Kyo Akamatsu vs Rebecca Tomoko

"D...dammit..." Kyo's bold cross-body failed spectacularly when the amazon reacted quickly, catching Kyo across the shoulder and leg and holding him sideways in midair. Feeling himself being held up high off the mat by Rebecca's arms, Kyo cursed under his breath and tried to get free, shooting an elbow at Rebecca's back or shoulder, hoping this would loosen her grip. Given the angle of how he was being held, though, his blow might not have been as strong as he liked.

Rebecca grunted as Kyo jammed his elbow back, the big girl staggering but unlike the first time where she had let him slip out of her grasp the amazon held him firmly. Turning around so her back was facing the ropes. This was a noDQ match after all, and they hadn't done anything that they wouldn't have been able to in a normal match. "RRRRRAAAGGH!" She yelled as she threw her entire body backwards, looking to throw Kyo over the top rope and onto whatever landing he had: be it the floor, the ramp, the guard rail or even into the crowd itself!

Rebecca's throw was a powerful one, sending Kyo hurtling backwards like a living missile. Halfway across the ring, his body tilted downwards, causing him to hit the uppermost rope, throat-first. He gagged, the impact nearly choking him, as he bounced off the rope, spinning in midair before landing with a crunch on his back, just a few centimetres shy of the ringside fences. The crowd watched, stunned, as Kyo lay on his back outside the ring, unmoving and breathing only lightly.

It looked like Rebecca, with just a single, powerful throw, had turned the match around.

Rebecca watched Kyo sail backwards into and over the ropes, cursing under her breath. She had hoped to get a cleaner launch than that. A little mis-calculation on her part could have ended the samurai's career. She wanted to beat him up and win, yes, but there was no need for someone to be crippled over this: save that for the people who deserved to be torn limb from limb.

Stepping out and down to the arena floor, the amazon reached down, lightly slapping Kyo's cheeks for signs of life before going for a cover.

A low groan escaped Kyo's lips as Rebecca tapped at his cheeks. By the look of things, his breathing was light, but nonetheless steady: it had been the hard impact with the ring floor that had done all the damage. Kyo Akamatsu was hurt, but thankfully, Rebecca's throw hadn't crippled him, and, if only barely, he was still conscious.

At least I didn't kill him Rebecca thought as she signalled for the referee to slide out and count a pinfall on the outside. Hooking a leg as the ref made her way over to count "One." A test to see if the Samurai still had enough fighting spirit to kick out.

For a moment, Kyo continued to lie motionless as the dark-skinned amazon's body draped across his, hooking one of his legs for the pin. As the ref counted down to one, the crowd watched in eager anticipation. Could Rebecca have actually one-shotted Kyo for the win?

It wasn't until the ref's count reached "Two", however, that Kyo's body jerked, kicking out to break the pin. His chest heaved as he sucked in air, though he still looked quite dizzy from his fall.

Rebecca Tomoko got to her knees as Kyo kicked out, smiling down on her opponent. He still was willing to fight, and capable of surviving at least: now she could feel no guilt for putting that will to the test.

The amazon tried to pick him up off the ground, slipping a arm in between his legs to hoist him up into body slam position before charging forward to ram him spine first into the corner post.

Kyo was still dizzy as Rebecca pulled him back up to his feet, his eyes glassy as he stumbled upwards. His back hurt like hell, and his head still rang a little from the way it had hit the floor. Although he was dimly aware that Rebecca was pulling him up, he couldn't gather the sense of energy or focus to fight back.

As such, he was unable to resist as Rebecca scooped him up sideways into her arms. Reality was brought back into sharp, screaming focus, however, when the amazon rammed him, back-first, into the corner post. A wordless cry of pain left his lips as pain exploded up his spine. His arms went limp as, for a few brief moments, the pain overwhelmed him.

Rebecca's face remained stoic as Kyo's spine slammed into the steel. Rolling the samurai back into the ring before facing the crowd and making a throat slitting motion with her thumb. Kyo Akamatsu had put up one hell of a fight but the way things were going that fight was about to be over very soon.
