Contendership Round 2: Akashi Tanikaze Vs. Shanari Drackanov

Akashi had spent her time between matches resting and redressing her injury. So far, fatigue had not taken as much a toll on her as the injury and she was feeling very good about the upcoming match. She entered the ring and performed the sumo ritual and bowed to the crowd before turning to face the arena entrance to see who her opponent would be.

It wasn't long before the dark haired girl was suddenly standing at the entrance, her theme song wasn't even played yet and the crowd near her jumped a little back from the fence, Shanari seemed to just pop out of nowhere at that moment. Her theme song finally played and the lights went crazy, making Shanari bring her hand up to her forehead and brush the hair away from her eyes so she could glare up at the shiny lights, not much of an expression came from her.. Looking more like she was delusioned from something, the mental damage Sarah Gatt gave her was still etched deep in her mind but she seemed okay to fight with it..

Finally Shanari stepped down the ramp and towards the ring, dressed in a simple black short jacket, a white loose shirt underneath it, black denim shorts and black fingerless gloves. She'd quietly roll underneath the lower ropes and stand up onto the mat, staring at her opponent for a quick second before back at the ceiling, staring at the lights went from side to side.

Akashi watched curiously as Shanari appeared. She seemed normal enough from Akashi's first reactions. Something seemed a little off though. Akashi shrugged it off and bowed to Shanari. "Let's have a good match." She said as the bell rang. She would still have to be wary, so as she approached, she held her hands up for a test of strength.

Shanari glared back down straight into her opponents eyes with her own dull ones and when the bell rung she immidiatly ran straight towards her opponent, she noticed the hands coming up for a lock up attempt but she wasn't going to allow it, instead se tried to jump straight against Akashi's stomach for a spear attempt.

Akashi saw the spear but there was little she could do to avoid it. She grabbed Shanari's jacket and hoped she could hold onto it as she slammed into the ground and let out a loud grunt of pain. She tried to pull the jacket up, hoping that it would stifle any follow up attack. Through the pain she smiled. "So it's gonna be like that... good."

Shanari didn't reply, though with her jacket in Akashi's grasp she couldn't do much but stay close to her staring straight into her eyes while she tried to remove the hands from her jacket, her body yanking backwards as hard as possible, not knowing what Akashi was going to do if she kept gripping it.

Akashi continued to hold onto the jacket while Shanari struggled to remove it. If she could, she would try and wrap her legs around Shanari and squeeze her. If she could get the hold, she would also try and roll Shanari over onto her back, using the grip on the jacket to try and help maneuver her.

There was a slight flinch in Shanari's expression when the legs started to squeeze around her body, it was enough to keep her trapped and soon rolled underneath Akashi, laying rather calmly onto her back while she stared up at Akashi, a much more irritated look on her face as she tried to reach for the ropes with her hand.

Akashi knew that she would hue to break he Shanari got to the rope but for now she wasn't worried. She reached out to grab the hand with one hand while trying for an open handed slap with the other, a little payback for the spear. To further discourage Shanari's attempts, Akashi raised her self about an inch and slammed her butt back down on Shanari.

Shanari whimpered very softly when she was slapped, it had certainly made her struggling cut off for a few moments, shaking her head a little to the sides to get her dizzyness from her though the sudden slam of Akashi's butt made her eyes slightly widen and cough out the important air she was holding.

" Ngh..! "
