Alizeh Midori (D) vs Adrian Kytes: Starting against the Best

Alizeh smirked as she managed to connect her leg with the front of Adrian's chest, driving into the woman and taking her clear off her feet and down to the mat with a heavy impact. Pushing back off the mat after landing Alizeh would pull her legs under her, sliding her way up to her feet to get back into a standing position. As she did so, Alizeh would lean forward, holding her arms out to her side as she did so, performing a mocking bow to Adrian as a small grin formed on her face. "Hope I'm impressing so far champ." Alizeh said, adding emphasis to the latter part of her taunt before moving forward, leaning down to grab a hold of the woman by her shoulder and arm, aiming to pull the woman up for her next attack!

"Tch," Adrian grunted as Alizeh oh so generously helped the fallen former champ back to her feet full of the smugness of anyone under effects of "Beginner's luck." as the brunette coughed out through her still stinging chest. Still, while the Emerald storm was picking her up Adrian seized on a brief opportunity to 'stumble' into her opponent, taking the time to push the two of them back into the ropes so this time the green haired woman was going for a run across the ring but this time with the ex-cosplayer right behind her every step of the way.

She wasn't waiting for a 'hit the ropes and come back' moment as she leapt into the air, pulling up both boots and crunching her body together to store maximum force, the moment Alizeh hit the ropes Adrian uncurled and thrust her feet forward, looking to nail the debutant with a running dropkick while she was still in the ropes!

Alizeh smirked softly feeling rather proud of herself after taunting the former champion still prone on the mat. Now all she had to do was follow up and insure that she kept Adrian on the back foot so that hopefully she could take her down once and for all. So reaching down and grabbing the woman's shoulders Alizeh aimed to pull the woman up to her feet for her next move. Unfortunately for Alizeh however it was at this time that Adrian regained some sense of bearing and promptly grabbed at Alizeh, turning her and sending her running at the ropes!

'Shit!' Alizeh thought to herself as she was sent running. Unable to do anything about her momentum Alizeh knew off the bat that she would just have to try and roll with the momentum and turn it to her advantage. Turning midstep just as she was about to hit the rope Alizeh would turn around right as her back hit the ropes. Only for her to focus on Adrian who had run after her! "GAH!" Crying out in pain as the former cosplayers body smashed into her own Alizeh was squashed against the ropes, unable to do anything after the impact!

Adrian's momentum behind her dropkick didn't just crush Alizeh, she had picked up enough speed that gravity could only do so much as she sailed through the air over the ropes. "Crapbaskets!" the former champion yelped as Newton's laws of motion wasn't enough to make sure she landed in the ring despite the recoil off the kick, forcing her to reach out and grab the ropes like she was trying to stop herself from being eliminated from a battle royal. Soon enough she was left swinging as the top rope buckled supporting her weight but with enough momentum to bounce up and get her feet on the apron, just in time to give a "I meant to do that" grin to the crowd before turning back to the Emerald Storm in the ring.

With her hands still on the top rope, Adrian slingshotted herself up and over landing back in the ring or mere specifically: on Alizeh with both boots for a slingshot jumping double stomp. The brunette busting out the fancy stuff if she was really going to style on the rookie.

Alizeh groaned softly after getting squashed between the ropes and her opponent. Wincing in pain and bouncing off of the ropes Alizeh stumbled back, shaking her head softly while wincing still in pain. Really the only good thing that came from it was watching as Adrian practically spilling out of the ring and nearly crashing on the floor below. Boy that would have been a sight. Unfortunately for Alizeh however the woman managed to catch herself and even turn the situation around to her own benefit.

Before she could react the brunette leaped onto the top rope and leapt off them, crashing onto Alizeh with both her feet smashing into Alizeh's chest, taking the green haired girl clear off of her feet and down to the mat hard! "Aghhh!" She'd cry out in pain, her legs lifting up in the air before falling back while clutching her chest with a cringe of pain on her face from the impact.

Wasting little time as she bounced off the sizeable chest of the rookie, adding such much needed cushion for her ankles on impact, Adrian spun around and dropped down to her knees without a single pause for breath. The former champion wasn't getting paid by the hour so why go through the whole rigmarole of a long match, wearing the Emerald Storm down with experience and all that jazz, when a quick result would still have a tick in the win column for her. A pin was a win, no need to be sadistic or anything like that. It wasn't even lazy to go for early pins, it was... uh... efficient!

Reaching over to hook the leg closest to the ropes, Adrian pulled her in tight, hoping that the sudden shift from blow to pinning hold would be enough to cheese a quick fall out of this match and give Alizeh a quick lesson on how quickly a match could end.

Alizeh groaned in pain after the drop kick from Adrian knocked nearly all of the air out of her lungs from the sheer force of it. 'Dammit.' Alizeh thought to herself with a groan as she tried to sit up, only to be interrupted when she felt her leg grabbed and her body rolled back against the mat in a pinfall attempt! 'Already?' Alizeh thought to herself, surprised Adrian would try such a thing so early on after just a dropkick. Either way Alizeh refused to be done in so easily, even against a former champion.

"No way!" Roaring in effort Alizeh turned in the direction her leg was lifted in, getting her shoulder off the mat and breaking the pinfall attempt before the two count could even be fully made. No matter what she was not going to lose so easily!

It was a little too much to think that doubling up on double stomps (be they vertical or horizontal) was ever going to get a pin but the important thing to keep in mind as the Emerald storm broke the pin was that Adrian was still on top, Alizeh's determination not to lose was admirable but all she'd done was roll on to her side allowing the former cosplayer to shuffle along, releasing her grip on the green haired grappler's leg so she could wrap it around her head. "Tap out if its too much~ Hahaha!" Adrian cackled as she laid across the young woman's neck, holding her in a tight scarf hold while she tried to get comfortable, get the rookie to burn herself out.

Alizeh had managed to avoid what would have been a utterly humiliating loss early on against Adrian by getting her shoulder up. Unfortunately that wasn't quite enough against someone like Adrian who was a former world champion. As if to prove this point Adrian was quick to transition into a different form of offense, submissions by trying to wrap around Alizeh's head with a scarf hold. Unfortunately for the cosplayer however Alizeh was far from inexperienced in submissions, and despite the choking force of the hold Alizeh was quick and calm to react. Throwing her legs upwards Alizeh attempted to wrap her legs around Adrian's head before trying to tighten her limbs before pulling down to try and reverse the hold into a headscissors!

Taking the time to take a breather while keeping the pressure on the Emerald Storm, Adrian was sitting... well, laying pretty with the basic but effective headlock. This was why they were called rest holds after all, they were designed to make the person in the hold do all the hard work while you did very little. Unfortunately for Adrian, that little bit of work the hold required probably should have included making sure that the grappler beneath her wasn't about to try something to get her off and try something Alizeh did.

"Ugh!" Adrian grunted as an errant heel scraped across her cheek, giving a too-late warning about how the younger fighter had managed to curl in on herself to entangle the former champ between her legs before un-crunching herself to pry Adrian out from her hold and into one of the rookie's! "Gah!" was about all she could get out as she found herself in a very leggy vice, flailing her own legs to get her boot on the bottom rope and earn a rope break, hoping that Alizeh wasn't one of those "I have till 5" people to minimize the time spent getting her head crushed like a watermelon in a fetish video.
