Yuki Kazikura [D] vs. Renee Steinhauser

After the rough landing she had taken, Renee's head would surely be spinning. But Yuki couldn't stop there. She had seen just how ruthless this woman could be, and if she wanted her to stay down, she was going to need to throw everything she could at her to make sure of it! Besides, she had let Renee push her around for too long. This was Yuki's first match in AFW, and her chance to define herself as a capable contender who could take on the best the promotion had to offer. So far, though, she was struggling to live up to that image. Yuki didn't want her career to be over before it had begun. She had to be better than that!

When she began to climb the ropes, the crowd's cheers began to grow louder and louder at the promise of the high-impact aerial moves that Yuki had at her disposal. And when she demonstrated that a moment later by throwing herself down to slam her knee into Renee, those cheers would grow even louder, now that Yuki had delivered on her promise! Renee had been in control for too long - but now, Yuki was doing something about it!

"One! Two!" the referee counted, but Yuki wasn't going to stop there. Sucking in another deep breath, she got her feet underneath her and pushed herself back to her full height, pulling Renee along in order to hoist the girl up as well. Then, Yuki would whip Renee toward the ring so that she would run into the apron! Hopefully, that impact would land with a clang, stunning Renee - which would leave her open for Yuki to follow up a moment later, running back toward Renee and jumping off the ground with her legs outstretched to dropkick her foe through the ropes and back into the ring!

Renee was picked up by Yuki as her head was throbbing. She was then thrown into the ring apron with a loud thud. She held her arms in pain, used to block her stomach, and would be leaning against it. She then saw Yuki running at her for a simple dropkick. The Renegade would be smart though and decided to push Yuki’s legs away from her, reversing the dropkick. However, this was an experience vs youth moment where when Renee was getting back into the ring, she was caught off guard again with Yuki getting up and delivering another dropkick to the head of Renee, causing her to tumble back into the ring, the throbbing of her head returning.

"Three! Four!"

When Yuki threw Renee at the ring apron, she was hoping that would leave her stunned enough for her to set up her next move. After all, the apron was the hardest part of the ring - as many a commentator had pointed out - and a good collision was sure to leave anyone in a daze. But Renee was a crafty one. When Yuki saw that she had landed, she thought that she was lined up perfectly for her to come closing in and ram into her with a dropkick. Just before she could make contact, though, Renee managed to get her hands up, pushing Yuki away at the last minute and deflecting ll her momentum!

She only had a few moments to gasp before she hit the ground. The Japanese girl fell with the sound of a thump against the floor, causing a few fans to boo at how Renee had interrupted her comeback. Yuki lifted her head, looking back at Renee from the floor with a glare. But she wouldn't let her get away with that so easily. She'd just come closing in again - and this time, when she hopped up to throw a kick for her opponent's head, she was able to drive her boots against her skull, sending her toppling through the ropes and into the ring!

Now, the crowd cheered louder for Yuki's well-executed counterattack! She looked at her handiwork with a smile - and she was far from done. Now that Renee was reeling from the blow to the head, Yuki quickly went to throw herself down on top of her, where she'd grab her leg to hook it for a pin attempt!

Renee would be holding her head as she would be looking up at the skylights. However, her vision would darken as she then got hit with a splash by Yuki before getting her leg lifted up by the rookie. This was it. This was probably the end for the Renegade. Squashed by a jobber. The referee counted.

Renee quickly kicked out before even a one count. It was that experience kicking in for the Renegade as she was definitely not out of the match yet. She wouldn’t allow herself to be taken out like that.

Of course, it wasn't going to be that easy. Yuki hadn't had Renee down for long before her opponent managed to kick out of the pin, rolling out of the way. The newcomer looked up at her with a glare - but at the same time, she knew she couldn't let this keep her down for long. Renee might have frustrated her this time, but Yuki knew she couldn't let her get away. She had to keep bringing the fight to her, and if the last attempt hadn't worked, she'd just have to hit harder with this one!

Pushing herself up off the mat, Yuki would attempt to raise herself to her feet. There, she would waste no time before she took another step forward and threw a superkick at Renee's jaw, hoping to strike while she was still dazed!
