A Friendly Challenge

Upon arriving to the gym, Jean made his way back to the locker room and put in the combo for his locker. Inside he had an assortment of spare clothes neatly folded and waiting; sleek, form-fitting underarmour style shirts, loose airy t-shirts, wrist sweatbands, and athletic shorts of various colors. Jean changed into one of the loose t-shirts and athletic shorts and put his street clothes away.

After that was done, he peeked around till he found one of the empty practice rings and ushered Dave inside. "Sooo, what kinda rules are we going with? How do you want to lose?" he asked with a grin.

Dave laughed, "Very funny. Well since I am feeling generous, how about YOU choose." he offered, now changed into tight black athletic shorts and a black under armor shirt with red highlights.

"Hmmm" Jean thought while he sat down to stretch out his back and legs. Ideally he should choose something that favored his style and gave him an advantage over David. And since his specialty was grappling and submissions, there really only was one good choice.

"Hmm, what about a submission match? First to tap or be KOed loses?"

Dave thought for a moment before nodding, "Sounds good to me."

"Great, let's start now! Step into the ring....if you dare..." Jean laughed with a purposefully cheesy horror movie voice. He slipped under the top ropes and jumped into the ring, bouncing up and down on his heels.

Dave's heart began to beat a bit quicker as he stepped into the ring, opposite of Jean, "Just so you know, I don't tap out for anyone! You'll have to knock me out if you wanna win." he warned with another wink.

"Don't worry, that won't be a problem. I'll put you out no sweat this time" Jean said as he flashed a toothy smile, stretching his arms out above his head. He had been waiting for a chance to get back at Dave and a new strategy to boot. And the first step was to lure Dave into a false sense of security.

"Let's go big boy, bring it!"

Dave cracked his neck before moving in. Just keep the momentum going, try and wear him down. Dave raised his gloved hands and made his way forward.

Dave raised his gloved hands and started to come forward, but Jean didn't seem fazed. In fact, he looked positively bored until Dave got within a few feet, and then the former rockstar sprung into action. Jean was fast and light on his feed, circling around Dave before darting in close and delivering a nice kick to the side of Dave's abs.

Dave felt the kick and winced from the impact, but he darted forward and lashed out with a kick to Jean's midsection.
