Tiffany Laurence vs. River Styx - True Grit

Styx suspected that the head on collision would suck. Sure enough, it did - despite her being a bit heavier than Tiffany, the two still collided with a sizeable impact, filling the arena with the sound of smacking flesh. Down the two went, while some smartass in the front row imitated the noise of a car crash. Styx desperately wanted to find and smack this man.

The courageous thing would've been to stay in the ring and trade Tiffany, toe to toe and blow for blow, but no one ever accused Styx of having a surplus of valor.
”Fuck this.” She rolled out of the ring and made her way to the floor, taking a breather. The fans let her know their disapproval of her tactics, and she let them know how little she cared with a middle finger.

"Unngh...damn." Tiffany muttered as she shook her head, clearing it out somewhat.

Not seeing River in thr ring, the Texan got to her feet. That's when she spotted the other woman, resting up. Some people might have been ok with that, and simply have hung out in the ring waiting for River to come back on her own. But not to the angry Tiffany. To her, River was long overdue for a beating.

With that in mind, the cowgirl dropped back down to the mat and rolled under the bottom rope. She would come out of the side of the ring nearest her opponent, striding towards her.

"Hey, bitch, we ain't done yet." Tiffany announced before going to deliver a kick right into River's stomach, looking to double her over. Then would set up the Texan to grab a hold of River's head to guide her back to the ring, attempting to roll her back in under the ropes...

Fuck Tiffany, fuck her stupid outfit, fuck her accent, fuck the hat, fuck standard matches, fuck all of this.

Styx threw her hands up in the air, ignoring the boos and derision from the audience as she started to stomp away from the ring. As if she cared what they thought about her, about giving them a match. Fuck them, too. It wasn’t like this match was going to get her any closer to a belt or a victory or anything. She could take a breather if she felt like it?

Tiffany, it seemed, disagreed.

All the sudden, Tiffany wasn’t in the ring anymore. She was in Styx’s face, she was kicking her in the stomach, she was rolling her back in the ring and breaking the count.

Tiffany wanted this to go down between the ropes? Fine. But Styx would make her pay for it.

The bald brawler stumbled up to her feet as fast as she could, awkwardly getting up, so she’d have the chance to stomp Tiffany in the back when she tried to do the same.

The Texan managed to get River back into the ring, which was good because she wanted to do more than just vent her anger on the other woman. She wanted to walk out with a solid win, something she could point at and say 'I beat you, face to face, one on one.'

However, Tiff wasn't quick enough to get back into the ring before River Styx got back to her feet. The bald battler's boot crashed down on her back with a solid impact, driving the cowgirl down to the canvas with a brief grunt of pain. She would try to return to a standing position, but would be slow to do so, rattled by River's heavy stomp....

”Yeah!” Styx roared as her boot came crashing down into Tiffany’s back, hammering away it. ”Bitch, think you can get the jump on me? Know who the fuck I am?”

This was the whole problem - Tiffany did know. They all knew who she was - Styx was the bitch who’d lost to Adrian Kytes, fighting for the hardcore title. She’d lost the fear. Missed her edge. The only way to get it back was by beating - breaking - challengers until they couldn’t move anymore. This was a good place to start.

”Get up.” She stood over Tiffany’s body and reached down, wrapping her meaty arm around the Texan’s throat from behind. She stood and lifted her along while she did it, trying to choke her out. "Get the fuck up!"

Tiffany gritted her teeth as she heard Styx's voice call out, while her boot stomped down on the Texan's back, driving her into the mat.

"Nnngh!" she grunted before yelling up. "You cunt!"

"Piss off!" Tiff yelled angrily as Styx hauled her up, the other woman's arm snaking around her throat. Her air cut off by the bigger woman, the blonde would try to turn into the hold, looking to put her right side towards River. If she could, then Tiffany would drive her right arm, elbow leading, into Styx's stomach, trying to fight her way free of her opponent.

”Yeah, that’s right, blondie.” Styx poured on the pressure, gripping Tiffany’s neck tight and even giving it a few wrenches for fun. ”Struggle, fight back, just like last time.” She planted her feet wide and hard, riding down the Texan’s struggles. ”Don’t matter. Same thing’s gonna happen, gonna lay you out, just like a little-”

Tiffany’s elbow in her stomach made it hard for Styx to finish her sentence, as it knocked the wind clean out of her. She didn’t let go of the hold, but it lost a lot of its power, and she knew it wouldn’t keep someone like this down for much longer.

She had other options, though, and as she gritted her teeth at the pain in her gut, she went with one of them. Styx abruptly broke the hold, only to use her arms for something more productive. She interlaced her fingers, balled her fists tight, then tried to bring them down into Tiffany’s back with a double axe handle.

"Yeah...how did that feel you-ungh!"
Although she felt her elbow sink into River's stomach, Tiffany didn't have much time to enjoy any satisfaction from delivering the hit. The larger woman struck back, making the Tiffany grunt in pain from a hard blow shot into her back.


Reeling away towards the ropes, Tiffany would turn, putting her back against them. Seeing her foe gritting her teeth, the Texan decided to try and get on the attack. Bouncing from the ropes, Tiff would come at River quickly, lashing out with her right foot, encased in it's heavy western style boot in a running big boot. However, due to River's height, a kick that normally caught most of the other girl's of the roster full in the face would instead attempt to drive into the brawler's chest...

Styx wasn’t much for strategy, but she had one for Tiffany. It was a simple one, but an effective one - she was going to hit her. Then hit her harder. Then, if the stupid cowgirl got up, she would hit her again, until she won.

Of course, that was all contingent on her ability to bring Tiffany down hard. That was currently proving more difficult than she expected.

Styx had just started to charge forward when she ran into the bottom of Tiffany’s foot, crashing straight into her chest and digging in deep. It wasn’t enough to knock her down - few things were - but it did make her stumble back a few steps and clutch her chest.

”Fucking…” She spat to the side, narrowly missing the referee’s shoe.”All this over a goddamn hat. Like I even know where the stupid thing is, anymore.”

"Bitch, as if that hat is the only reason I want to kick the hell outta ya...." Tiffany growled.

However, despite the anger, Tiffany had to admit Styx was definitely solidly built. That same kick had sent many other opponents to the mat in a hard knockdown, but River was only sent reeling back a few steps.

No matter, it just means I get to hit her more than the others! I'm ok with that... she thought to herself, forcing a nagging sense of caution aside in order to keep attacking the object of her anger.

Gritting her teeth, Tiffany would take a few steps back before lunging forward again with a loud yell of effort, trying to score with yet another boot at River's chest!
