AV 16 Hardcore Title cage match: Adrian Kytes (c) vs. Silver Ace

The crowds chant were much louder than the ref's, leading Ace to be unable to hear the woman's count. Upon hearing her brothers and sisters count the third fall, she sat up, blood dripping down her mostly unclothed body, except for on the bright white smile on her face, thinking she had put Adrian down with her trusty finisher.

...Until she saw the expression on the referee's face, the two fingers being held up, her eyes widening as she came to learn she hadn't won after all.

"...W-what...WHAT!?"

She yelled, unable to believe it. Nobody. NOBODY had kicked out of the Ace Crusher. It had NEVER let her down before, not ONCE in three years...until now. Until Adrian.

Groaning, Ace forced her weary body up to her feet, grabbing Adrian's arm and starting to pull her up to her feet as well.

"I don't know how you did that...but I bet you can't do it again!"

She yelled, planning on pulling Adrian up to, once she could, try another Ace Crusher!

Truth be told, as she lay face down on the canvas, Adrian wasn't 100% sure how she'd managed it either and was even less sure that she could pull off a repeat performance. Blood was cascading down over her lips from her crushed up nose as Silver Ace started to pull her up, leaving a red splotch on the mat beneath her. "YAAA!" The Hardcore champion yelled as she took a wild swipe at her challenger's stomach, barely up on one knee before she started swinging, she knew that Ace was trying to repeat the move, and while Adrian might have kicked out of one Ace Crusher she was not kicking out of a second.

"Oof!"

The shot to her stomach, wild and hard, wasn't exactly a bonebreaker punch, but with no heavy outfit to absorb some of the impact, and already working on little air and tired and shaky legs, the blow made Ace let go of her opponent, bending over as a result.

She tried to straighten herself, but the need to regain air, and her weakened state, caused her to fall to one knee instead, on eye level with her bloody opponent!

Adrian was looking Ace straight in the eye, neither of the two fighters willing to back down despite their own bodies starting to fail them, both with red streaks of blood running down their faces and pooling together on the mat. Struggling back to her feet Adrian swung her hand overhead, trying to bring it down for a clubbing blow across the Canadian's back, trying to keep her opponent down while she stood up.

Ace's own attempt to get back up were thwarted, a couple hard blows on her back keeping her down on one knee, cursing with each hard shot!

"Get...fuck...Stop it!"

Adrian did stop it eventually, as soon as she had staggered up to her feet she stopped swinging down at the protesting Canadian and had instead kept her arms on top of her more for balance than to keep Ace down. The Challenger wanted back up off one knee, and the champion would let her get back to her feet in due time, just as soon as she managed to shove Ace's head in between her thighs and wrap her arms around the Canadian's midriff. While the Ace Crusher might not have been enough to keep Adrian down, would the same be true for her opponent as Adrian set up for her own last resort button. The 100% win rate Bankai. Or in more local terms: A Canadian Destroyer.

Summoning enough strength in her legs, Adrian jumped up and tried to catch Ace's head again as she went up and over, flipping with the challenger as she attempted to drive the Silver haired hero head first into the blood stained canvas.

Her own exhaustion, and Adrian's hammering blows, kept Ace down enough to be slotted between Adrian's legs, some parts of the crowd standing to see what was about to happen...and then the rest of the crowd standing in shock, screaming in awe as their Canadian heroine was flipped headfirst to the mat with the flip Piledriver, aptly named the "Canadian Destroyer".

Ace was, for all intent and purposes, dead. She laid on her front, bloody face pressed into the mat, her head feeling like it damn near exploded from the impact, short spasms going through her body.

It was over. The Canadian Destroyer had finally destroyed an actual Canadian, and, judging from the roaring boo's coming from the crowd, they were not only upset, they were straight up insulted.

Adrian flopped back down onto the canvas in sync with the Canadian challenger, lying spread eagled on the mat as Ace shook lightly after taking one of the biggest move in the business. Getting dropped on your head was always a debilitating experience let alone getting flipped before hand with so little time to brace for the impact leaving Adrian with all the time in the world to look up at the lights before she made her move.

Sitting back up and wiping away the blood from her chin, Adrian got around to rolling Silver Ace over onto her back and fix something that would no doubt bug her on replays after the German Suplex, this time when making the pin she was going to hook the damn leg!

There was some time spent, both girls on the mat, after the devastating piledriver, with fans hoping that their hometown girl would be able to overcome the odds, get back up to her feet somehow, and keep on going.

But hopes were dashed, as Adrian sat up, rolled Ace over, and hooked her legs. Silver Ace was done, She had failed. She had failed her friends, unable to get the rematch she needed with Styx. She had failed her countrymen and women, unable to claim victory in front of them. Her parents, Gallium...Valley Doll...she had failed all of them, the match was over, the dreams of Toronto dashed in front of them as the referee dropped to count the pin.

"ONE!"

  "TWO!"

   "THR-"

"NO!"

The crowd, certain the end had come, gasped aloud in shock and awe, the referee just coming just inches from slapping the mat for a third time, when Silver Ace, somehow, on sheer subconscious instinct, fueled by fear of failure, unable to actually muster the strength to out, threw her arm up, just enough to lift her shoulder off the mat and break the count!

That was three. It had to be three. Physics was wrong if that wasn't three. It was like in Einstein's theory of relativity, E equals MC squared and flip piledrivers ended matches, it just worked! This could not be happening, except in regards to quantum mechanics maybe but even still! "How the fuckk!?" Adrian groaned as she rolled off Ace, looking up at the referee displaying two fingers to the crowds delight and the champion's despair.

Picking herself off the mat she looked at Ace, still down but not out, looked back at the blood before she reached a conclusion. While Ace might have had enough energy to kick out, she still looked out of it according to Adrian, keeping up the fight was only going to create opportunities for her to get back in the game. Fortunately there was an alternate solution, stumpling towards the ropes Adrian did her best to grip the steel mesh behind it and slowly climb.
