Tiffany Laurence vs. River Styx - True Grit

Styx was hardly what you could call a master of the fine grappling arts or anything. She wa s true brawler, all the way. That being said, however, she wasn’t a complete idiot, either. She could fight with some intelligence instead of just blindly lashing out at everything, when the occasion called for it.

More importantly, she wasn’t so simple that she could get tagged with the same damn attack twice in a row, mere seconds apart. As Tiffany was about to fight.

This time, when the kick came her way, she looked up just in time to jerk to the side and avoid it, letting it pass by and giving a moment to counter any way she chose. And, true to her form, she did so in the most basic, brutal, and effective way possible.

Styx flattened her hand and shot it upwards, targeting Tiffany’s neck with a brutal, vicious throat thrust, really ramming it into the jugular.

The cowgirl had pushed aside her sense of caution, and now she was paying for it. Styx moved aside and countered with a brutal strike into Tiff's throat.

Gagging and coughing, the blonde would stagger backwards a few steps and go down to a knee. Tiffany resolved that she would have to remember that against River, fighting purely based on instinct and emotion can land her in serious trouble....

Styx would give Tiffany one thing: she liked the sounds the blonde made when she was hit in the throat, the way she went down, the look in her eyes. It was very, very cathartic. Like she was back home, getting revenge on all the annoying cowgirl bitches who used to go to her school. With their stupid accents and their dumb boots and their glossy hair.

Speaking of...

Styx stepped forward and grabbed a handful of TIffany’s golden locks, gripping them tight with her vicious fingers, yanking at the roots. She pulled the Texan’s head up for a moment, just long enough for her bring her leg up and ram the point of it right into her nose.

God, she hoped it broke. She so wanted to see some blood in this match, just to inject a taste of hardcore into things. Barely even one match into her non-hardcore era, and she was already longing for the better days.

With a yell of pain, the Texan's head was hauled up as River used her hair as a painful handhold. Then, while she was still coughing from the effects of the former hardcore wrestler's throat punch, Styx's knee slammed into her face, with Tiffany's nose being at the center of the impact!

The blow would send the cowgirl to the mat if River didn't maintain her hold on Tiff's blonde locks. Although it didn't seem like River's blow had the desired effect of shattering the other woman's nose, Tiffany was dimly aware in her daze that blood had begun to run down from it....

As it turned out, Styx did keep a hold of Tiffany’s head after the blow landed. After all, she wanted to get a good view of her handiwork on the Texan.

’Let’s see…” Styx sneered as she yanked the cowgirl’s head up and pulled it back, just enough to see the blood trickling out. It was a little leak compared to the flood she really wanted, but it was better than nothing. ”That’ll do.”

Satisfied, Styx hauled Tiffany up and pulled her to the ropes, maintaining her vicious grip every step of the way. She got a good running start, then tried to throw her furious foe over the top rope, eject her right out of the ring and dump her on the floor.

Weakly, Tiffany struggled against River's grip but she was still stunned from the hard hit to her nose, as well as the vicious throat strike.

Then she was pulled up to her feet, and brought towards the ropes at a run. The Texan gave a yell as she was sent flying over the top rope that ended with a loud cry of pain as she hit the mats that covered the floor. Tiff rolled to a stop on her back looking up at the lights.

*Alright, this is going tits up....* she thought dazedly. *Damned if I'm gonna let this bitch get this best of me in a singles match....get up!*

With that, the cowgirl would rise to her feet shakily, staggering to lean against the guardrail as the ref began counting....

And there Tiffany went, flopping over the top rope and going down to the floor like the trash she was. Beautiful thing. Really.

Styx’s first instinct was to go down to the floor and keep beating Tiffany around the ring, which would’ve been all sorts of fun. She even started to go through the ropes, when the referee’s count stopped her. She kept forgetting that this was a standard match. With rules. Count-outs. She didn’t even have to touch her opponent to win the match.

You know what? She was fine with that.

”Stay the fuck out of my ring, bitch!” She leaned over the ropes and screamed Tiffany’s way, making sure the message was heard loud and clear. Even if the bulk of the audience didn’t understand a word she was saying, she could tell they got the gist from the wave of boos they flung her way.

”Yeah,” She stepped back with her arms wide open, soaking up all the hate. ”Let me hear it bitches, come on.”

It looked like River was content to simply wait things out. Tiffany, for her part, was glad for the brief respite it would give her to recover from the beating and nasty tumble she had taken. She wiped the back of her hand across her upper lip and saw the blood that it left. The sight of it infuriated the cowgirl and she had to restrain herself from turning about and charging back into the ring and into the waiting Styx's grasp.

Wait. Maybe that wasn't as bad of an idea as she first thought. Charging in blindly was bad, but perhaps coming back while pretending to be worse off than she was....that might allow the Texan to strike back against the former contender for the hardcore title....

Finally turning back around at the count of six, Tiffany made her way back towards the ring apron near where River awaited, a step away from the ropes, staggering slightly. She would make the climb up, shaking her head as if she were still dazed from being tossed out of the ring. The blonde would wait, standing on the edge of the ring, hanging onto the top rope, looking to lure a hopefully overconfident and unsuspecting River in close....

Styx was just starting to enjoy the audience’s groans when she caught a few of them cheering on Tiffany. Sure enough, she looked down and saw that the cowgirl hadn’t learned her lesson just yet. She was trying to make her way back in. She was either an idiot or she thought Styx was. Both punishable offences.

”Bitch, you better stay out!” She yelled Tiffany’s way, as she came up on the apron and waited there. ”You better...okay, fuck it.”

Styx rushed in, nearly knocking the referee away as she charged across the ring. She brought her boot up at the last moment and tried kick Tiffany in the head with a big boot, looking to knock her back to the floor. Where she belonged.

As River began her charge, Tiffany had to fight the instinct to simply hop down off the apron. That would just make Styx stop herself short with no ill effects. And Tiffany really wanted her foe to suffer some really ill effects. So she held her ground, until the very last moment.....

Then she spun to the side, the right half of the cowgirl's body hanging off the apron, as Tiffany also pulled down the top rope, letting River's leg pass over it. Then Tiffany yanked up on the rope, snapping it up viscously into the other woman's groin. Not waiting to see how much damage that would inflict on its own, the Texan followed up by swinging her body back around, her arm lashing out to clothesline the brawler back into the ring, hoping that her foe straddling the ropes would add a nasty trip to the blow...
