Lucy Grange vs Lita - The Reckoning

The bell had clanged the moment the pin was finished! The crowd was abuzz with questions, even as the stranger took the 24/7 title belt for themselves and stood above Lita's downed form. VERY slowly, they removed the mask, and an INSTANTLY recognizable face greeted the crowd! It was the former 24/7 Champion David Blake! But he had vanished from AFW YEARS AGO! What was he doing back here?!

"Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit!" the crowd called, with a few mixed cries and boos from fans of the match. Dave looked down at Lita, heaving a sigh at what he had to do...to get the title that he never lost. Never pinned for it...never tapped. For all intents and purposes, that belt still belonged to him.

Slinging the belt over his shoulder, Dave rolled out of the ring, backing up the ramp as he kept his eyes FIRMLY on the two combatants in the ring. If anyone was expecting answers...well.....they weren't getting them anytime soon!

Lina wasn't sure who David Blake was other than a guy who just stole Lita's thunder, legally, but still was a buzzkill. Lina watched David roll out and head up the runway. Part of her wanted see if she could get the belt back for Lita. If all it took for David to win it was what he did surely she could get a lucky shot in, but she looked back at the ring and knew she had a responsibility with the match that is, or was, happening.

Entering the ring she asked the ref of the match taking place what's happening. The second ref who came down technically is no longer needed, but the two officials talk it off. No bell was called for when David hit the ring and Lita, though an argument could be made for both competitors. Technically Lita could be awarded the decision by disqualification, however Lina feels that would be unfair to Lucy, even if she is being a prick. As Lita begins to pull herself up, the second ref notices and tells Lucy to keep back a moment. Lina gives Lita the 4-1-1 on the situation as the match official informs the ring announcer that Lita will be given a 1 minute rest period before the match continues.

Lita finds out what happened and disappointed, still feeling the effects of David's sudden return. Lina steps back down to the floor when told to do so as Lita made use of the time she had to recover and regroup for when the referee would give the signal to continue.

It all happened so fast. Before long Lucy was being put in a tight submission hold and was thinking about the ways she could rip Lita apart as payback, then suddenly she was freed and in the scramble Ms Grange had shuffled and crawled her way to a nearby corner. She was about to try and rally back and spew some curse words at Lita when before she knew it some ninja guy had come in and ran rough shod on Lita and pinned her, in that brief moment Lucy had forgotten about the 24/7 title. 

And it seemed that someone had cashed it in, the guy unmasked and.........wait. Wasn't that guy one of John's pals? That comic book guy or whatever he was called, Ms Grange didn't really give a shit though. All that mattered to her was being able to take a pause there. And plan. Already the herald of destruction was thinking of ways she could try and break her opponent, 

Lucy wouldn't wait for too long though, the ref might have been preoccupied with checking on Lita but Lucy had other plans. The Herald would quickly hop on the balls of her feet before bursting into a sprint and trying to jump up and smash her knees right into Lita's jaw to send her newly former champion of an opponent for a loop!

Despite time being granted, Lita didn't get more than a few seconds as Lucy rushed in and tagged her up high with both knees, sending her back towards the corner. If not for her arms hooking on to the upper rope she would smacked against the corner buckles and fell on her butt, instead she did drop but and was dangling.

"Oh come on!" Lina shouted at both Lucy and the referee, mostly towards Lita's opponent.

Lucy was known even before her heel turn to be a total hellion in the ring, she'd take to her opponent with reckless abandon and swiftness. Lita wasn't getting any space here now that the Herald of Destruction smelled proverbial blood, Lucy grinned ear to ear as her knees found their mark and struck Lita down like a sword blade across the face. There wasn't a reprieve to be found here now........

Ms Grange darkly chuckled after landing from her attack, taking a moment to admire her handiwork there. She always got a kick out of leaving an opponent broken down a peg or two, it seemed that Lita was getting shuffled towards the corner. Slowly the Herald of Destruction would rise up and then lunge at her opponent while saying "Oh you know just how to set me up for more~"


Then Lucy would try to jump upon and atop Lita, where she then grabbed the top rope and wasted no time in trying to stomp a mudhole right in her opponent. Lucy would grind in her foot on the chest a bit and gave a hiss of pleasure at just being able to let loose and tear it up here! (And also tear someone apart~)

Thankfully, the ref did agree with Lina's grievance and physically pulled Lucy away from her opponent, who was not looking so great at the moment. It appeared he was instructing Lucy to give Lita a few seconds as told a moment ago, though Lita pulled herself up and gave a few quick shadow punches as if to say she was ready to go, only to front flop back to the canvas in front of Lucy.

Lina's eyes widen at the sight, not noticing nor caring that was the only break Lita would get with Lita letting out a groan as the ref signaled for the bout to continue.

Well Lucy was nothing if not a mean bottle of vinegar, she had issues and kicking Lita in there was making to serve as a good feeling of catharsis. Still it was only a matter of time before the ref got involved, Lucy didn't put up a struggle there once the ref got got a hold of her. Lucy couldn't help but bare a slight malicious smirk at her handiwork. Still Lita was tough even with the length of the match having happened.......

"Tch." Lucy muttered to herself, stomping the ground in light annoyance, it was time to try and deliver a decisive blow and try to put Lita away. Gritting her teeth once the ref gave the all clear Lucy would attempt to sprint at Lita and attempt a rolling forward koppu kick!

Shaking off her reaction to the recent chain of events, Lina tried to calm herself knowing Lita's been in worse situations than this and usually comes out fine. Seeing her begin to push herself up from the front flop did give Lina some relief, which was lost just as quickly however as Lita was taken back down shortly after regaining her footing by a koppu kick.

Resisting the urg to strike the apron or the nearby ring post in frustration, Lina gripped the bottom rope tightly and called out "C'mon Lita, you're better than this!" She ended up doing so to the edge part of the ring close to in her and clap a bit, turning to the fans behind her momentarly in attempt to get them going to help a rally going.

The crowd gave a loud yelp of shock as Lucy's koppu kick connected there and the unmistakeable sound of Lucy's leg hitting into Lita's noggin was all too clear, the blonde then casually sat upright and took the chance to admire her handiwork there. A kick that would make even Eliza Harenwood herself envious.

Then giving a sneering smirk Lucy would then just simply stand upright and start to grind Lita's face into the mat with her right leg, the Brit was clearly a sadist now that she split from her brother. Lucy was letting her cravings get the better of her there, her guard was wide open there as she focused entirely on making sure Lita knew her place~
