Dark Reign: A Snake Enters the Garden

Berenice grinned wide, baring her teeth at the man. She dodged the wild blows, struggling now with her damaged leg and fired a flurry of fists at his helmet, dodging back every so often when a punch came her way. She would crack open that shell of his ,and rip his throat from his still breathing body for harming Amber. "I'll make you regret touching her you monster" she growled after stepping back and starting to circle him.

Suddenly she'd dart forwards, thrusting a knee at his ribs and looking to bring an elbow down onto the helmet, hoping to shatter it and bring out whatever ugly mug lay beneath.

The blows that rang off Ruvik’s helmet were like rainfall: constant and erratic. It was hard to keep track of where each swing was coming from. Part of it was the anger that continued to inflame his blood and dull his mind, the other part was due to Berenice’s equally chaotic pattern. The dye-job was just swinging away almost as haphazardly as Ruvik was! She seemed to have targeted his helmet of all places. An odd choice, but a personally effective one. Whether she knew it or not, Ruvik had grown terrified of head trauma from an early age. The crack in his helmet’s visor was unsettling even through his anger. It was a sliver of the outside world clawing its way in! The danger of the unknown trying to pull him out of his armored shell!

But it was soon becoming clear that Berenice likely wasn’t thinking too much. Ruvik was starting to see her knuckles get cut and scraped from smacking the cracked reinforced plastic! While it wasn’t as though she were punching a wall, the jagged and pointed parts of the helmet were all still there, each one leaving their marks in one form or another. If bothered to pay attention, Ruvik would notice bloody knuckle imprints on the remainder of his steadily scracking visor!

When Berenice moved to drive a knee into his ribs, Ruvik instead tackled the woman to the floor! Her elbow dug right in the crook of his shoulder and neck! Sending a powerful and uncomfortable sensation throughout his body! But he also felt a different sensation…

Fresh air!

Part of the helmet had finally cracked away to reveal one of his tired, ugly eyes to the world. The realization made it grow wide with an almost animalistic look! Hate, fear, all sorts of primal emotions flashed in that sleep deprived orb as it began to flick around, as though looking for something that was not there!

The sounds of the theme park, carnival, wherever the hell this place was! It all mixed together! Laura had expected a relatively easy grab and go sort of job! Instead, she was playing hide and seek with some goody goody who didn’t have the decency to give up! The only good thing was that the girl was stupid enough to be predictable. She had ran out into the parking lot, which would make spotting her much easier than if she had stayed in the crowded park! Less witnesses too!

It wasn’t long before Laura could already see the girl’s green hair running down a line of cars, bringing a malevolent smile to her face.

“Hey girlie! Where are you heading off to?”

Amber darted around the corner, Laura already maneuvering around the car maze in order to cut her off!

“Trying to get back to your car? Silly thing~ You don’t have the keys! What are you going to do?”

Laura was close enough to hear the girls panicked footsteps! She was even starting to hear her pathetic sniveling, as though she had been crying! Well, that would just make her all the easier to grab! The little sister traced Amber’s steps, getting subtly closer with every passing car until…

“Gotcha!”

The woman popped out and grabbed the girls shoulders! A sinister sneer on Laura’s face as she finally caught her quarry!

“Now, you’re going to be a god little girl, aren’t cha? Because the people who want you never said they wanted  you in mint condition! Understand?”

Amber was in a panic, like a deer caught by wolves with no where to go. As she was starting to turn, she suddenly felt herself grabbed by her shoulders and she was slammed against a car with a grunt of pain being the only thing she could muster before she looked up in horror to see the brute’s sister pinning her against her car. She started to struggle, wanting to fight back against this girl, but suddenly stopped when the woman mentioned “mint condition.” She stared at her, her eyes full of terror before she finally worked up the courage to speak, “W...what are you going to do to me...?” she asked softly. She hadn’t done anything to anyone, now all of a sudden people wanted her? Amber didn’t understand what was going on or why this was happening to her as she just stared at the girl, searching her face for answers.

Laura didn’t mind being rough with Amber. The little creep had already made her run around the park just to catch her, so shoving her against the nearby car helped her vent a little of her frustration. Why it was taking Ruvik so damn long just to take care of some dyed out punk was something Laura couldn’t understand. Just how useless was he? This would be so much easier if he were the one here to hold this girl down, but at least the scared look on her face was nice to look at. These girls nowadays were always so bitchy and stupid! It was about time Laura got to show one up and prove who the superior, classy lady was!

Adjusting her grip to grab ahold of Amber’s wrists, Laura would pin the girl to the car in a manner that gave her a bit more control over her victim. The spoiled girl smiled at Amber’s weakness, but her eyes were weary of any tricks the little Irish girl might try to pull. She wasn’t so foolish as to think Amber was completely helpless.

“If you do what I tell you, then you won’t have to worry about it, will you? But I have a short fuse! I’m not going to be patient with you, so if I even think you’re gonna try and screw things up for me, I’ll make sure you regret it for your short, miserable little life!”

Pulling Amber off the car, Laura would throw the green haired girl to the floor, kicking her in the side with a smile practically splitting her face.

“Now get moving! My ride is just on the other side of the parking lot! Faster you get in, the easier this is going to be for both of us!”
