Makie Akamatsu vs Yoko Honda (Complete)
The crowd cheereed as Makie Akamatsu's music began to play. A few seconds later, the girl herself stepped into the ring, wearing her standard white two-piece outfit. The tomboy gave an enthusiastic cheer, raising her arm to the cheering crowd.
Ever since her successful match against Makoto Aihara, Makie had been feeling much more confident, about herself and about her ability as a wrestler. She had Midori Himeno to thank for that-- her former opponent had not only trained her to become better, but had also taught her how to better overcome her defeat. Not that her brothers were any less responsible, mind you-- she wouldn't be where she was without Kyo and Toshio there to show her the ropes from the beginning.
Smiling, Makie ran down the aisle, extending her arm to hi-five her fans as she ran past. Reaching the ring, she slid through the ropes and hopped into the ring.
She still had no idea who she was facing, though, other than that it was at least another girl. Komatsu, the liason sent by her father, had told her that it was very important that she fight this girl, stating that her family's honour depended on it. When Makie had asked him why, however, Komatsu had only told her that Makie had to fight this girl "because she had issues with fighting Kyo or Toshio instead." Although Makie respected her brothers immensely, it felt odd and a little insulting that she was fighting someone who her family had originally wanted one her brothers to fight. Then again, given how new her ring career was compared to either of theirs, she supposed she shouldn't be mad.
Still...who is she? Makie wondered to herself. Did she do something to insult my family? Or is it something her parents did? Makie sighed. One of the drawbacks to being born into a samurai family was inheriting all of your ancestors' baggage, including feuds and oaths that you never wanted.
With a shrug, Makie stretched her arms, waiting for the mystery girl to show up.

Re: Makie Akamatsu vs Yoko Honda
Makie wouldn't be waiting very long at all for her 'mystery girl' to appear. Within moments, Makie's entrance music would be replaced, and a blue haired woman, dressed in a blue, two-piece outfit of her own, would appear atop the entrance ramp. She went into a quick pose, leaning back and letting out what sounded like a loud, long wolf's howl, before straightening back up and looking down to the ring. She started down the ramp, her sharp eyes focused on Makie the entire time, as if she knew exactly who she was, and seemed extremely eager to fight her.
As the blue haired woman started down the ramp, a second woman appeared, quickly moving to follow her. This woman, a long haired brunette with glasses, was holding a microphone, and as the two entered the ring, she stayed back, near the ropes, as the first walked right up to Makie, grinning wider now as she was here with her opponent. She stared at Makie for a moment, standing eye to eye with her, then began to rattle off a few long statements in Japanese. Once she was finished, the second woman sighed, almost as if she was bored already, then lifted her microphone to her lips, giving everyone in the arena a translation for the blue-haired woman's words.
"Miss Honda would like to express how excited she is to be fighting you, Miss Akamatsu. She says she's been watching you for a while, and will try to set aside the differences between her family and yours as she crushes you and picks up her debut win tonight."
Yoko grinned again as the brunette stopped, saying a few more words before going to lightly shove Makie back.
"She also says, she will try not to go too easily on you tonight, as though she doesn't want to make you look too bad, she is not wanting to hold back too much here during her debut."

Re: Makie Akamatsu vs Yoko Honda
The woman's words sank deeply, causing Makie's eyes to widen. Honda? She remembered that her father had once been defeated in the ring by a Hitoshi Honda, one of the rare defeats he had suffered in his wrestling career and, the way her father told it, one of the most thorough. Before that, her grandfather had apparently had a brief kendo rivalry with a man named Honda, and her mother had had a couple of evenly-fought judo matches against someone else named Honda. Holy crap...I've become part of a family feud!
So this was why Kyo had originally been selected to fight this woman, she realized. As the eldest, it would have been expected of him to fight this girl for the sake of family honour. But because...whatsername...Yoko had declined to fight Kyo...for some reason...now she would have to fight her instead. She broke into a sweat. This was too much: she had come to AFW to make a name for herself, not get caught up in family feuds!
Her brief moment of uncertainty, however, ended when the blue-haired woman gave her a light shove. ""She also says, she will try not to go too easily on you tonight," the woman with the microphone said, "as though she doesn't want to make you look too bad, she is not wanting to hold back too much here during her debut."
Her face went red with anger at this statement. Without hesitation, she snatched the microphone from the brunette woman.
"Does your boss lady hire you to do all the trash talking for her? If she wants to challenge me, she can do it directly, without some walking mouthpiece!" As if to reinforce her point, she shoved the lady aside and moved forward towards Yoko, glaring at her until they were almost chest to chest. Now it was Makie's turn to shove at Yoko. "I'll take you on here and now, Honda. If you want a match, then you have it. Or do you do all your fighting through your valet as well?"

Re: Makie Akamatsu vs Yoko Honda
The brunette woman, Kameyo, sighed as Makie stormed past her. Without another word, she adjusted her glasses and turned away, going to slip out of the ring. She knew what was about to happen, and didn't want to be in the middle when it did.
Yoko on the other hand, still wore her grin, even as Makie shoved her back. She tooked a few steps back as the girl did so, then stomped right back up to her, going to shove her even more roughly than before!

Re: Makie Akamatsu vs Yoko Honda
Makie was wide-eyed as Yoko shoved her. The move sent her staggering back, almost losing her balance. Yoko was taller than her, and certainly used her strength to her advantage even with that light shove. Even so, it was enough to almost set Makie off.
Stomping back up to Yoko, she shoved her back even harder. A second later, however, the ref girl was between them, yelling at them both to back away from each other and wait for the bell. The last thing she needed was a brawl in the middle of the ring before the match had even begun.

Re: Makie Akamatsu vs Yoko Honda
As the ref split the two of them up, Yoko pushed against her, never taking her eyes off Makie, eager to get her hands on the girl as soon as possible.
Eventually though, after the ref started to yell at her in particular, she would finally back away, giving Makie another grin as she headed to her corner and waited for the bell to ring.

Re: Makie Akamatsu vs Yoko Honda
Makie was still glaring at Yoko as she reluctantly made her way to her corner. The way Yoko was grinning at her, in particular, made her the angriest of all. She reminded her way too much of Makoto Aihara and the way she'd attacked her after the match. She was going to...
She calmed down, remembering what Kyo and Midori had taught her. Stay focused on the match. If you get riled or upset, then you've already lost. Taking a deep breath, she calmed down, focusing on the match and on winning it.
The bell rang, and she sprang out of her corner, eying Yoko carefully as she began to circle her...

Re: Makie Akamatsu vs Yoko Honda
Yoko moved towards Makie as the bell rang, but she wasn't interested in just circling around her opponent. As soon as she sprang in towards Makie, she would go to throw a quick, sudden right hook towards the woman's jaw, wanting to get this match started now!

Re: Makie Akamatsu vs Yoko Honda
Makie had been watching Yoko carefully as she moved, just as Kyo, Toshio and Midori had taught her. Even no, the suddenness of Yoko's movements almost caught her off guard. Gasping in surprise, she twisted her heels, spinning aside to avoid Yoko's fist, feeling the other girl's knuckles brush against her cheek as her fist whistled pass.
Then her training took over, and she spun further, dropping low to send a kick into Yoko's back.

Re: Makie Akamatsu vs Yoko Honda
Makie spun out of the way, and Yoko went shuffling forward past her. The blue haired woman was not without her own training though, and as Makie's leg shot up at her, she made a quick movement to the side, so that Makie's leg would miss her, and would try to catch it as it came up at up, looking back at Makie with another grin if she was able to do so.
