Navi Florges vs. Blossom Fields - Grin and Bear It

“Phew!”

Blossom let out a long sigh, one combined with relief and surprise that she managed to pull that maneuver off. It was good to be back on the right foot with Navi - the woman had a way of running off with things, and the last thing Blossom wanted was to let her momentum carry this match.

“Okay, okay…” She gave the hold a good wrenching, pouring more pressure into it. ”Wow, you are good, really. Where’d you train?”

She asked that question, but she didn’t just do that. She also started to stand up, turning the hold into a side headlock as she rose, still trying to keep Navi under control.

Navi struggled in the hold, attempting to pull it apart by force, but Blossom's grip on her head was too tight. She wanted to try and roll the brunette up for a pin, only for Blossom to drag her to her feet, keeping the blonde in a Side Headlock!

Despite having an upper hand...Blossom would offer a word of praise to the blonde!

"Hrrrgh...will...tell you when I kick your ass...", she would reply. Mid-match was a bad timing to have a conversation, especially with someone who was your enemy.

Navi continued to try to force Blossom's arms away from her head...before realizing that was futile, and trying to counter a different way, wrapping her arms around the brunette's waist, attempting to lift Blossom for a German Suplex!

Blossom was actually legit disappointed when she didn’t get a straight answer from Navi. She liked to keep up with the world of amatuer wrestling as best she could, and having a new source to draw inspiration from would’ve been so helpful. Whoever Navi had picked up instruction from, they’d done a great job of instilling her with mat fundamentals. It was a sight to see.

But Navi didn’t seem to care much for conversation. She was much more into the fight, which she made all-too clear when she grabbed Blossom’s waist, going for another wicked German.

A good move, and it would’ve worked earlier in the match. Now? Blossom was ready for it.

Instead of fighting the lift, Blossom aided it, pushing off hard with her legs as Navi lifted her into the air. She kicked her legs up, flew through the air, and launched herself back, turning the German Suplex into a backflip - a move that had her coming down on her feet while Navi flopped on her back.

”Gotcha!” Without missing a beat, Blossom hopped forward, reached for Navi’s head, and tried to pull it between her legs, hoping to catch her in a side scissorhold.

In wrestling, repeating the move was a bad thing in 2 ways. In one way, outside fo select cases, it was boring when a wrestler's offense was found to be lacking by the crowd. People want to see a show, and various moves a wrestler can do. Not see a German Suplex 100 times in 8 matches (even if the move rarely looked unimpressive)

Second, and most important in Navi's case? Very little number of people chose to fall into the same trap twice.

As Navi launched Blossom backwards, the brunette would add to the blonde's momentum, landing beautifully onto her feet behind Navi while the blonde dropped onto her back!

Not waisting a minute, Blossom would snake her legs around Navi's head for a textbook bodyscissors hold!

"Grrrhhhh..."

Grunting, the blonde tried to force her way out of the hold, only for her smaller foe's legs to barely move from their target...

Whew!”

Blossom couldn’t resist yelping for joy when she pulled that flip off. Not that she’d never been athletic enough to pull such a move off, but she’d never really knew how until recently, lacking the balance and precision for the move. Her training with Death Bunny in recent months helped a lot, though, with her girlfriend pressing her to expand her repertoire, and it was good to see some of those results payoff. Now she just had to do something with them.

It was a good hold, but Blossom could already tell that there was no way Navi would be submitting to it - she was far too tough, far too stubborn for that to happen. She needed to switch things up a bit. Improvise.

Reaching down, she bent as far as she could go and grabbed Navi’s shoulders, opening the scissorhold as she did so. It was only for a moment - just long enough for her to attempt to pull the woman up into a chokehold, looking to catch her around the neck and really pour on the pressure.

The body-scissors significantly weakened the blonde as it dug into her ribs to not only cause damage to them, but also to limit the blonde's breathing, only being able to take a breath in very small spurts...

...and Blossom was going to make the breathing problem a whole lot worse for the blonde.

The brunette wrestler would reach her arms around the blonde's neck, pressing her arm to her neck and limitting the passage of blood to the brain with a chokehold, looking to put the blonde to sleep!

"Guuuuuuagh...fu-fuuuuuuuck..."

It was only a few minutes ago that Navi thought this was going to be a plain and simple squash...and now she was being put to sleep by her opponent.

Blossom was holding Navi in the middle of the ring, meaning the ropes were too far a target for the blonde, despite her rocking side to side to try and roll both herself and her rival to the edge of the ring...

As she reached 30 seconds in the hold, she realized that the same amount of time would likely put her to sleep. She wasn't going to tap out, the Frenchwoman was too stubborn to do that even to the worst of holds...but a loss by a KO still didn't sound nice to Navi.

Instead, she tried to roll onto her front, and, with a rough push from her legs and arms, attempted to stand up to her feet!

In case Blossom still kept her hold fully locked in, the blonde at the very least had a way to get Blossom to break the hold...that was by rushing back first into a nearby corner to sandwich the brunette between herself and the turnbuckles!

Blossom wasn’t sure about this hold, being honest. Not because she didn’t think it was effective, mind you - it certainly was, and the evidence for that was clear. She had Navi under deft control, was able to lock her down, and she wouldn’t be going anywhere for a while unless Blossom let her. It wasn't the most graceful conversion she’d ever pulled off, but it was doing the job.

No, her problem was with the effects of the move. And the fact that Navi wasn’t tapping. She’d only known the blonde for a short amount of time, sure, but she was getting the strong implication that she was a very proud sort of woman, the kind that didn’t take losing easy, and wouldn’t deign to tap. Not to someone with a record like Blossom’s, that was for sure.

So she was holding on. And the longer she held on, the more likely it seemed that she would rather go to sleep than tap out. Which Blossom really didn’t want to do to her…

Thankfully - or unthankfully, she guessed - that wasn’t going to happen, anyway. In a defiant effort, she rolled over and started to push, making a wild attempt to get to her feet. Blossom clamped on, not thinking much of it, figuring it wouldn’t amount to anything.

She was wrong.

”Whoawhoa-” Blossom cried out as she was suddenly hurled backward and sandwiched against the ring post, connecting with a hearty crash. She didn’t lose the hold, still clung to Navi’s back, but that blow knocked all the energy out of the move - she was essentially hanging on, at this point.

With a good bit of momentum, Navi managed to crush Blossom between herself and the corner...and, despite Navi being able to grab a bit of breath...Blossom still held on, squeezing at the blonde's throat to the best of her ability...though it seemed like the French blonde lived through the worst of the hold. There was no way Blossom would be able to lock it in as well as she did just a second ago.

Still...Navi's breathing was still limited, and she needed to get rid off the small brunette still clinging to her...

...and, knowing her current position gave her an idea.

Navi would pull Blossom's head towards her right shoulder, holding her rival's head there with her right arm...

...before she jumped up into the air to generate momentum, and aimed to land on her rear, looking to drive Blossom's head into her shoulder for a vicious Backpack Stunner!

”Hm. Your hair smells nice.”

Just a little observation, one that Blossom made as she was dangling from Navi’s back, that sort of popped into her head out of nowhere. Maybe it was just her imagination, but it had the scent of lilacs to it. And it was quite pretty, though she’d never had much taste for blondes…

...hm. That blow left her a little more loopy than she’d thought.

Blossom was just getting her senses back when Navi spurred into action, pulling her head in close and running forward. By the time she figured out what the plan was, it was already too late to really do anything about it - she went up, she came down, and the stunner rocked her world.

Dazed, she went rolling away after the impact, flopping over onto her chest, staring at the mat as stars danced around her vision and the crowd roared.

"W-what?", Navi reacted to the strange remark from Blossom, right before she knocked her head into her shoulder for a stunner!

The impact would finally get Blossom off of her...and Navi would believe it was time to put her foe down for good.

Dragging her back to her feet by her head, the blonde would place her right arm across Blossom's chest, resting her hand at her shoulder...as she grabbed it, and lifted the woman upwards, before driving her down into the canvas for a vicious Uranage!
