The beginning of an end to an Era (Sarah and Seraphim)

There was nothing more refreshing then getting to know the urban enviroment. And for a certain one-eyed woman, that meant quite literally roof hopping in the middle of the afternoon on a clear blue sky. From pipelines to fences, balconys, fireescapes, and going from one roof to another. This came to Seraphim naturally, having learned these effective ways of Parkour from her closest friend; Alison Owen. But unfortunately for Seraphim her wounds left her a little slower than usual, having an older bandage around her neck that was nearly healed, but more importantly, a rather fresh and deep cut along her left thigh and right forearm, both hindering her performance a bit. Still, Seraphim always beleived there was no sense in just sitting around, and she always got used to recovering though simply pushing herself further, taking a whole new meaning to 'walk it off.'

There was one outfit Seraphim always prefered for this, something loose and free flowing that she had actually worn when Alison first taught her Parkour, and she was currently garbed in the impressively designed [url=http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e28/ShadowOfIce/Shadow%20Tatsumi%20Kimiko%20Yomi/Seraphim_Ready_For_Anything.jpg:11pe2y4d]outfit[/url:11pe2y4d], taking her final leap from the last rooftop to the next, now on a four story apartment complex, then sliding down the gutter pipe towards a back alley where she found herself panting heavily for breath.

"What a rush.." She panted a few times, chest rising and falling rapidly as she took a moment to relax, leaning against the brick wall as she closed her eye, the other covered in the black, leather eyepatch. Eventually, Seraphim would slowly walk out from the alleyway to approach the sidewalks of this run down part of town, finding it much less crowded than anywhere else. She always came here for practice, the police just never seemed to have a problem with it since they never came here. Still, even after the whole freerunning she had just done, something didn't feel right for Seraphim. It wasn't her sounds, pain was just a word to her she constantly ignored, but she felt uneasey... like something just wasn't right around here right now.

Seraphim's suspicions would soon prove her right, as the sound of metal scraping across brick would soon be heard.

It was coming from an alleyway attached to the one Seraphim was in, and it was growing louder, along with the sound of approaching footsteps. Finally someone stepped into view.

The source of the noise was a metal pipe being dragged across the brick wall. That pipe was in the hands of a woman. A woman with blazing red hair and piercing green eyes. She wore a black leather jacket, underneath which she wore a black Lamb of God t-shirt. She also wore a pair of loose fitting jeans. But the most alarming part was the look on her face, a smile that was pleasent but held the air of dark intent.

She dragged the pipe across the wall one more time, before she let it rest in her hand, and Seraphim would see that there was fresh blood staining it. With a gleam in her cold green eyes, Sarah Gatt smiled at Seraphim.

"Hey there."

...What was that?? Was it the cops? No.. no of course not, she really didn't do anything wrong. And it couldn't have been an animal, not even the largest of stays carried themselves around with a sound like that. So what in the Hell was that sound? Tense, and always on her toes, Seraphim stood firm and ready, never taking a fighting stance, but gazing in the direction with a hardened focus in her eye to see what it was, ready for anything if there was a threat of danger.

Then, the source was revealed, and at first Seraphim remained tense, almost thinking it was some lowly gang member looking to try and get their hands on her, but after a few seconds, and when she heard the voice, Seraphim knew who it was. It was the AFW's winning streak maiden who took down her opponents like cattle, and proved to be as brutal as Seraphim, taking down anything in her path. A woman who had nothing to lose, and only a fame to gain, possessing an ego and pride to rival Seraphim's.

It was Sarah Gatt.

"What in the Hell are you doing in this shithole?" Seraphim said back with a casual tone, not even caring that she just called her own territory by that name and instead keeping her cool as she maintained her ground, eyeing the pipe briefly and treating this like a situation that could go from words to weapons in a heartbeat. This didn't sit well to the Crimson-Eye, and she knew what Sarah was capable of from what she had seen, but it didn't keep Seraphim from doubting herself for even a moment. She planned that one day she would fight against and beat Sarah, so this just came off as a surprise gift a little early to her.. that's all.

Sarah tapped the pipe up and down in her hand, the blood staining the pipe now moving onto her hand, never losing her smile as she did. "Oh nothing," Sarah replied in an equaly casual and innocent tone. "I just live here." She din't care that Seraphim called her neighbourhood a 'shithole'. That was the reason she chose to live here. It reminded her of home.

Seraphim herself she kept her eyes on. She had heard many things about the so-called 'Crimson-Eye'. Some were good, some were bad. But most of all she seemed to be everywhere at once, making friends and enemies wherever she went, much like Sarah herself. Minus the friends part. More than once Sarah considered fighting her, putting her down to rest, but she never really got around to it. Other things came up. And it was exactly because of those other things that she was here today.

"But brings you here, cyclops?" Sarah asked, now branding Seraphim with one of her nicknames. "Besides jumping around like a idiot?"

In one ear and out the other, Sarah's childish insults just went right off Seraphim, having heard it all more than a handful of times, and knowing she didn't need to take this woman's words seriously. Seraphim was older than her, had more experiance, didn't have to use weapons or intimidation to get her job done, and never went as far in cruelty as Sarah did. In Seraphim's mind, Sarah was everything she never wanted to be, and she couldn't help but find herself standing a little higher on the totem pole over Sarah, even if she was hear for a shorter amount of time than this woman.

"That makes two of us." Seraphim said bluntly, having lived in an apartment here on the first floor of it a few blocks down. There was another wrestler who lived her, in fact, actually lived with Seraphim, and that was Tracy Snow, but Seraphim didn't want to her the Kawaii involved in something like this right now, and decided to just say 'two of us' instead. Seraphim was the kind of woman who tried doing things alone, and never stopped, but it seemed like she really had picked up her share of friends along the way. But, not one of them did she want to get involved with business like this...

"It's called Parkour; nothing your used to. Keeps me sharp, much sharper than that lead pipe of yours." Seraphim's tone did carry a hint of pride to it, as if she was saying she had the upper hand in a sense, but she wasn't going to instigate a fight. And as well, she practiced parkour in her own fashion, mixing it slightly with a form of gymnastics, prefering to have it as a hybrid style, just like how she mixed boxing and mauy thai when she fought.

Sarah snorted. "So it has a name," she muttered. "Well, I have my own way of.....keeping sharp." She glanced off back at the alley she had come from. Seraphim couldn't have been trying to be more or arrogant. In many ways, she was like Sarah, but in many ways she was not. Better, worse, such things didn't matter to Sarah. Everyone came out the same way after tangling with her. But that wasn't why she was here. For once in her life she wasn't looking for a fight.

"Let's start with the introductions," Sarah began, and walked a little closer, still keeping hold of the pipe. "I'm Sarah Gatt."

There was a strong hint in Sarah's tone that the one-eyed wrestler caught drift of. The way she said that, the strong grip on the pipe, the subtle glance she gave off behind her; Seraphim was street smart, and she knew that Sarah had just gotten herself into a fight, probably with more than one person. Seraphim was almost curious enough to look, but the last thing she wanted to do was turn her back to Sarah, even if she did try to come off as not desiring a fight. Fat chance.. even the person she trusted the most nearly killed her and a close friend, she wouldn't make any more mistakes... never again.

Then, she introduced herself, only causing Seraphim to roll her crimson eye slightly, her casualness proving that despite the wounds she had on her, Seraphim didn't let it bother her at all. "Yea, I've heard'a ya. Everyone in the league has." She said back with a quarked brow, never dropping her guard, but trying to act casual as she placed a hand on her hip.

"So, what's with you being civil for once? By now I would have thought you would attempt bashing my teeth in with that metal toothpick you have there."

Sarah frowned. Part of her hoped Seraphim hadn't heard of her, it would make this a whole lot easier. Having a reputation could bite you in the ass sometimes. Then again, Sarah would be lying to herself if she said she wasn't happy with it.

"How do you know I'm not a civil person?" Sarah asked mockingly, never one to resist playing with people. "Maybe the me you see in the ring and the me in the real world are-" Sarah suddenly broke out into laughter in mid-sentence, holding her sides as she did. "I couldn't say that with a straight face!" she laughed, wiping a tear from her eye. With that out of the way Sarah sighed. "Okay then. I'm not looking for trouble. In fact, I'm just here to talk." She took the pipe, and then tossed it over her shoulder where it landed on the concrete with a 'clang' .

Seraphim had plenty to say back to that. How wouldn't she know??? Sarah was on the top five list of people she wanted to fight against in the ring, and she knew all about the woman's reputation. Hell, she knew all about how Sarah sent Sharaiya's sister to the hospital, as she had a large fiasco with that a few days back. But before she could say anything, Sarah went into a fit of laughter, causing Serpahim to just roll her single eye, letting out an annoyed sigh. She hated it when people did this kind of thing. ...Even if she was guilty of it herself quite a bit.

"Right... 'talk.' I didn't know you were capable." Seraphim said as she crossed her arms, actually pacing to one end for a moment before she adjusted her eyepatch, slowly uneasing her hands that were once clenched into loose fists and even lowerinf her hoodie to reveal just how long her gentle, snow-white hair was. "It better be worth my time and not some trick. What exactly do you want? Or are you just wanting advice or some bullshit like that?"

"Oh, I'm capable of talking," Sarah assured, responding to Seraphim's rhetorical answer. "Usually my fists do it for me, but I'm capable of a word or two every now and then. But if I ever need advice, I'll take it from someone who's seen life with two eyes." No matter what coversation Sarah found herself in she always managed to fit an insult in, no matter how petty.

"But seriously though," she went on, and grinned her signature dark grin. "You ever heard of a little organization called the Era of Hell?"
