A Friendly Challenge

Jean held on for a few seconds longer, just in case Dave was playing possum. When he was confident that the other boy was really out, Jean chanced releasing one arm to lift Dave's arm up. It fell back to the mat unceremoniously. After repeating it twice more for the official count, Jean happily declared himself the winner of their friendly competition. He took a moment to take a deep breath now that he could relax, wiping the sweat from his brow as he moved back to sit up with Dave's head still in his lap.

"Hey Dave...." he said, lightly slapping David's cheek. "It's over my friend, you lost~!"

Dave's arm flopped to the ground when Jean dropped it. Dave's abs rose and fell slowly as his head was laid on Jean's lap, his eyes peacefully shut and his lips slightly parted.

He was out like a light, and didn't even feel Jean tapping his cheek.

When Dave didn't respond immediately, Jean got slightly worried. He tapped his face a bit harder now, waiting for a response. Instead all he got was the steady rise and fall of Dave's chest, so at least he was breathing. That alleviated most of the worry right there.

"Man, when you go out, you're really out" Jean laughed to himself, unsure of what he should do. He could hit his face a little bit harder, but then he'd probably feel bad about it. There was always a cold bucket of water, but he didn't want to splash it all over the ring. He settled on pinching Dave's cheek between his thumb and pointer finger pretty good. "Rise and shine, sleepyhead"

Dave groaned as the pain brought him back. His eyelids parted slightly and he could make out the image of Jean smiling over him.

"Ugh...what happened?" he asked, making no effort to move.

"Ahh there we go" Jean grinned, slapping Dave's face lightly to keep him roused. "We were having a match, remember? And I got you in a sleeperhold, and that was the end of it for youuuu" he said smugly, sticking his tongue out and jabbing a finger into one of Dave's pecs.

Dave sighed, a bit disappointed but he smiled up at him, "Congratz man. You won fair and square."

"Yep" Jean affirmed again. Now if he could only repeat this success in the ring he'd be golden. Setting Dave's head down, Jean got up and stepped out of the ring to grab his towel, wiping the sweat from his face and forearms. Grabbing Dave's towel, he hopped back in the ring and tossed it so it'd land on his face.

Jean then leaned back against the ropes, draping his own towel around his neck and shoulders. "1/1, we're even now. You know what that means, right? We have do something fun for the tiebreaker, up the ante a bit, you know?"

"Yeah?" Dave asked, sitting up and wiping himself off, "What did you have in mind?"

"I dunno, we've done a normal match and a submission one, so we should try something else" Jean replied, his hand absentmindedly rubbing sore abs. Dave packed a punch for the unprepared.

"There's lots of different match types out there to try. There's 2 out of 3 falls, tables matches, special rules and stipulations like handcuffs, POW, falls count anywhere, all kinds really. Anything catch your ear?"

"Hmmmmmm. Not really. What kind of matches catch your attention?" he asked, getting gingerly to his feet and moving beside him.
