World Title Semi Final: Tina Armstrong vs Heather Sunderland

"This is it! It's not friction like I wanted but...it's still a world title. Just two matches..that's all I have to win..two matches." Heather would say to herself as she was pacing in a locker room backstage. Every few seconds, she would look at herself in the mirror, seeing her almost bloodshot eyes as she was stressing herself out quite a bit ever since she saw the announcement that she would be fighting for the Tension world title. With all that had happened, it was about time she was given something that made things look up.

"Gonna win it all just for you Clyde. Tension will be ours." Heather would say with a grin as she slipped on her purple dress. Leaving it open, she wore her usual attire, a black bikini top and black baggy pants. Stretching her legs out for a few seconds, she would finally depart from the locker room, taking a deep breath as she walked through the hallways. This was big, very big on quite a few levels. She was finally going to make it to the top. While it may not be the pinnacle, which was what she felt Friction was for female wrestlers, she knew she would be the envy of even the male wrestlers of Tension if she was to grab that brass ring.

"No one's going to stand in my way on my path. No one." She would continue to herself as she made her way through the hallways with determination in her steps. Making it to the curtain area, she would nod to the staff members as they gave her her cue that she would be going out in just a few minutes. Taking another deep breath, Heather would crack her knuckles as she began to hear her music start to play. As the droning intro started and the lights dimmed to an absolute black, a single line echoed throughout the arena

"Another me is what there will never be"

Heather would step out as the lights turned to a dark red tint as green laser lights shot out from the entrance ramp. Met with a chorus of both boos and cheers, Heather would quickly run down to the ring and slide underneath the bottom rope. Putting her hands up in the ring, a jet of pyro would shoot down to the entrance ramp, seemingly exploding into three other green jets of pyro that shot up into the air.

"Perfect..." Heather would say with a big smile as she nodded her head. Taking the time to bask in the audiences reaction, she would let out a long sigh before going to the ropes on the opposite side of the ring and leaning her back against them, staring down at the ramp and awaiting the arrival of her opponent for the night.

Tina Armstrong's heart was racing but she wasn't sure why. It was a big match in a new place, a situation she'd been in before. The Second gen superstar should be used to this situation by now. Starting out as a wrestler, joining the DOA series and recently AFW. She'd been across the world 5 times at the very least, so why was this match making her so nervous?

Maybe it was because it was her first chance for a title since returning, the allure of gold possibly contributing to making her nervous, maybe it was her opponent. Already considered to be in one of the top 10 female wrestlers in the world. "Calm down Tina, think about what you've been through." She whispered to herself. Completing her warm ups and signalling to a few of the tech guys to begin her entrance

The instantly recognizable riff of [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-pbOH0E8Ro:290l9njt]Jimi Hendrix's Voodoo Child[/url:290l9njt] echoed throughout the arena, the crowd instantly switching from their mixed reaction to Focus on Tina, standing at the top of the ramp, dressed in black trunks and top with a white jacket and boots. Giving an appreciative nod to the crowd she headed directly for the ring. Taking the time to showboat in the opposite corner to Heather. Moving her hands across her waist as she stepped onto the top rope, showing her intentions to get her first title since her long absence.

Her eyes eventually settled on Heather, the black garbed opponent, leaning in the corner. Tina wasn't sure what to make of her, how good she was she couldn't really tell from a glance, she thought her first opponent would be a walkover and that had almost cost her the match. Best to take her seriously from the get go she thought as she waited for the match to start.

"Hmph." Heather would let out as she heard the opening riff of Tina's theme. Just as everyone in the crowd no doubt did, she knew the song quite well, but not the girl that it was attributed to. While Tina certainly had some backing, doing all that she did, Heather was definitely out of the loop when it came to that. In the wrestling world, her status and the people she had to get ahead of in AFW was all that she knew. If it was anyone else, they would probably recognize the girl just as she stepped out onto the entrance ramp.

Heather would watch as she girl showboated a bit, signaling her intentions to be wearing the belt around her waist. Heather would simply shake her head as she remained leaning back. As far as she was concerned, this was her's to take and Tina was just in the way of her goal. Stretching out her arms and legs again, Heather would take a step forward as she looked over her opponent.

The girl was taller than her, and she looked pretty fit and ready. It was clear she was experienced just by the look of her body, but Heather wasn't going to let that phase her. Clearing her through, she would cross her arms under her breasts, staring towards Tina.

"Hope you prepared yourself stepping into the ring with me. I'll do anything to move onto the finals and you're just standing in my way to getting there." Heather would say with a confident, almost cocky grin as she would keep her arms crossed, looking to hear the girl's response to her opening words.

Tina took a step towards her, finishing off a bit of last minute stretches herself before thinking a little about what she said "I'm in your way?" She repeated, "I've heard that so many times that it's become a cliche." She chuckled to herself, in previous tournements, a lot of people did say that to her, so it was kind of funny. One thing hadn't changed in her absence.

"I've had bigger and meaner people say that to me, and they all ended up begging for mercy. What makes you think that you'll be any different?" She asked back, dropping into a grappling stance and trying to initiate a quick collar and elbow tie-up to start things off, get a feel for her strengths.

"A cliche huh? Well you can take to heart that what I'm saying now is no cliche." Heather would say with a slight cocky grin on her face. The girl's response to what she said did aggravate her inside just a bit as she knew that it was probably a common thing to say in a time like this. However, being how she is, Heather thought to herself that her saying the words made it different from anyone else.

"Well there's your problem right there. They must have had all that size weighing them down if that's the case. What makes me think I'll be different? Why don't I just show you exactly why." Heather would say as the bell would ring, signifying the beginning of their match. While Heather knew before from the sight of her that she must be experienced, the tone in her voice and what she spoke of showed that even more. Heather had to get by that and show her she's met her match.

She would watch as Tina got into the grappling stance, looking for a collar and elbow tie-up with her. Heather would go in for it, making it seem like she was going to accept her way of starting the match like that. However, just as she got into almost touching contact with the girl, Heather would leap up, attempting to quickly use Tina's thigh for leverage and trying to hit her with a stepladder enziguri.

"Gah!" Tina let out as Heather out maneuvered her, the Tension veteran's foot smashing into her temple, driving her to her knees while she was dazed. Miss Sunderland was obviously fast as hell and she'd have to adjust for that. Once her head stopped spinning and the bells in her ears shut up.

Feeling her foot collide with Tina's head with the enziguri, Heather would quickly rebalance herself as she landed on the ground, scurrying to her feet immediately afterwards. She had to keep on the girl, use her quickness to her advantage and take it to her early on in the fight before she would go to using her big moves against her.

Bracing herself, Heather would quickly run back up to the girl, attempting to lock her arm around her head. From there she would swing her leg back before bringing it forward, trying to use the momentum to perform a vicious DDT on Tina.

Tina had enough experience to know she was in a bad position from the start, and when Heather grabbed her head and pulled it under her arm it was only going to get worse if she didn't do something. She couldn't counter a big move but what she could do was try and grab Heather's legs when she tried to pull them back, holding her fast while she struggled to her feet.

Starting off well, Heather felt as if she could just keep the moves coming, lay on as much as she could on Tina right from the start and take her down piece by piece. The DDT was going to be devastation and she would just quickly follow up after that. Heather's confidence had already skyrocketed as she would wrap her arm around Tina's head. However, just as she as about to put the move into place, she would feel herself stop.

"Eh-what??" Heather would let out as she would look down and see Tina grabbing both her legs. Heather would click her tongue and immediately begin to try and free her legs as Tina went to stand up. "Let go! Damn!"

"Keep still dammit." Tina hissed out as Heather struggled, she'd already taken one blow to the head today and didn't fancy another. As her sense returned to her she tried to lift up the high-flyer despite her struggles, then spin her victim's legs around to shake her loose before dropping her to the floor, hopefully getting her some breathing room.
