Contendership Round 2: Akashi Tanikaze Vs. Shanari Drackanov

Akashi's eyes widened when her hair was stroked. That was rather unusual. If she thought the touching was strange, the the whispered words were downright scary. She's a crackpot! She thought as she felt her breath soften and her energy begin to fade. I can't let someone like this stand in the way of my dream! Against her better judgement, she squeezed tightly and then tried to roll Shanari by pushing off with her legs. She hoped this would work to at least get them on their side if not she might have to resort to her own form of payback.

Shanari tried to keep it simple and it even looked like she was winning, though Akashi suddenly squeezing and rolling got Shanari once again upon her back with the girl ontop of her. She released a irritated huff of air, relasing Akashi and planted er head upon her shoulders to try and push her off.

Akashi wasn't going to keep it on the ground anymore. Though she felt she would still be better in a close combat situation. She said up but not before launching another hard slap at Shanari's head to daze her. When she was on her feet, she would look to haul up Shanari into a standing headlock. If she managed that then she would drop her back down in a DDT.

Shanari needed to come up with a plan to turn the tables, it was obvious that staying close to Akashi was going to end up hurting her more then Akashi would, the oppurtunity struck itsself when she was pulled to her feet by Akashi, immidiatly she interrupted any attack Akashi was planning by grabbing onto Akashi's legs and trying to pull them off the ground to go for a spinebuster.

Akashi was stunned when her legs were grabbed. She couldn't pull up Shanari any further. She was caught off guard and slammed onto her back by Shanari. She grunted in pain and winced, For the moment, she was dazed by the attack.

Shanari grasped Akashi's legs and tried to fold her up in half, her hands placing themselves on Akashi's shoulders to try and pin them down on the mat, purring softly at the posion they had taken.

Shanari was able to get ahold of Akashi's legs before she realized what was happening. She squirmed but Shanari had her pinned down pretty well. She growled as the ref began the count. She wasn't going to let her win that easily. By the count of two she brought her hand up and slammed it as hard as she was able into Shanari's elbow, breaking the count temporarily and hopefully making Shanari pull her hand up. If she did, Akashi would try and grab Shanari's wrist.

Shanari's eyes narrowed once the second count came, a smirk came upon her lips but it was short lived when Akashi slammed into her elbow, making her hand slip from the mat and therefor break the pin. With a growl she released Akashi and stood back up, only to have her wrist grasped, twitching and yanking back.

Akashi was surprised that she not only was able to break the count but got Shanari up. She rolled with Shanari and stood up as well, trying to maintain the hold on her wrist. When Shanari tugged, instead of trying to resist, Akashi charged forward to let the wrist slacken and tried to launch a knee into Shanari's stomach.

Shanari wasn't able to dodge the knee and it crashed straight into her stomach, making the russian cough out and bend over against Akashi, her tugging had immidiatly stopped.
