Nanami Tomonari vs. Makoto Sane - Heaven to Underworld

Hitting Makoto's midsection with a spinning kick, Nanami managed to bring her opponent down. Following through her motion, Nanami would then stop her rotation as she would plant her feet on the mat as she would look at her downed opponent, deciding on what to do next.

"Alright..." Nanami muttered as she would bend down, grabbing one of Makoto's legs by her ankle, bringing it up. She planned to immobilize her opponent first, so she would try to drive a kick right into Makoto's thigh, hoping to deal some damage on that area, which she was certain would weaken her. And right after that, she planned to throw said leg down onto the mat for more damage.

"N-no! AAAACK!" Makoto cried out as the woman kicked her leg while holding onto her ankle. The submission user needed to get away, but she couldn't as long as Nanami was holding onto her. This was resolved soon enough, sadly her opponent did so by throwing her leg down for extra damage. Makoto cried out yet again as this occurred before grasping her hurting knee and thigh close to her chest.  

Looking to buy herself some extra time, though, Makoto would suddenly try to sweep Nanami off her feet with a swift kick from her good leg. It wouldn't be too painful, but it should give the young woman time to recover and get a better position for herself. Nanami was tough, and Makoto respected that strength. But she would also overcome it in the end. She had to...Shuri was watching, after all. And Makoto wanted nothing more to impress her. If she let the woman down...the heavenly soldier couldn't even bare the thought in fear of it affecting her performance.

Targeting Makoto's leg before throwing it down, Nanami thought that she had gained an upper hand over the white-clad woman, but much to her surprise, Makoto was still able to attack her from down there using her other leg that she didn't attack earlier. Makoto went to sweep Nanami off of her feet using her good leg, and the former sukeban ended up falling onto her butt, eliciting a squeal of surprise and pain from her.

"Myaahhh!!"

Grimacing as she felt the pain on her tailbone, Nanami would try to move backwards, hoping to distance herself from Makoto as she would try to get herself some space for her to recover. Still, at this point, she was unable to continue with her momentum, giving her opponent ample chance to recover herself, and the two of them would return back to square one.

This was Makoto's chance! She had just successfully swept Nanami's legs and made her land on her butt. This gave her a shot to turn things around. So while Nanami tried to move backwards, the skilled submission user would crawl forward quickly and grab her opponent's left ankle.

"Take this..." Makoto would say coldly before turning around with her opponent's leg. Then, she'd grab Nanami's right leg, and try locking the woman into a figure four leg lock! This was one of the most painful submissions, and Makoto always had some good luck with it. If successful, all she'd have to do is keep Nanami in this hold until the purple haired woman tapped out! It might take a little, considering how tough her opponent seemed. But Makoto had to win this. She had to prove herself to her teammates, and most importantly, to Shuri...

As Nanami tried to move back, Makoto managed to grab her by her left ankle, and her plan to distance herself from her opponent was foiled. Then, Makoto went to grab her other leg before putting her in a figure four leglock, which caused intense pain around both her legs. "Uwaahhhhh!!!" Nanami cried out in pain as she was trapped in the figure four, and she needed to do something in order to escape this.

"Nnnghhhh... nngghhhh!!!" With her brow scrunching up, Nanami would struggle to break free from the figure four leglock, twisting and thrashing to make it difficult for Makoto to maintain the hold. At the same time, she would also try to drag herself backwards, hoping that she could at least move towards the ropes, which were still a distance away from her. The former sukeban would struggle to try making sure that she could escape this before her endurance ran out.

Makoto was having a hard time thanks to Nanami's trashing, but the woman was determined to hold on tight! She'd continue to inflict this hold upon the purple haired warrioreess untill she tapped! It seemed like Nanami was just as determined to escape, though. Her struggles were fierce, and she was even dragging them back across the mat in an attempt to grab the ropes!

"No you don't!" Makoto shouted, although still rather quietly, as she fought to keep the woman away from the ropes. Leaning forward, Makoto would try to reach and grab the woman's head before striking her with her forearm. She hoped this was daze Nanami enough to stop her from getting to the ropes. But if it didn't, Makoto would continue to strike her. Desperately hoping that Nanami would give in already!

Nanami continued her struggling to escape the figure four leglock while at the same time trying to move towards the ropes for a rope break. But Makoto was also quite adamant in refusing to let go of her, and as Nanami struggled to move backwards, her white-clad opponent suddenly grabbed onto her head and struck her with a forearm strike.

"Gwahhh!!"

The strike left Nanami reeling, and her struggle was disrupted. And Makoto didn't even stop there as she continued hitting her with the same attack, leaving Nanami unable to focus on trying to get away. For the time being, all she could do was bringing her arms up in order to block her opponent's attacks. Even then, she wouldn't be able to block all of them.
