AV 18 Tag Championship - Blazing Blizzard (c) vs. Novae

Admittedly, Valerie didn’t have much of a plan when she grabbed hold of Belinda’s ankle, beyond just slowing her down. There was no plan B, really - just grab, her stop, pull her away from the ladder, buy time.

Unfortunately, Belinda had her own ideas. Ideas that involved pain.

She was just started to work her way up when Belinda helped her up - ‘helped’ being kind of a stretchy word. She started with a nasty punch to Valerie’s gut, one that knocked the wind out of her, and made it so that she could all-too-easily be pulled up to her knees, then to her feet, only for a hellish blow to rock her in the chin and send her hurtling backwards.

So, no, that wasn’t the best move. But she had another option to try - rolling over to her chest, crawling towards her sister, and sticking out her hand, looking for the tag. Tatiana leaned over the rope and reached for her sister’s hand - she was still winded from her scuffle with Chelsea, but she was hoping she’d have enough left in the tank to give Belinda a good run.

Belinda guided Valerie up towards her feet and then smacked her in the breadbasket with a swift blod to that gut and followed it up with European uppercut. Sending Valerie hurtling backwards. Eyes narrowed a bit as she saw her drop, before she turned around and would make sure the ladder was situated correctly.

The Swede would aim to then start to climb the ladder, back turned to the team of Novae as she began the trek up towards hers and Chelsea's belts. One step at a time she'd climb, for the moment unaware that Valarie was making her way towards the corner, even if she was probably thinking she'd be able to reach the ropes before any tag could be made.

Close, closing in, so close.

Tag.

Valerie hit the tag, switching in with Tatiana and rolling under the bottom rope to catch her breath. With Belinda scaling up the ladder, time was more scant than ever, and Tatiana saw it, she only really had two choices.

She could either get in the ring and scale the ladder like a normal person, hoping she could beat Belinda to the top and win the battle once she was on her perch.

Or she could do something crazy.

Deciding to go with the crazy option, Belinda grabbed the rope, pulled her way up, and springboarded off it to flying across the ring, soaring high and far, shooting her legs out to hit the ladder with a dropkick that would send it - and Belinda - flying.

Belinda's ears perked when she heard that slap, she was already up to a little bit past the mid point of the ladder and was about to reach up and pull herself up towards the top so she could go for those belts. Though she could already see the readhead springboard off of the ropes!

There was nothing that Belinda could do to prevent this as those legs of Tatiana smacked into the ladder and sent the ladder tumbling down! Along with Belinda Northman! The ladder collapsing onto the ring floor and the ropes bouncing off of them, Belinda crashed from that height down onto the canvas.

" Aaagh!" Belinda gasped out as she crashed down, holding her side a bit as she had been taking by surprise and with it fallen down quite a bit.

Tatiana should’ve thought this through a little more.

In her defense, her little trick worked, insofar that she managed to get Belinda to get away from the belt. That worked like a charm. Sent her flying. Right out of the ring. Perfect.

The only problem was that hitting the ladder caused Tatiana to spend all of her momentum, which meant that she went down, right down, to the floor. On her head.

It sucked.

She hit hard and took a little time groaning, before she managed to get her brain back in place. Using the ropes for support, she pulled her way back up, grabbed the ladder, and started to set it up once more.

Belinda had taken quite the tumble, currently on the barley padded floor outside of the ring, groaning and writhing on her ring. She shook her head and groaned...rolling over onto her side and then onto her front.

Placing her hands and knees against the canvas she pushed herself up to all fours....she wouldn't be able to continue like this, after a tumble like that she needed to tag with Chelsea...

Pushing up to her feet she quickly stumbled to the ring apron and slipped in, hurrying herself towards the corner to slap hands with Chelsea and let her tag partner take over!

Chelsea watched Belinda’s fall with a look of devastation but grateful Belinda wasn’t badly hurt. And even better she could still move so she wasn’t out of this match yet but she did need a break. When she came in looking for a tag trying to power through the pain Chelsea accommodated her as quickly as she could with her hand out and ready to tag in.

Slapping with Belinda Chelsea would hop over the rope rope and zero in on Tatiana who was trying to set up a ladder once more. Well Chelsea would have something to say about that. Running in as fast as she could Chelsea would jump and try to drop kick the ladder from the other side so it would be knocked into her opponent as she was getting it set up.

Okay. It was just a ladder. It wasn’t like setting up a ladder was a hard thing to do.

Granted, it would be easier if she wasn’t in pain and more than a little woozy, but Valerie would do the best with what she had.

Getting the ladder into position, she locked it in place, moved it to center ring, and that was when she remembered that about Chelsea. She got that reminder in the worst way possible, too: seeing her flying through the air, right towards her. Crap.

There wasn’t any time to dodge or block or do anything other than get hit and get knocked back, tumbling across the ring with the ladder landing on top of her. Not the best of looks.

Chelsea must have looked like a nightmare coming at the roomie like a speeding bullet. She already looked groggy as all can be and just as she finished setting up the ladder she came in out of nowhere. And to make matters worse the ladder landed on her. Though Chelsea was t about to slow down for very long in her effort to show that she still had some fire to her name, moving the ladder out of the way she went to the corner to climb up the turnbuckle to line up her next shot.

“Since this is all about deciding flight let’s see just how much flight I got in me” Chelsea jumped off and extended her arm out setting up for an elbow drop that if things went well would find themselves in Tatiana’s chest.

Tatiana had fallen down countless times in her life, often from dangerous heights, and more often than not, she was able to walk away from those crashes relatively unscathed. She’d hoped that sort of thing would translate to an advantage in the ring, but so far, that hadn’t panned out.

Still, she was tougher than she looked - or so Belle was fond of telling her - and she started to pick her way back up, hoping to get back into the fray before Chelsea had a chance to capitalize. It was a nice thought, yes.

Sadly, that wasn’t going to happen. Her opponent was on her A-game today, it seemed - by the time Tatiana had managed to get some of her posture back, Chelsea was already coming down from on high, crashing into her chest with a stabbing elbow drop.

Shrieking and screaming, Tatiana rolled out of the ring under the ropes, clutching her chest and hissing. Broken ribs? Oh, yeah.
