Summer Splash 2020: Friction World Title: Adrian Kytes(c) vs Death Bunny: Hell in a Cell

Aside from that aforementioned wrestling superstition, and Adrian's unbearable success when it comes to evading being plunged through tables of all shapes and sizes, all playing factor's in Death's current misfortune...in general, she was simply having dreadful luck when it came to wooden weapons today. The world was still a warbled haze after being tucked and rolled back inside the ring, with only faint sensory perceptions cluing her into what was happening...



...which was that she was currently being doubled over in a trussed up ball. An unflattering pinning position given her lean legs dangling over her bunny-eared head and alluring backside sticking into the air, and one she seemingly was incapable of breaking out of no matter how fervently she squirmed and struggled. Death's lush body quivered in face scrunching aggravation from not being able to buck this egomaniac off of her,  especially once she overheard the...



...count. But it was the referee herself, who would be milliseconds from ending the match, to stop the canvas smacking once she's noticed Adrian's leveraged advantage. "C'mon Adrian!!! No feet on the ropes!!! Pinfalls gotta be away from the ropes!!!" The referee even going so far as to kick the champion's legs off of the ropes while chastising her about the flagrant disregard for the rules. All to a stirring and relieved ovation, and to Death twisting over to lay facedown on the canvas with some mild efforts begun being made to push herself up.

The crowd booed but Adrian didn't care, after such a scare it was nice to feel that no matter what surprises AFW could throw at her, she could rise to the occasion. She was the best! It's true, and that's why the referee was going to count to three like the good little official she was.

Okay, she wasn't being a good little official. "What the hell!?" She instantly complained as she stood up and got straight in the referee's face "It's Hell In A Cell! What rule am I breaking? What putting people through tables is fine but a little thing like this is ooooh too far!?"

"I'll buy ya the rulebook and show it to you myself!!!! No disqualifications but pinfalls and submissions gotta be made inside the ring without breaking the plane of the ropes!!! And don't think about puttin yer hands on me, or else that's a million yen fine!!!" The referee Maximillian assigned to this match continued laying down the law while pointing to the "AFW" logo on her shirt, a veteran in her own right whose had her share of hardcore match war stories to tell.

The AFW faithful sufficiently riled up with a ravenous uproar, as would any sports fan-base become when witnessing athletes getting in the face of officials. Quarrelsome commotion being the backdrop of the Undead Reaper's fatigued ascension back to one knee, which she'd rest upon with heavy breathing, a slumped over posture and one hand pinching the bridge of her nose. She scrunched her face and concentrated wholeheartedly on regaining her composure and solidifying her blurry-eyed vision.

That was a new addition. The fines for rough handling the referee's used to be a lot smaller, and that's when they could actually prove that she'd done it on purpose. That must have been another one of Max's additions just to make things that extra little bit difficult for her. Still, it was no DQ so it wasn't as if hitting the striped official was going to actually do anything other than make everyone wait for her to get back up so the champ was content to merely brush past her towards the rising challenger.

With the rush of adrenaline that came from soaring through the air fading, Adrian was still breathing heavily as she marched over to Death Bunny, just to give the purple haired giant rabbit a kick to her chest and a command to "Stay down so I can win!" As if that was actually going to make her stop.

Death overheard the bickering squabble taking place in her general vicinity from what was by now a hallmark of being matched up against Adrian. Bitter jaw-jacking with the pinstriped official for doing exactly what she's paid to do. The ongoing tally for just how many referee's the champion has either sent to the infirmary, or has in general just earned the ire of, meant that finding willing officials to helm her matches was becoming an issue that not even paycheck bonuses could always fix...

...but for once D.B. didn't mind Adrian being an insufferable weasel, because she'd just than finally got all the sand grains out of her blinking eyes and was seeing very clearly now. The Bullet Commando's marching being upended with Death springing back to life with a hugging clench around Adrian's waist and an abrupt upheaval to have Adrian practically be positioned over D.B.'s shoulder. The precursor to Ade's rear-end, meeting the business end, of Death's waiting knee in a tailbone ramming Inverted Atomic Drop.

When Adrian's indignant march was cut short, the former cosplayer feared the worst as she was hoisted into the air with the Bunny's arms around her waist, was she about to be pulled into a bearhug? Or tossed on her ass with a belly-to-belly suplex? The answer was: neither. The champion was getting dropped on her ass in a more literal sense of the word as she landed down on Death Bunny's knee, stiffening up as the pain shot from her tailbone up her spine as she staggered away.

Death could very well have missed her calling in life as a chiropractor given how stiffened straight Adrian's posture was at that exact moment. The Grim One figured that the champion could thank her later for realigning that spine of hers, but for now Death arose having gotten some time to recoup from all of that squabbling with the referee. Adrian perhaps unknowingly staggering to the ropes until Death reminded her by propping her up against them with a slicing knife-edge chop, the champion's wrist being clamped onto as D.B. weighed herself against Adrian before Irish-whipping her across the ring...an extended Big Boot with Ade's name on it awaiting her once flung back to the center of the ring.

First her butt, now her boobs! As if Adrian didn't have enough problems being flat without the bigger Bunny smacking her in the chest with a painful thud, the edge of her hand probably leaving a red mark underneath Adrian's black singlet as the champ braced herself against the ropes, perfectly placed for the Grim Hopper to send her running off across the ring.

But when Adrian came running back, she was coming back with a plan. She'd gotten taken out way too many times charging at the Death Bunny by going high, and that was when she was in 100% control. It was time to go a lot lower if DB was going to go high again, in the physical sense not the morality sense. Kicking her feet up just enough off the canvas, the champion brought her legs in as she sailed through the air, only letting them kick out when she was comfortably below waist height and smashing both boots into the challenger's kneecap.

As little consolation as it may be to the A-cupped champion, for the first time in her career, it actually benefited her to be somewhat lacking in that particular area. It outright nullifies Death's dreaded submission finisher, The O.H.T., due to a lack of anything tangible to clamp her hands onto. A maneuver once debated by official AFW personnel as to whether it should become banned in regulation matches, but the matter was abandoned once it was realized that if they voted against it, than one of them would actually have to tell Death not to use the move anymore...the next agenda for the day being unanimously jumped to.

Not that The Dead Woman didn't have an arsenal of otherworldly techniques to bring about this faction leader's ultimate demise, but for now she needed to continue softening up this auburn-haired irritant until she'd become placid, rattled, and far too battered to counter the Gravestone Piledriver Death had been banking on ending this brat's championship reign with. But rather than Adrian get boot-treads embedded into her face, Death's other leg ended up being dropkicked right out from under her. An ugly impact that made the collective audience wince and/or gasp as the collapsed reaper clutched her knee with folded hands, snarling face-first into the canvas with the referee eyeing the situation carefully...

With tenacity only matched by her deplorability, Adrian scrambled back to her feet as her foe was left trying to nurse her hurting leg. A leg Adrian was determined to make a lot more hurting before she was through with it and while she could have worded that thought better, the intent was clear. Grabbing the sore leg up off the canvas, the crowd wondered if the champion was presumptuous enough to think she'd be able to make Death Bunny tap out, before Adrian twisted her entire body and pulled down on the caught limb, delivering a very unorthadox dragon screw to someone who was already having leg problems.
