Makie Akamatsu vs Midori Himeno

Stars exploded across Makie's vision as her face collided with the ring. She went still again, moaning softly as she lay face-down on the mat, left leg rising and falling weakly in an involuntary reflex. Her entire body was in a world of pain right now, and even though she had no intention of giving up, she didn't know how much longer she could last.

It was then that Midori was deciding that perhaps was the time mto put the exclamation mark. She knelt there and drew her thumb across her throat three times really fast to signal to the crowd she was ready to end this.

She would then go to sit on Makie's back as she lay there, reach down for one of those long slender legs and then start to pull back hard on that one leg in her extremely torturous single leg boston crab submission finisher known as the Dragon Crippler. Would Makie's poor leg be able to withstand this?

Makie felt pain lance through her spine, lower back and knee as Midori suddenly bent her leg back, pulling her heel sharply to execute a painful boston crab. The tomboy howled in pain as her leg was stretched cruelly, and for a while, all she could do was lie with her face against the mat, unable to counter. Then, abruptly, she stopped screaming, clenching her teeth to deny any further sound from coming out. Digging her fingers and elbows into the mat, she tried to drag herself towards the ropes, even as her body was bent painfully.

Midori felt Makie squirm underneath her and this would just force her to hug that naked leg tighter to her. Makie's ankle was tucked under Midori's armpit while her other hand gripped the front of Makie's thigh to cinch the hold in good. That one leg of Makie practically belonged to Midori Himeno now and it was that one leg against Midori's all powerful upper body strength.

If Midori had been a sadistic heel monster she might be tempted to start pulling back even further and snapping Makie's leg out of its socket by the hip but she might be willing to slowly ease back a bit as if to give Makie that nightmarish impression.

At the same time, Midori's heavily muscled body sitting on top of Makie's slight frame would probably make it impossible for Makie to crawl much firther much less hope to cover enough ground to reach the ropes.

Makie had actually been making some progress until she felt Midori's heavier frame sit down on her. "NOOOO!" she swore, feeling the grip on her leg tighten. She tried to pull herself forward some more, but with Midori sitting on her, she couldn't get any further-- she was trapped in the middle of the ring, with Midori wrenching back further and further on her leg. Her hips, knee and spine all felt like they were on fire, and she felt hot tears of pain welling up in her eyes.

She hid them, dropping her head down to press her forehead against the mat. I won't give up, I won't give up, I won't give up...

In the stands, Toshio, despite himself, was now shouting encouragements to Makie. "Makie, keep crawling!" he shouted. "You have to make it to the ropes, its your only chance! KEEP CRAWLING!"

"She needs to give up," Kyo said suddenly.

Toshio whirled around on his brother. "WHAT?" he shouted incredulously.

Kyo's normally impassive face looked on the verge of tears as he gestured to the ring. "Look," he said. "Her opponent is making she sure can't move. Makie won't make it to the ropes unless her opponent lets her, and that's unlikely. If she doesn't give up now, she could damage her back beyond recovery."

For a moment, Toshio looked like he was going to punch his brother. Biting his lower lip, he turned back to the ring and continued to shout encouragements to Makie.

MIdori maintained the grip on Makie's leg, not letting up. She looked back a bit in the direction of Makie's head imagining the grief and heartache she must be goign through. She had to respect the kid's guts and was loathe to hurt her but she had a match to win and the feeling of makie's leg within her grip like this gave her enough of a euphoric feel for power that she did not feel like letting go until the submission occured.

Come on, kid. I don't want to hurt you. You have so much potential and you can live to fight another day.

Out loud she turned her head back in the other direction, hearing the roar of the crowd egging Midori on to crush the girl's spirit. She leaned back a little further so that she started to look up at lights on ceiling and would put even more torque and pressure on that leg.

"Tap! Tappppppppp!!!!"

Makie gritted her teeth and shook her head, sweat streaming down her face as Midori worked her over. Her free leg kicked ineffectually at the mat, and she was breathing heavily as she pawed at the mat, digging her elbows into its surface, and trying for one, last push towards the ropes. Every part of her back and leg were in unbearable pain, and her back felt like it was going to snap any minute now.

I won't give up, I won't give up.. Even as she thought these words over and over, she knew she couldn't last much longer...

Kept pulling back harder.

"Don't be stupid! I don't want to break your fucking leg off!"

Makie screamed as Midori wrenched back tighter on her leg. Her efforts to crawl further to the ropes proved useless-- all she could do was paw futiley at the mat. Breathing heavily, she buried her face against the mat, trying to fight the pain as best she could. She knew that she was fighting a losing battle.

The pain intensified, feeling like hot knives jabbing into her spine and knee. She heard something cracking, and prayed that it was her imagination. Hot tears mingled with the sweat on her face, and she knew that she simply couldn't take any more.

Weakly, she slapped her hand against the mat, signalling her surrender.

MIdori let go almost in relief and fell forward and hands and knees, sweating on the mat and trying to calm herself down.

Eventually the ref came over to help her up and holds her hand up. Midori was not really exhausted from the match more, more the fact of the knowledge that she almost seriously injured her opponent.

She eyed Makie warily as her hand was held up in victory.
