AV 16 Hardcore Title cage match: Adrian Kytes (c) vs. Silver Ace

At what point, had this situation gotten away from her?

Oh right. Superkick. Face. KTFO.

Well, no more of that suit.

As Ace pulled herself back up to her feet, on shaky legs, blood dripping down half of her face, she started muttering to herself, telling herself to get back up, get on her feet, and fight back, take Adrian down. It was time to get back in this fight.

Or not. Apparently, Adrian felt it was time Ace fell down again, the hometown girl getting her arms up to protect her head as she heard Adrian running towards her, only to go low and clip her leg, dripping her again to the mat, her fans screaming at her to get up and fight!

"Im...im not beaten yet!"

She yelled at the champ, using the ropes to pull herself up again, hobbling on her clipped leg.

"Key word there," Adrian added as Ace pulled herself up to her feet, looking very much worse for wear as the Hardcore Champion approached "Is 'Yet'." Reaching out to pull Silver ace away from the not so safe haven of the ropes, Adrian tried to force the challenger under her arm as she wrapped it around her head. She hadn't thrown the other arm over for another suplex though, this time Adrian had ideas to add a little extra colour to the mat, motioning for a DDT with her free hand before pitching backwards, looking to drive Ace face first in the canvas.

Being pulled away from the ropes and finding herself being put in a front face lock was a familiar feeling for Ace. However, unlike that suplex earlier, where she was still half unconscious, this time she was wide awake, and fully alert, and ready to teach Adrian what an Ace could do!

As Adrian lifted her arm, motioning and getting a chorus of boos from the crowd, Ace snapped her arms around the champions midsection, bending her knees and heaving the girls upwards, leaning back as she stood up, releasing her grip, throwing the champion back onto the mat with a Northern Lights Release Suplex!

Adrian was on top of the world, and then she was under it, or something. The ring looked as though it was suddenly above her and approaching fast, only that made no sense and she was probably flying down towards the ring instead of up, that made more sense. Wait... Crapbaskets... The crowd roared in approval as Adrian's back crashed down on the mat, the Hardcore champion instinctively arching her spine off the canvas as she tried to wrap her head around what just happened and what it meant for her. Nothing good, that's what.

Crapbaskets indeed!

Having managed to just nearly avoid getting her head spiked onto the mat, Ace stayed down for a couple moments, finishing catching her breath before turning over and pushing herself back up to her feet, the crowd clapping for her and cheering her on as she managed to get back to a standing position!

"Alright...time to turn this around..."


She muttered to herself, wiping some blood out of her eye before going over to Adrian. Knowing her, there was little chance the champ would be down very long, so she had to work fast, quickly limping over to the fallen girl, the back of her leg still hurting from that kick from earlier. It would hurt, but she could manage it for now, long as she avoided anymore shots there.

Grabbing Adrian's arm, Ace pulled her opponent back up to her feet, grinning as she pulled Adrian in close, letting her get a good look, face to face, at Ace's bloody face and the fire in her eyes as she wrapped her arms tight around the girls waist.

"Ready for a ride!?"

She exclaimed, before hauling her opponent up and over, falling back and throwing Adrian over head, trying to throw her back onto the mat with a belly to belly suplex!

Adrian wasn't ready for a ride, and she certainly wasn't ready to see the bloodied face of the challenger dripping down upon her, shocking the Hardcore champion to the point where she couldn't really resist being yanked up to her feet no matter how much her back hurt and by the time she was up it was too late.

Fun fact about wrestling rings, they were always a bit smaller than anticipated. As such: moves that traversed large distances such as swings and suplexes tended to be done so that there was a good chance of the victim actually being able to complete the move instead of being tossed out and able to grab the ropes to brace the fall. Fortunately for Adrian, Ace had decided to do her overhead belly to belly suplex in a position that would mean her back would hit the top rope, allowing her theoretically to bounce off and over and land on her feet on the apron. Unfortunately: this was a cage match. At her request.

Adrian's back hit the ropes while her butt hit the cage, the resulting tumble bouncing the former cosplayer repeatedly into the steel mesh off the cables before she finally hit the edge of the ring flat on her front, caught between the ropes and the steel.

That...went better than expected.

Ace had winced, seeing Adrian crash into the cage, and tumble to the apron. That just looked painful, but Adrian had been champ this long for a reason. She could take it.

Rather than give her time to get up on her own, Ace rolled over and limped over to the cage, reaching through the ropes and grabbing Adrian's arm, hoisting her body up and pulling her back, making her lean against the ropes. Wrapping an arm around Adrian's neck to hold her in place, Ace let out a yell for her Canadian brothers and sisters to cheer too, before firing her knee upwards, between the ropes into the small of Adrian's back with a hard strike, repeating the move once, twice, three, four times total, each strike met with a cheer from her clearly biased fanbase.

As if that wasn't bad enough for the champ, Ace got a little idea...

"Hope you don't get bent out of shape about this..."

She quipped, giving Adrian a brief kiss on the cheek before stepping on the bottom ropes, using them as a stepping stone to bring her mostly bare legs through the middle ropes and wrap them around Adrian's waist, while wrapping her arm around the womans neck, now hanging off her body, using her weight to bend Adrian's back and neck over the top rope, and while her own body acted as a counterweight, the incredibly short distance between the cage and the ropes meant her feet would hit the cage, leaving her stuck in the submission hold!

The repeated boots were a bad enough wake up call, digging into the small of her back and forcing her front back into the cage, that Adrian wanted to be back curled up asleep on the ring apron. A sentiment Ace was happy to oblige with as she wrapped herself around the Hardcore champion, stuffing her arm around Adrian's neck in an attempt to choke her out.

Normally, standing Dragon Sleepers were no big deal for Adrian, she was agile enough to back flip over for a counter most of the time, but with the close confines of the cage, and with Ace's legs hanging on and stuck through the middle and top ropes, cage walking up wouldn't do anything apart from make her situation worse by getting all the blood to rush straight to her head or worse: drop herself on it. Still, there was one option she had, that she doubted Ace would have thought of.

With one arm on the top rope and one foot on the bottom, she tried to contort herself forward, swinging under the middle rope and hopefully giving Ace a face full of steel, trying to stun the Canadian into giving her enough wriggle room to escape from the mess she got herself in.

Ace, in all honesty...had no idea what the hell just happened.

One moment, the bloody Canadian had the Hardcore Champion locked into a pain submission chokehold, in just the perfect position on the ropes, certain that she was about to make either the Hardcore Adrian Kytes tap out, or make her pass out in front of all her Canadian brothers and sisters, and the next... She suddenly found her face painfully smacking back into the cage wall, catching her completely off guard and causing her to loosen the scissor/sleeper hold combo, as she groaned painfully, seeing stars after hitting the cage.

It had been an awkward tangle, but Adrian eventually flopped back through the ropes, landing in the ring gasping for breath and trying to get the spots out of her vision as she pulled herself free of the car crash scene that was between the ropes and the cage an eventually rolling her back to stare at the lights. Her neck was stiff and her whole body ached from the awkward way she twisted to get out, but she still had the energy to raise an arm in small victory, complete with flipping the bird to the biased Canadian crowd who really thought Ace had it.
