Family Matters

"Bring it on, I'm eager to see the level of AFW's best...even if she is functioning at only half power." That last bit was her attempt at a joke regarding the fact that Makie was a tag fighter without her partner. So Rebecca slipped off her baggy Tee to get ready for action, her blood red sportsbra now visible as she stepped into the ring and threw the dummy out to make room. "Alright, whenever you are ready."

Makie's face reddened a little at the "only at half power" comment, but she took it in stride. She had a witty retort line up, but she quickly lost it as Rebecca slid her t-shirt off, revealing more of the finely toned upper body beneath. The Frenchwoman was definitely easy on the eyes, though Makie was hardly going to let that distract her in this spar.

"I'm always ready," she replied with a grin as she circled Rebecca, raising her hands for a lockup. After a few seconds, she would then dart in, aiming to tie up aggresively with the other girl to see just how strong she was!

Rebecca always thought she was a rather plain looking woman so she never quite got why she had the effect of making people speechless. She knew people considered her gorgeous, she just never understood why. But if Makie wanted to see her strength, she would show her.

Catching hold of the proffered hands she gave a shove, perhaps a little too forcefully in her excitement but her goal to back the other girl into the corner before trapping her there and going for a few shoulder thrusts into the hirls midriff.

A few doors down Shad was just returning from the vending machine with a fresh bottle of water in his hands. He had a few moments rest but knew he probably had at most a hour left in him before he was to tired to make training effective. As he got close to the gym doors he heard the distinctive sound of his wife engaging in combat. "Dear me, what has my lovely kitten gotten herself into now?"

Rebecca was quick to accept the lockup, and came at Makie aggressively. More aggressively than Makie had expected, in fact: in an instant, she found herself being shoved backwards as Rebecca shoved hard at her, and to her surprise, she quickly found herself pinned against the corner post.

And then, a second later, Rebecca dropped low and rammed a shoulder into Makie's midriff. The Japanese girl gasped, in surprise as much as pain, and doubled over, breathing hard. Rebecca was being far more aggressive than Makie had expected for a simple spar...not that she was complaining, of course.

"Not...a bad...start..." she wheezed, not noticing the newcomer to the room.

Rebecca gave a little smirk as she backed off from the other. "Sorry, it's just even fir a spar, I never give anything less than my best." She would attempt to grab the winded Makie and lift her to her feet before scooping her up for a powerslam, driving Makie's back into the mat hard.

"Dear me Rebecca, truly I can not leave you alone for 10 minutes with you getting into a fight. At least your opponent is cute, wonder how she sounds when bent in half over your shoulders?" Shad muttered all this to himself as he sat on the bench and opened his own water to take a drink before watching his wife at work. Although her opponent did look a little familiar...he could not quite remember why though

Rebecca had demonstrated that she wasn't going to hold back even for a simple spar, and her next move reinforced this notion: she winced as the French girl grabbed her by the hair, pulling her to the hair while she was still breathing hard from that spear to the midriff...and the next thing she knew, Rebecca was scooping her up, before slamming her hard down to the mat again.

Pain shot up Makie's back, and she gasped in pain, arching off the mat before rolling sideways, stunned by Rebecca's strong start to this match.

Rebecca wondered for just a moment if she was being too harsh for a simple spar like this. She had never been good at holding back...ever, and the fact that her opponent held a title only reinforced this by her wanting to show off her own skills.

Now that the wind hand been knocked out of Makie, Rebecca decided to try and go for a quick win, laying herself over top of her opponent to pin her down (although without a ref it was more symbolic that anything.)

Makie's back was throbbing after that slam to the mat. Gritting her teeth, she tried to roll away, to put some distance between herself and the Frenchwoman. Rebecca, however, moved quickly, rolling down to lie against her, covering her for the pin. Makie gasped as, for a brief moment, felt the urge to try to kick out...that was, until she remembered the rules of their little spar.

Gritting her teeth, Makie arched up, thrusting her chest up against Rebecca in an effort to throw her opponent off of her! She had gotten off to a bad start in the spar so far, and wasn't about to look bad in front of the new girl.

Rebecca obligingly rolled off Makie, grinning as she did. She was having fun, always did when fighting a new opponent. So when Makie powered out of the pin, Rebecca simply let her up? Backing off to the corner. She had shown this champ what she could do, now she wanted to see what the champ could do. "Question for you. If you are the tag champ...where is the other half?"

The way this spar was going, Makie expected Rebecca to follow up aggressively, to try to go for a submission hold, or keep beating on her, or something like that...but instead the redhead simply laughed and moved back to the center of the ring. Red-faced and conscious that she was being shown up by a new girl, Makie quickly rolled up to her feet, trying to hide her embarassment.

"The other half? You mean my brother Kyo? Probably somewhere else on the grounds right now," she said, absent-mindedly rubbing her back. She took a moment to glare at Shad, having noticed the way he had been watching and enjoying the fight. "Not that I'll need his help at all to mop the mat with you, if that's what you were wondering."
