Taking out frustrations (open RP/mixed spar challenge)

Max had a small window of ability to gain momentum in this match-up, and he blew it by trying to show compassion for his opponent. A mistake he didn't often make. Now it was going to cost him.

He had only a glimpse of the gasping Makie before he saw the girl turn around and aim a knee at his gut. The impact caused him to bend over, and his own instincts caused him to grab the ropes in front of him, aiming to climb the ropes above them to bring himself slowly to his full-standing position. Of course the time to do this would probably be plenty for Makie to make a move.

Makie watched with satisfaction as her knee strike did its job, sending Max reeling into the ropes. She calmed down a little now, realizing that maybe she had been a little harsh on Max.

"Sorry," she said, "but I don't need you to go easy on me. If I need you to to pause the match, I'll let you know...and the same goes for you." As she spoke, she leaned against Max, grabbing around the back of his silver-haired head. Leaning her slender body back, she suddenly pressed her boots up against his midsection, dropping back to flip Max over her onto his back.

Max understood Makie's words and felt like he understood that maybe his going easier probably insulted her a bit in terms of being a bit sexist. As he felt the back of his head grabbed, he felt himself being pulled in close to Makie. He needed to act fast if he was going to avoid whatever she had planned.

Unfortunately, Max wasn't going to be at full energy when he was brought near, and his attempt to grab at the girl's legs to try and pull them out from underneath them was going to be a matter of how fast he could go in comparison to her attempt to monkey flip him. If he wasn't fast enough, he would be flipped and flat on his back yet again.

Makie was about to execute the monkey flip when she suddenly felt Max's legs grab a hold of her ankles. Surprised, she tried to counter with a punch to Max's forehead, but was too late as her silver-haired opponent pulled on her legs, sending her tumbling off of him onto her back.

"OOOF!" she grunted, her chest heaving as she sucked in air. Although she had been winded, she wasn't out of the fight yet, and wearily, she tried to twist her body to grab onto the ropes.

Max felt the whiff of something around his forehead as he heard the thump of Makie's body hitting the mat. Great! Now to follow up...Crap...

He noticed that the lithe body of Makie's had twisted instinctively to grab onto the ropes. Normally, Max would try and pull her off of the ropes, but he lacked any animosity to that to her during the spar. He would simply pull her out so that he was centered in the ring and let her go, giving him enough space between them for Max to get recovered a bit. "Can't let me get any momentum going edge-wise here...can you?" he would say with a hint of light banter.

Makie made no reply at first, sucking in air as she pulled herself up on the ropes. Grabbing a tight hold of the top rope, she turned to face Max, leaning on the rope for support. Max was putting up a real good fight so far, she thought to herself...and, to his credit, he hadn't once started acting like a roid-raging psycho. Maybe there was some truth to Max's claim that he was alright as long as he was in a match.

"Momentum? You?" She gave him a sly grin. "In your dreams, baka." Pushing off from the ropes, she sprang towards Max, aiming to attack him hard and fast by leaping up to hook her legs around his head, before rotating her lower body to flip him hard to his back in a sunset flip.

Max raised a brow as Makie mocked his words, knowing there was an air of light banter to it all. Needless to say, Max wasn't the quickest in the ring, so when Makie launched at him, Max soon found himself in a similar predicament to what had happened earlier. However, this time he couldn't seem to find his footing as the legs wrapped around his head pulled his body forward and onto his back. "Fuck..." he said out loud in a half-groan as he waited for the room to stop spinning. This was not the position to be in...

Unfortunately for Max, Makie kept her legs locked around his head even as he slammed into the mat. Rotating her body so that she was on her back as well, she locked her ankles in front of Max's chest and leaned back, pressing her palms against the mat as she put her silver-haired opponent into a tight head scissor.

"If you want me to stop, give tap twice if you want a time out," she said, pouring pressure into the scissor. She grinned a little. "Tap once, though, if you're ready to throw in the towel."

Max wiggled side-to-side as he struggled to endure the ever-tighter head-scissor. His hands flew up immediately to the legs that were applying pressure, futilely trying to pry them open. He was trapped, but he didn't want to admit defeat.

Despite everything he had been through thus far in this spar, he didn't want to admit that Makie had gotten the better of him the whole time. The silver-haired warrior didn't want to ask for a time-out either just because his pride told him not to do so. His chest was rising and falling as he struggled to keep a sufficient air-flow going to his lungs, his face starting to turn a bit red. It was obvious that he should have at least tapped for the time out, but his pride just refused him that intelligent decision. All his hands were doing were trying to pry the legs apart in different areas to try and see where the best leverage might be to escape.

Makie grimaced as she felt Max struggling to escape, his probing hands prodding and prying at her knees and thighs as they tried to pull her encircling legs apart. Gritting her teeth, she held on, tightening the pressure: to add to Max's discomfort, she tried to raise her lower body upwards while pressing her palms to the mat, aiming to winch Max's head upwards before slamming him back downwards as she dropped down again.

"Come on! Give up already!" she shouted.
