A Friendly Challenge

David's response made a small smile grow on Jean's face, his pulse quickened quite unexpectedly. He turned his head to the side to see David still looking at him. "Then it's settled I guess. Let's see where this goes then." he replied, reaching out and touching David's hand. "I hope you know this means I'm not gonna go so easy on you next match" he teased.

Dave chuckled at Jean's response. Glad to see this new stage in their relationship wasn't going to change the dynamic between them competitively.

He felt Jean's surprisingly gentle hand reach out to touch his own and Dave intertwined his fingers with Jean's.

"Glad to hear it. Though I suppose I already know what your intentions are if you win the handcuff match." he smirked.

Jean's fingers laced with David's made him grin. He had come to the AFW to try his hand at being a wrestler, not having expected too much from it. The transition from rock musician to wrestler wasn't exactly a given.

"And I could wager a guess on what yours would be" Jean grinned, fighting back a blush. There was no reason to be embarrassed now that his feelings were out in the open.

Dave chuckled, "Actually I was just gonna have it be a kiss and be done there, but since you were so open about how you are head over heels for me...." he teased with a grin.

Sometimes it was too fun to push at Jean's buttons, though he was just as surprised as Jean probably was about finding love in wrestling.....or was it love? David wasn't sure, but he would find out soon.

"You're hot, can you really blame me for being attracted?" Jean laughed, rolling onto his side and propping his head up on his elbow. "Let's not even get started on the countless times I caught you checking me out during the match and elsewhere! I doubt a kiss is the only thing you'd do, you wear your heart on your sleeve, dude" Jean retorted, giving him a 'mhmmm sureeee' look of disbelief.

Dave snorted, raising his arms in surrender, "Though I doubt your intentions were pure when you suggested the match anyway."

"Plus can you blame me? Your wrestling attire is the definition of 'hot rock star'." he replied, giving a laugh as he sat up.

Jean shrugged when it was suggested that his intentions were less than pure; he would neither confirm nor deny that true statement. "I know, I know, I'm cursed with great fashion sense and devilish good looks, but it's a burden I must bear" he joked, grabbing his discarded towel and standing up. He offered a hand to David as well. "We ought to shower and get cleaned up so someone else can use the room"

David blushed but took the hand, getting to his feet, "Plus me being hot? I doubt that. The geek is NEVER classified as "hot" in any book. My muscles are not even as well defined as yours!"

He laughed, walking over to pick up his discarded shirt and towel, "Anyway, when should we set up the match? Since this is a....."personal feud" between the two of us, I think it should just be you, me, and a ref."

"Muscles aren't everything ya know, personality matters a lot too. Though we can certainly work on getting you some abs like these if you want" Jean joked, patting David's abdominals with a smile. He was serious about the offer though, he didn't mind a bit of personal training with a friend. Or boyfriend. He wasn't really sure what to call them yet.

"If it's just us and a ref, then we can do it anytime, even her at the gym, all we have to do is put in a request to the organizers"

Dave laughed as Jean poked him teasingly in the abs. True he had some mucsles forming, but they were nowhere near as clear cut as Jean's. He mainly focused on getting faster. Hard to hit an opponent when you can't catch them. But Jean was one of the few who could catch him, as the previous match has clearly shown.

"Hey, I'm open to train with you" Dave said with a smile, as the two made their way into the locker rooms, "So then, you wanna submit the request to the higher ups?"
