Seraphim and Masane: Old wounds

Having all her weight placed into that one leg, Seraphim would find a small breach in her defences, that Masane had pursued at her perfect chance. Seraphim wasn't very well balanced to begin with outside of her Muay Thai style, and with her defenses focused elsewhere, she found herself toppling over when the girl struck her one leg that supported her. The strike itself didn't hurt her, it was just a simple force at her weakest point. But, the one eyed girl strill grunted as she fell onto her back on the mat, looking up to realize Masane had her chance. She didn't have many tactics while on the ground either, so Seraphim instantly put herself in action to try and get herself up, attempting to use the force of the fall to immediattly begin rolling, however, Masane still had her chance if she was quick enough to do something while Seraphim was down.

Masane grinned when she managed to knock her down to the mat. Unfortunately, ground attacks weren't exactly her strong point, nor did she really care to use them too much, unless it was with someone she really wanted to hurt. Instead she stepped back, showing no intention of going after her as she fell to the ground. This fight was exhilirating for her. She hadn't really had a chance to show off her real moves to this woman, having wanted to train elsewhere, but now that she had this opportunity, she was thoroughly enjoying it.

She was... letting her get up? Seraphim had to admit, that was very admirable. It wasn't a true match anyway, but there were stakes on the line in this little bet of theirs, so she couldn't help but find it a little odd. The one eyed woman would have found it perfectly acceptable if she attacked her while she was down. There was nothing wrong with it in Seraphim's eyes, it was perfectly allowed in the ring, after all. But Masane was proving to be a better, more respectable player than Seraphim first took her for, making her beleive in more firmly in the choice she made in inviting Masane into White Gale.

"How kind of you." Seraphim said with a little muse in her town, before rolling foward to get to her feet. She wanted to surprise Masane, springing up quickly, showing no signs of pain slowing her down, as she got up with a swing, rising to her feet with a fist, hoping to uppercut the girl in the chin as she rose up.

Masane smiled at her comment. "It's not out of kindness, it's out of respect." She replies calmly, then blinks as she suddenly sprung to her feet, and got hit. Hard. She took the fist hard to the jaw and flopped to her rear with a grunt, rubbing her jaw. "Gh... sonuvabitch that one hurt..."

"And that was my respect." Seraphim said with a cocky little grin in the corner of her lips. But a few moments later, she did drop her mean little return to her comment, and stepped back a bit, resuming her feet into the Muay Thai stance, and her fists in a defensive boxing like stance. "But seriously, I like that. I didn't realize how true of a fighter you were. So show me what else you got." Seraphim took back her last words and let Masane know she really didn't mean anything bad to the girl, and in return, even gave Masane the chance to get to her feet now, giving the girl the time she needed. Pretty soon, she wanted things to really step up and be a true fight, but for now, she felt like she was still getting warmed up. And honestly, being in the ring with this girl was really starting to entertain her, Seraphim was starting to like her.

Masane looked up at Seraphim, and watched as she stepped back and assumed her stance. She smiled a little at her request, and started to rise back up to her feet, and shifted into her karate stance.

"I'm going to show you EVERYTHING I've got, Seraphim." She replied. "I would expect you to do the same for me." She then started to move in slowly, faking a jab for her face, trying to get an opening on her.

That was the spirt. This was the Masane she wanted to face. The past conflict they had no longer in Seraphim's mind, as she felt like she was really starting to begin a new fight right here and now. The two were ready, shrugging off there past few blows, and starting another 'round' so to speak, as they assumed there stances. Seraphim played it defensive at first, her knee raised from the ground just enough to intercept a blow, her fists ready to strike or defend, and her body as hardened as ever as she tensed the muscles in her gut. She waited, watching, wanting to see what Masane did, until finally, she went in.

'There!' Seraphim saw the girl going for her jab, and Seraphim defended. It wasn't hard, since her arms were already shifted in a defensive manner, so she moved her right forearm enough to her face to absorb the blow, not aware of it being a fake. So instead, she thrusted her knee up, attempting to hit Masane while she was close already, hoping to get her square in the chest.

Masane was on her toes as she was focused on Seraphim's face this time around. It was a little skill she had been practicing with, and she would test it with her friend. She could tell what she was thinking just as she threw her fake jab, and read the expression on her face, quickly taking a step back, and tried to hook an arm up to catch her knee, and would try to counter with an elbow to her foreheard, putting gusto behind the move, confident she caught her.

"HAHH!"

Seraphim focused more on power, and creating difficult defenses and offenses to penetrate, making her a very difficult and savage opponent. But There were occassional breaches in her defences, the oppurtunity to strike being only in small moments that had to be taken advantage of in an instant. And fortunately for Masane, she foudn that key moment, as she blocked Searphim's knee, and made a quick and sudden counter, getting past Seraphim's deadly stance for that sudden moment.

It was all in a flash, as Seraphim's crimson eye widened when she saw the elbow coming at her. But with only one leg supporting her, her knee still up and caught from the girl, there was no way she could move. Instead Seraphim braced for the impact, gritting her teeth and tensing up, when suddenly, the elbow struck her hard and fierce, right in the forehead. Immediatley, Seraphim collapsed, unable to even stumble as she just fell strait on her back into the mat, hitting the back of her head and shoulders hard against it, bringing a tremendous pain to the one-eyed warrior. She yelled out a curse, letting out a raging growl under her breath, and both hands clutched her forehead as she rolled to her side, pulling her knees up closer to herself, almost like she was in a fetal position for those few moments. Seraphim was able to tolerate pain like no one else, and pretty soon, she knew she could get back on her feet. But for the moment, the world was going around her in a vortex, feeling a horrible headache as her vision blurred for a moment while she laid on her side on the mat.

Masane smiled when she nailed the blow straight and true, and stepped back as Seraphim fell to her back, and she cracked her knuckles slowly, waiting for her to get back up, if she wanted to fight some more. She decided she'd goad her a little bit with some taunting.

"That all you got Seraphim? You must really not want me on your team.." She grinned, betting that would spark a flame in her.
