Navi Florges vs. Blossom Fields - Grin and Bear It

Blossom wouldn’t lie, she took some supreme satisfaction out of killing Navi’s suplex in the crib. Not only did it keep her from taking her own medicine in the form of a nasty suplex, but it was good to hear the panic in her voice when she realized what was going on. Navi hadn’t taken her seriously to start, that much was clear, but she got the impression that was steadily changing.

The sound of her pained and frustrated grunts was a good clue - Navi was quick to push Blossom away the first chance she got, giving the pint-sized powerhouse the freedom she craved. A shame she didn’t have the time to enjoy it, though. The clothesline ensured that.

She’d been taking it on the chin since this match started, but now she did so in a more literal fashion, as Navi’s arm crashed into her face and sent her flopping. She hit the mat with all the grace of a wayward stone, and that was where she stayed for the moment, too dazed to immediately get back up. Navi had successfully thrown her for a loop.

And Blossom would think correctly. Navi was beating her in the head for underestimating the leotard wearing girl. While she still didn't believe the brunette was as skilled as she was, she at least realized that it wasn't just a match for her to put on an impressive show, but a real test of skill against Blossom...

With her realizing her arrogance towards the girl was a fatal error on her part, the French blonde was going all out, putting everything she could into a clothesline to take Blossom's head clean off her shoulders...

...and she would get her wish...not literally, of course, but Navi's forearm hit Blossom straight in the face, sending the girl rolling 270 degrees on the canvas, laying face-down.

Not wasting any time, the blonde would rush towards her, and grasp her at her waist, before effortlessly deadlifting her into the air, and slamming her, shoulders and neck first into the ground for a German Suplex!

...and a Bridging one at that, Navi attempting to pin Blossom after her clothesline, to see how much her attacks took away from Blossom!

A clothesline.

A good clothesline.

A nice, strong clothesline - a lariat, maybe?

It was a classification that Bubbles had never quite understood, and one she had time to ponder as she laid on the floor and reeled from the blow. From what she could tell, lariats were just a more painful version of the standard clothesline, like the difference between getting hit in the head with a wooden bat and an aluminum one. Both sucked. One sucked more.

It left Blossom stunned, but not so much that she didn’t notice when she was being lifted up a moment later, hauled into the air with an impressive display of power. She came down hard on her shoulders and neck with a German Suplex that would’ve had her applauding if she’d been in the audience. Here? Only pain.

”1…!”

Pain and counting. She had an acute awareness of that.

Blossom kicked out right as the referee’s hand was coming down for a second, flopping over to her chest out of the hold. That was about all she could at the moment, though. That, and she shook her head, trying to get it clear enough to mount a counterattack. Or escape. Or do anything.

"ONE----NOOOO!"

"Whew...kickout at one?", Navi would think to herself as the last bit of doubt in her mind was dispelled, as she rolled onto her front after the kickout: "Definitely not just a quick match then..."

Still...that meant that if she slacked off anymore on Blossom, the girl would have her down in a heartbeat. She wasn't about to give a chance to the brunette to do that.

Navi would take a firm seat on top of Blossom's back, taking both her legs under her arms, and pulling with all her might! Although one of the more simpler holds, the effectiveness of a Boston Crab in hurting opponent's spine could not be denied. And considering the ropes were quite a bit away from Blossom, the brunette had quite a painful journey ahead of her...

Well, Blossom escaped the count and lived to fight another day. That was good.

But she was a far cry from being in an advantageous position, that much was clear. That was bad.

Navi, to her credit, wasn’t the sort of woman to let an opportunity slip out of her grasp. Blossom had only just begun to push her way up in the hopes of rising again, when she felt a hard drag on her feet, taking them out from under her. The next thing she knew, her flexibility was being put to the test, as she found herself in the tight pincers of Navi’s Boston Crab.

From there, Blossom had two choices, and neither of them were good. She could try to crawl for the ropes, suffer that distance and hope that she makes it or - or - she could try for the reversal. It was gutsy, but she was kind of in a gutsy move today.

Digging her palms hard into the mat, Blossom started to push up and twisted her body around, attempting to force her way out of the hold through sheer power. It wouldn’t be easy, Navi was no weakling, but she was ready to pour as much strength as she had into the effort. Giving too much ground to her opponents was the sort of thing that put her on a losing streak back in the old days, and it was a mistake she wouldn’t make again.

As Navi put Blossom into the hold, she expected her brunette foe to try and drag the two of them to the ropes, giving her plenty of time to milk her hold for what it's worth, and deal enough damage to Blossom's back...

However, her foe would actually choose to counter in a different way...

"...?"

Suddenly, she would feel a massive resistance from Blossom, the brunette trying to force Navi to step over her and break the Boston Crab!

Navi tried to fight back, refusing to let Blossom escape the hold easily...but, after 20 seconds of fighting over control of the hold...

...until she got a different idea into her head:

Navi would grant the girl her escape, breaking the Crab, and turning the girl onto her side...

...however, the blonde wouldn't let her foe rest at all, instead lifting her up into the air, and spinning her, attempting to nail her with a hard Spinebuster into the canvas!

Twist away. Push. Uses those abdominals. All of Blossom’s time in the gym was coming back to help her, as she put her all into resisting the Crab’s claws, doing her best to alleviate the pain. Navi was no weakling, holding on to the move and doing a great job of locking her down, but the more she fought to keep it, the more Blossom fought to destroy it.

This wasn’t working, but it wasn’t not working, either.

It was a slow process, sure, but it was working, and Blossom was getting close to a full reversal. The crowd saw it, chanting her name and rallying behind her, and Navi must’ve seen it, too, because her next move was to just call the whole thing off. Just when it seemed like escape was certain, she dropped the hold, flopped a surprised Blossom over, the lifted her into the air with surprising power.

A couple of things happened in that moment.

Blossom was lifted up and slammed back into the mat, her hardened body hitting with all the grace of your average rock. It knocked the wind clean out of her, left her gasping, and sent a painful shock down her spine. Less than pleasant.

However, it didn’t hurt so much that she wasn’t able to bring in some focus. It didn’t hurt so much that she wasn’t able to take action. When they hit the mat, Bubbles shot her legs up to wrap around Navi’s waist, and reached her arm up to catch her around the head, attempting to put her into a tight body triangle and lock her opponent down.

As Navi slammed Blossom into the ground, she smirked. The momentum was fully on her side, and, even if Blossom wasn't as weak as she expected, it was clear to her that she would definitely pull through with a victory at the end...

...right as she tried to rise, however:

"GAAAAAAK!"

Out of nowhere, she would feel massive pressure at her neck, and her ribs were being squeezed by her opponent's legs! The blonde fell victim to a counter from Blossom to her Spinebuster, in for of a Body Triangle!

The hold was fully locked in. Despite being slammed onto her back, Blossom was digging her arm into Navi's neck at full strength, making it difficult for the already weakened blonde to break the hold by force. In addition, every bit of the Triangle was digging at the air in her body. The Headlock blocked the passage of blood to her head, while the Bodyscissors dug into her lungs to block the arrival of fresh oxygen to her body!

With Navi unable to break the hold by sheer strength, it was time for plan B - ropes. She attempted to roll herself and Blossom with her legs towards the ropes to their right, to grab it with her arm and get a break!

Was Blossom pleased with herself for pulling this off? Yes.

Did she think it would win the match for her? No.

Was it a step in the right direction? Ooooooooh yes.

If there was one thing that she was learning with her training from Death Bunny, it was that she had to work on seizing opportunities when they came, and that was what this all came down to. Yes, getting slammed into the mat like that hadn’t been pleasant, but it had put her in a good position, right where she wanted Navi to be. Now that she had such a tough opponent in her sights, she wouldn’t waste the moment.

Sure enough, her opponent was able to get to the ropes. Blossom didn’t make it easy on her, but Navi pulled it off, and she eased up on the hold right away. Death Bunny would probably chastise for that, wanting her to milk the count a bit, but she’d never liked that sort of thing when it was done on her. Do unto others as you’d have them do unto you.

Besides, she’d made a good dent, it was something she could work with. Standing up, Blossom grabbed Navi’s arm and started topulled her away from the ropes, wanting to get her back to the center of the ring so she could keep the pressure up.

With Navi managing to reach the rope, Blossom wouldn't hold the blonde captive in her hold for too long, releasing it the moment referee asked her to.

Still, that didn't mean she was out of trouble yet, as the brunette would drag her into the middle of the ring!

Knowing that her foe would lock in another hold if she didn't act quick, the blonde attempted to quickly wrap her legs around her foe's ankle, attempting to drop her face first into the canvas with a Drop Toe Hold!
