually thanked her, once again making Seraphim blink a few times, feeling embarrassed now as she rubbed the back of her head, giving a shy little chuckle over that. To know she was considered her first friend, and being thanked like that, it really made Seraphim feel a little better. And of course, trying to seem tough, the girl changed the subject to the food, making Seraphim realize she was seeing a bit of herself in Karina. Hiding to herself how amusing it all was, not wanting to tease her anymore now since they were resting, Seraphim went on to Karinaâ€s next question, taking a deep, slow breath at what her answer would be. It never was something she was proud of, but she trusted Karina, and didnâ€t think she needed to hide it. And so, giving a somewhat blunt reply, not aware she would have put a downer on the mood, Seraphim gave a very straitfoward reply that was very grim for the leader of White Gale, looking down at her two fists that were clenched on her lap as she did. “…When you spend your whole childhood as a street rat, and then your teenage years in a prison, you learn pretty damn quick how to tolerate, and dish out pain, even kill.”

Karina listened... And she wasn't happy with what she heard, it must've been a tough life, closing her eyelids halfly.. as if getting tired but instead she was trying to muster up her own courage to say something like that, bringing one hand up and looking at the black fingernails, she always followed a special person in her heart, someone who had thought her everything she needed to know untill that dreadful day... She looked back at Seraphim, just deep into her eyes for a moment with her own red ghastly ones, trying to stay strong.. It seems so easy yet at the same time terrible to say stuff like that, looking away quickly and spoke in a clear tone back to Seraphim. " I...I see... That sounds tough.. " Dammit! Karina kept thinking why she just couldn't say stuff like that. Wen she trailed off about the people in the Era of Hell, the people she actually enjoyed, she couldn't even say that they found them like friends and sudden, Karina got angry, punching her fist lightly onto the bed, forcing her mind to tell Seraphim something, something personal, for some reason she felt like she needed to.

" Seraphim... "

She'd say nothing afterwards, looking down at at the sheets which she gripped with her fingers, exhaling out loudly just to try and ease herself to say something. " I... I feel like I should tell you this.. Which is strange since I just me you on good terms. But something in me tells me I should.. Look.. I'm not saying my life was worse.. But my guitar is all I have from... Something. " Karina sighed heavily, bringing her hand up to her forehead and rested back against te bed, what was she thinking ust saying stuff like that? Why did it feel like she had to explain everthing to Seraphim? It felt like a weakness, something new for her, looking up at the ceiling. " Annoying.. "

Seraphim didnâ€t actually mind too much saying the truth. She knew her life was a great big ball of shit, but you know what? She got used to it. The past was the past, and now, she actually had made a few friends. Seraphim was making a name for herself, she had allies, people who cared, an organization of good people she cared about. Heck, it was starting to look like all those things she suffered for nearly two decades was starting to seem worth it! Sure, it did make her a little sad to think about it, but once she adjusted and coped, she just carried on, that smile always coming back in the end.

Hearing Karinaâ€s words at first and how she agreed it was a tough life, Seraphim just waved the back of her hand at it, like she was just pushing away a stupid, childish thought, and felt nothing of it. The past was the past, and she wanted to keep it deep and buried there, which was why she was glad the girl didnâ€t say anymore about it. But then, before she could say anything about it, Karina spoke her name, gaining Seraphimâ€s attention as her lone crimson eye fixed on her, the two meeting eyes for a few moments before it was Karina now staring at her sheets, clearly bothered by something. Concern immediately filling Seraphim, she sat there quietly, giving her full attention as she listened, wanting to hear whatever her new friend had to say. Then, she mentioned her guitar but… she seemed to trail off, just muttering how it was then annoying and tried to shake it off. She could see how troublesome it was for the girl to talk about it, and Seraphim didnâ€t want to pry at all. Heck, the two just met, so she let it be, just shaking her head a little, wishing she could offer more than just words right now. “Hey itâ€s alright, no need bring up painful things if you donâ€t wanna talk about it.” Then, Seraphim did something she knew worked for a lot of her friends, one in particular being Minerva who always got a laugh. But Seraphim then smiled, shaking away the pain she felt from it, as she gave a big, toothed, cheesy smile like she was a silly kid of some sort all of the sudden. “Besides, weâ€re about to get some free food, and we both just made a good friend, you should be all smiles! Sunshine, lollipops, and heavy metal for the win, right?” Yea, it was corny, and Seraphim knew how unfitting it looked for her to smile like that, but it always seemed to lighten the mood for some reason. Maybe it was because a smile was infectious, maybe it was the words she said, or probably more than anything, it was just because she looked so goofy with that face, but if it helped lighten the mood, sheâ€d go for it.

Karina looked up and towards Seraphim, blinking and what she said and then seeing that smile, she couldn't help it but forget about all the things that were bothering her and also couldn't help but start to giggle very softly, turning her head away quickly to hide it, one hand lifted up to rub the back of her head in embarassment and soon the distraction came. The door opened and two nurses came inside, each holding a large plate of the food Karina ordered, one walking to Seraphim to place it gently on her lap while the other was handed to Karina, along with her shiny, cleaned guitar. Karina grinned and nodded at the girl and quickly took a free and pushed it into the girl's mouth. " You earned it! Now bye! " The Nurse blinked before she turned to walk out the room with a twitch, she did eat the fry though and the other nurse soon followed her with a giggle. Karina looked at the food.. A large plate of fries, two fat cheeseburgers, freshly made and still juicy, the way she really loved them. And off course in the cupholder was the large milkshake, smiling brightly all of a sudden, taking two fries and quickly munched on them to get that tasty food in her mouth to see if she could eat it. " ..Mmmm.. Now THIS is a meal! "

Karina forgot all about her sorrow and instead started to tease Seraphim " Eat it all, Seraphim! You need to be big and strong like me some day. " She stuck out her tongue teasingly before she wasted no time to start eating swiftly, the fries first off course, wanting to save the tasty cheeseburgers as last, God knows how much she likes cheese. She took a sip from her milk shake, which was cold! immidiatly placing it back in the cup holder and brought both hands to the sides of her head, her teeth repeatedly clapping together. " N-N-N-Now that's c-c-c-c-cold! "

Did she just…? Ahahaha! No way! Seraphim could have sworn she heard the girl giggle a little bit, and boy was it funny! The soft pitch, the way she turned away in embarrassment, the whole thing as adorable, and she couldnâ€t help but find every bit of it amusing, holding back her own laugh from it. She had a feeling that her stay here for now was going to be a lot easier with Karina around, she honestly really liked and even respected the girl, but there were still so many things she wondered about her.

For now though, that was put on hold as the food arrived, and as Karina served as a quick source of entertainment by shoving a fry in a nurses mouth and sending them off, Seraphim smiled with expectations at the food. She always preferred a home cooked meal, and ate healthy, but hey, a greasy, salty meal every now and then never hurt anyone. ‘B-Besides… supposed to help your chest get bigger I heard.†Trying to find a good side to eating this, going with a stupid rumor she didnâ€t even believe, Seraphim found her eyes slowly trailing back at Karina for a moment, curiously gazing at her chest. She wondered how big hers was, the thick kimono making it hard to tell, but now getting a rough estimate.

After she was satisfied, trying to hide her wandering eye, Seraphim looked at her food, about to go for the burger when she realized something. “Ah… shit.” The second she opened her mouth wide, her jaw ached, and she was reminded of the tooth that was reset into place. She briefly looked at Karina, amused by her antics though, holding another laugh. And then, she disassembled the burger, using a fork and knife to just cut it into small pieces, almost like having a salad out of it. Sure, it was silly looking and took the point out of eating a burger, but she didnâ€t have much of a choice. “Y-You know… you order this stuff like itâ€s your entire diet.” Seraphim said with a faint sense of an almost motherly sounding concern.

" Meh.. I do eat hamburgers alot. They're tasty and I usually end up losing pounds just by fighting or training so the way I see it is they're tasty and I lose the pounds.. Or they move up to my chest.. Not sure.. " Karina brought one hand back to grope her own breast, not even bothered about Seraphim able to see her doing so, looking down under the gown, blinking a few times as she brought her hand back to her plate and mumbled. " If I find out those nurses groped or touched me while they completely undressed me and put me in this hideous gown, I'll kill'm. " Karina grumbled before taking a bite out of her burger and then another slurp of the cold milkshake, placing the plate on the desk besides her and picked up her large guitar, looking at the front of it for a while, her hand idly stroking the handle of the guitar while her other hand gently held the guitar close to her, staying silent for atleast a full minute of staring at it before she'd gently stroke her finger over one of the cords, gently going down the cord to the center of the guitar.

" ...." Karina was completely focussed onto her guitar, watching every minor detail of it before she'd close her eyelids quickly, as if shutting the guitar out from her vision and carefully placed it besides the bed, opening her eyes again so she could grab the half eaten hamburger and taking another bite from it, gently munching the meat between her teeth before she'd swallow it. " Man.. What are the odds of hospitals offering fast food delights. Ah well, still good for the stomach! "

‘Shit! I knew it!!!†When Karina admitted that she too believed all the beef and greasy foods helped her bust, Seraphim cursed like crazy in her mind for a moment, feeling like she missed out on a big secret. Seraphim had a modest size pair, barely breaking to C-cup, and she was proud of it. But it was always nice to have another inch or too. And seeing as how Karina was possibly a little bigger, she was secretly a little envious, but only ended up blushing a little when she saw Karina grope herself casually, secretly wishing that was her hand there. Of course, they were just making nice as being friends, she wasnâ€t going to jump the gun or anything. And after her breakup with Megumi, she couldnâ€t possibly think about starting a relationship so soon. But, knowing there might have been potential, Seraphim felt like she could forget about her pain in the past, bottling it up even though she knew it was bad for her.

However, those thoughts quickly faded when Karina made a death threat about being touched, knowing once again, just to not think about those kinds of things, and take her friendship slow with Karina. Hell, she was still surprised that this once raging girl was now so calm and composed, and the two were getting along so well. She had some similarities to Seraphim, but at the same time, she had just as many differences that boggled Seraphimâ€s mind and made her want to learn more. Sweatdropping a little at that comment, feeling the same way too since she knew the nurses here didnâ€t like her, Seraphim watched what the girl did next, as she picked up her guitar. The one eyed girl did find it to be an impressive piece, and it must have been extremely durable after how she swung it around so much, Seraphim even feeling how hard it was after she caught it before, stinging her palms. But, as much pride as she had in it, Karina seemed a little distant about it as she looked at the thing, Making Seraphim wonder just what was behind it all, and why she was bothered so much. Finally, even though Karina seemed to change the subject, Seraphim decided to ask, going right to the topic Karina seemed to be avoiding, sounding curious, but also a little straitfoward, like she really wanted to know. “So… how come itâ€s so important to you? The guitar I mean.” She looked at Karina with a soft expression, trying not to upset her as did. But something told Seraphim that it might have been a bad idea to ask. Still, she couldnâ€t take it back now, and finished her reasoning and question. “I mean, during our match, you were Hell-bent on no one touching it, and you demanded it from the nurse so strongly. And… it…” Damnit, she should just say it, Karina may not have known since it was in her dream, but Seraphim couldnâ€t really ignore what she heard earlier, it was driving her curiosity and concern wild. “..It sounds like you got it from your mom, but something about it made you.. mad when you played it.”

Karina grabbed her milkshake once more and brought it against her stomach, feeling it's cold temperature actually starting to sooth her warm stomach and Karina couldn't help but purr of content, it was such a nice feeling to have since her entire was warmed up from all the things that happened to her and her body just didn't seem to coold down, she was pretty sure she needed a cold shower too but she'd just have to find some time to do it without the stitches. Her entire attention was once again back at Seraphim down when she heard her question and reason to ask, her body freezing in place when immidiatly her mind was set on various things. Should she tell Seraphim, or should she not? For some reason she knew she could trust Seraphim with her information but at the same time she was doubting if she should. She always hated remembering herself about her wicked past and it always brought out the beast out of her..But for some reason where she thought about telling Seraphim, she turned sad instead but figuring that what Seraphim said about her mother made her assumptions true.. Leiko also heard her speak in her sleep and there was no way to turn back now.

Karina closed her eyes completely, knowing that her own expression went sad, she tried to hide it, alot of old memories just catching up to her at this very point Seraphim asked, trying to hide the sadness in her voice when she remembered those days... " I... .. .. " Karina seemed at a loss for words, holding the cold drink tightly against her stomach, trying to distract her own sadness into something else. " It... Was a parting gift. I don't even know why she gave it to me.. I didn't even know WHEN she died. She just.. Dissapeared on me and I was left with my little sister, who thought I had killed her, and this guitar.. This... Haunting. Cursed.. Fucking guitar... Everytime I played it, it seeed like it wanted me to become angry. Angry because my mom just.. Left me.... And t-the only p-person in my life h-hated me, a-accused me of k-k-kiling her! " Karina was trying to fight the tears that tried to form together, her voice was stuttering, she was trying to hold back her emotions she's been holding down ever since she was nine years old, she kept hearing that it was bad for someone to do so but she never cared untill now. " S-She.. never called me s-sister... .... Heh. " She looked up for a moment, a single tear came down her cheek and wiped under her eyes, whispering. " I guess.. She was right.. Someday the dream will end.. Always... Hated the fact that without love, she called me a monsters.. So I poured my love in this guitar.. No matter how much it made me mad.. It was still the only thing that accept... Well... Me.. "

Seraphim knew that her question was going to get quite a reaction from Karina. Whether it was anger, pain, or sadness was the question, and Seraphim did feel a little bad that she had to get so persona. But she really wanted to know, she worried about the girl, and couldnâ€t help her or do anything if Karina kept to herself the whole time. So, Seraphim listened, hearing the sadness even though Karina tried to hide in, and the self hatred she had filling every word. From her mother and sister, to her guitar and the loss of her family; it was a lot to swallow, and Seraphim felt her heart turn and ache from what she heard. Seraphim knew what it was like to have a painful past, but even though she didnâ€t have a family, sometimes it seemed like the people who actually did have one also had it even harder. And from what she heard, Karina had it the worst, the girl being victim to a twisted fate she was still suffering. ‘Iâ€ll have to pray for her tonight…†Seraphim though to herself with a melancholy expression on her face, never forgetting her religious roots.

When Karina started to stutter though, and she was choking back a tear, Seraphim only felt worse, like she had just been stabbed in the gut and she was forced to watch a friend suffer the same. Then finally, she just couldnâ€t take it, and the girl threw the covers off of herself. As much pain as she was in, there were no IVs or anything holding her back, so Seraphim shifted herself before sitting on the edge of the bed, and slowly pushed herself up. So long as she was careful, it didnâ€t hurt too bad, and Seraphim just carried a pained smile, silent as she suddenly walked over to Karina, garbed in only the long blue gown that patients had to wear. Then, without warning, Seraphim leaned over, and carefully wrapped her arms around Karinaâ€s back and shoulders, and pulled her close into a gentle embrace, not letting go. It sounded like Karina was in a desperate need of some help and deserved a hundred embraces for all she went through, so Seraphim figured she would start now, letting Karina know not through words, but her actions, that Seraphim would be hear for her, and that everything… some day… would be okay.

Karina desperately tried to fight back the incoming tears, her entire body shivvering and placed the milkshake back into the cup holder just incase all her shivvering and trembling would become too unstable to hold it. Karina was about to bring her hands to her eyes when she saw Seraphim coming close to her through her teary eyes, then feeling the embrace locked around her, for some reason it made Karina started to unleash her tears though tried to keep herself silent, trying not to whimper out of weakness and wrapped her own arms gently around Seraphim, her eyelids shutting tightly, remaining silent while she hugged Seraphim just a little tighter, soon a whisper came ut of her, even though it was still with a stuttering tone. " I-I'm sorry... I-I shouldn't be crying.. L-Like this.. "

Karina nuzzled the side of Seraphim's neck out of desperation, having never been held like this before, not even by her mother and it felt.. Good... It felt like she could actually unleash dozens of tears on Seraphim but she managed to stay just a little stronger then that, slowly starting to open her eyes and bringing one hand up to start rubbing her knuckle over her eyes to dry them, trying her best to stand stronger now, she had her tears and now they should all retreat back into her mind where they belong, not wanting to show her entire weakness to anyone, even if Seraphim was comforting her so much.
