Summer Splash 2020: Friction World Title: Adrian Kytes(c) vs Death Bunny: Hell in a Cell

If the trembling reverberations of the adjacent ring ropes weren't an obvious enough indicator of just how ferociously Adrian was having her face dunked on, than the sheer distance traveled when Adrian went recoiling backward should suffice nicely. D.B. huffed our warm air through her flared nostrils as she stalked her way back towards the Bullet Club Commando, shadowing her from behind while allowing Adrian to begin staggering her way back to her own feet. Banking on Adrian being to rattled to notice The Grim Hopper behind her who would start dramatically raising her hand up into the sky and signaling her choke-slamming intention to the audience's riled up ovation. Once Ade turned in D.B. direction, she'd be snatched by the neck by Death's cold hands, and have the side of her leotard tugged upward to hug her rump tightly for an attempt at a stalled chokeslam straight to hell...

Adrian staggered to her feet with great difficulty as her head continued to bob up and down as if the Bunny was still ramming her into the corner. The champ was looking out of it by the time the bell had finally rung but fortunately for the battered brunette, her opponent was going to help her focus on the match. Unfortunately for Adrian the most effective way that Death Bunny had for that was to wrap her hand around the champion's throat and lift her straight up into the air.

"Accck!" The champion choked out as both her hands instinctively tried to pry the rabbit off before she put her through the mat to little avail against the challenger's death grip around her neck. Not to be deterred from her efforts to escape, Adrian switched tactics. If she couldn't beat the wrist strength directly, she'd weaken the whole arm! With the held of gravity she drove her elbow into the Bunny's forearm with as much force as she could to get her to let go while she slipped behind, in prime position to kick the leg out of her leg with a low dropkick.

Heralding the choke-slamming wraith that was to come, The Hellacious Hare wiggled her fingers in savage anticipation for what was to come before Adrian turned about and had her airway clenched down upon. All the gagging chortles and flailing down upon D.B.'s arm weren't getting Adrian any closer to earning her freedom seeing as how she was hauled skyward soon after. The Bullet Commando's legs dangling as if she had indeed been marked for the afterlife with the Reaper's vice-like grip being the noose to aid in her journey down the River Styx...but one pointed elbow strike to her forearm had D.B.'s arm falter and led to Adrian being released and her grim adversary briefly cradling the assaulted arm. No sooner had she dropped the little troll had Adrian doubled up on her counter attack by connecting with a stiff low dropkick to D.B's knee, robbing her of her balance and having her take a knee in an irritated and flinching huff...

Gasping for breath, Adrian scrambled back to her feet with a determined grimace. The first step to taking down the big bunny had been taken and it was time to follow up while she was still down on one knee. Dashing towards the ropes behind the challenger she bounced off with a burst of speed and came charging back, looking to wrap her arm around the back of the Rabbit's neck as she jumped forward to plant the bigger woman face first into the canvas with a running bulldog.

Matters were indeed looking particularly grim for the hobbled Reaper having just had her leg dropkicked out from under her. The first bit of genuine offense Adrian could manage without trying to get an underhanded cheapshot in, and what D.B. assumed there was going to be more of. A passing glance behind her allowed her to sense Adrian's sprinting arrival, but with her head indeed snagged into a headlock, Death would stand tall with an arm behind Adrian's waist and begin swiveling and twirling around a dizzying number of times. A guttural roar being belted out upon D.B. ending the airborne spin-cycle by meteorically crashing her back down to Earth in a spinning sidewalk slam that D.B. had dubbed Six Feet Deep...

Adrian went up for her bulldog, but didn't go down. Not straight away anyway "Wha-?" was all she could let out as she suddenly found herself spinning in the air, her arm still looped over the Bunny's head while she was spun around only to be dropped down onto her shoulders with a painful thud as she bounced off the canvas, still spinning slightly with each bounce.

Lightweight adversaries always suffered the most when it came to maneuvers like these. But their slamming torment was the audience's awe-struck delight as Adrian gained extra height and further rotation before being dunked back down to the canvas. The Malicious Hare rebounding up to a seated position before attempting to try her luck at an early pinfall by scooting over and draping herself over Adrian with both of her legs curled upward.

"One!"

The referee's hand was raised to continue the count but before she could smack the canvas for a second time the champion had already lurched out of the Rabbit's grasp with a jolt at the count of one, not even risking the extra time to recover for a two count. Still, just because she had kicked out quickly didn't mean Adrian was in any hurry to get back onto her feet. The former cosplayer instead just kept rolling away in the direction she had kicked out, going all the way across the canvas before slumping out onto the floor, thankfully vertical with gravity's assistance as she staggered on the outside of the ring, a hand on the cell wall to steady herself.

Not expecting this pin count to actually earn her a victory meant that D.B. showed little disappointment when Adrian unearthed herself after the one count. Although what it did do was make this gang leader exert strained effort in interrupting the count, which the Avatar Of Death knew would gradually start whittling away at Adrians' endurance until she'd eventually listen to that voice in her head telling her to just stay down. Although for now it looked like that voice was telling the commando to do what she does best, and cowardly retreat. Death standing back up after pushing off of her knee and started grimly marching towards Ade. She'd press down on the top rope while stepping over the slanted tether before hopping down a few feet behind Adrian, intent on tugging back on her shoulder to have her turnabout so she could pop the brunette right in her mug with a stiff as hell right hook...

It was amazing how quickly Adrian's head stopped spinning when the rest of her stopped spinning with it. The champion was able to stand up fairly straight with one arm on the ring apron which after getting tossed around the way she had was a minor achievement. But the Bunny Reaper couldn't even let her have that before she struck again: spinning her around only to send her spinning back around with a heavy hook that send her sprawling into the steel steps, pressing her arms against the steel to keep herself steady as her jaw tried to settle back into place.

Still, steel was something Adrian could work with: there was no way in Hell (in a cell) that the Bunny was going to let Adrian prop herself back up again without another shot, but all the former cosplayer needed was for the big woman to draw in close, then she could reach up with her hands to grab her by the head, and tangle her legs with the challenger's all for the purpose of dunking the rabbit face first into the steel.
