Navi Florges vs. Blossom Fields - Grin and Bear It

All right, time to get this going. ”Let’s go, let’s go…”

Blossom moved Navi towards the center of the ring, formulating a few ideas as she went for what the next step would be. Setting up for the Ankle Lock was a strong contender in her mind, but there was something to be said for more suplexes to soften her up, too. She’d been working on a few new variants with Death Bunny, expanding her repertoire, and she was anxious to give them a spin. As good a time as any…

It was a nice thought, but it would have to wait - gravity needed to have a quick word with Blossom’s face.

Navi threw a deft trip, one that took her by surprise and sent her flopping forward. She managed to get a hand up at the last second, but it wasn’t able to take away all the impact, and went down for a solid bump on the nose. Not the end of the world, only enough to stun Blossom for a couple of seconds, but even that long could wind up being more than she could afford in a match like this.

With Navi successfully driving Blossom face first into the canvas with a Drop Toe Hold, a part of her wanted to go for the finish, her STF, right away...

...but, there was high possibility of the brunette possibly countering the hold, and if she did that, one of her trump cards for the match would mroe than likely be lost. Going for the STF now was likely a huge mistake on her part.

Instead, Navi would quickly shuffle to her foe's side, trying to trap her arm between her legs, and to grab and pull her head backwards for a Crossface!

Blossom was down, and this would be were things got a little nasty. Navi had a wide open shot, any move she wanted to go for, she could achieve, and she had to wonder what the choice would be. Blossom? She liked to stay simple. Maybe a Boston Crab or an armbar, or maybe just weigh her down with a good headlock. Effective stuff, easy to use.

Navi, to her credit, made a good pick - the Crossface. Blossom yelped as she was yanked up and her arm was secure, trapping her in the infamous hold, and then stretching began.

At first, she made the token attempts at escape - reaching up, trying to dislodge the fingers, trying to wriggle her arm free. None of it worked, not one bit of it, and she was left in pain and with one, real option.

So that was what she went for: pulling herself towards the ropes, trying to drag them both to salvation.

Crossface was a very flexible hold. It was good to work over your opponent's neck and shoulder, softening them up for a bigger move or hold to guarantee a pin or a tap out...however, it was almost just as good as a finishing hold, as a finale after a strong piledriver or a brainbuster and neckbreakers, to make the foe submit to the hellish pain in the part that connected their head to their body.

Still, Navi usually went with the former, personally preferring STF for a winning hold, and the Crossface was a good build up to it. As such, while she did put a good bit of resistance on Blossom, she chose not to fight back as much against the woman going towards the ropes. She felt she wasn't going to get a tap out right now, but this was a good way to start building towards it...

Wow, this hurt.

It was supposed to, Blossom knew that, she wasn’t an idiot, but it really took her by surprise just how agonizing it could be. It felt like Navi was determined to rip her head clean off her neck, and no amount of shaking was going to dissuade her from that. Blossom was tougher than a lot of people thought - having Death Bunny for a girlfriend upped her toughness stat - but the longer this went on, the worse things were going to be, and Navi was already proving to be a serious challenge.

So she fought and she fought hard, dragging them to the ropes. Wasn’t easy, but she pulled it off, and when she was close enough she reached out with her short arms and grabbed hold of the bottom one, giving it a tight squeeze.

The referee was quick on the draw, immediately waving her arms about. ”Rope break! Let her go, Navi!”

The longer match was going, the more enjoyable she found it. Had this been a simple squash as she expected not even 10 minutes ago, she would've simply collected her paycheck, and still been pissed as all hell for not getting any good matches for a while.

Having a tougher opponent was lifting her spirits quite a fair bit. She was simply happy to fight in the ring.

She pulled on her rival's neck to get some solid damage onto it, while Blossom pushed towards the ropes, evetually getting towards the ropes!

"Let her go, Navi! One! Two!"

"Alright alright, I am out...", she would say, as she released the hold...

...but, by no means, stepped away from her brunette rival. She feinted leaving, but immediately stepped right back towards her rival, snaking her arms around her waist from her lying position, attempting to lift her up into the air, trying to nail a deadlift German Suplex!

Navi wasn’t going to let her go easily. Blossom figured that out right away, strongly suspecting that, when she grabbed the ropes, she’d have to wait for the five count before she could get out. This woman didn’t strike her as a really bad person - not a cheater, at least. But she was getting a very distinct Samiya vibe from her, putting her as the sort of person who’d bend the rules. Never break, never that, but was more than willing to come down in that soft gray area.

So she was kind of surprised when Navi did, in fact, ease up on the hold, with a couple of seconds to spare. She sagged to the mat, took a second to breath, and began to rise up right away. The respite surprised her, but she’d take it.

Only it wasn’t a respite. Not even close.

”Whoa!” Blossom squawked as she was suddenly lifted up off the floor, in the beginnings of...a deadlift German Suplex? Wow. That was actually really impressive, and she would’ve applauded Navi for pulling it off if she wasn’t so busy being on the receiving end of the move. It was well executed, too, with Blossom coming down right on her shoulder, hitting with enough force to bounce away. It all came down to her rolling over to the center of the ring, and that was where she stayed for the moment, groaning and gasping on the floor.

Sitting up after a Deadlift German, Navi would spin her arm after the move's execution. Her arm felt sore, since the move needed quite a lot of force from the person to do it.

It was, ultimately, worth it though. A regular German Suplex had to be hit from a standing Waistlock position, one which the wrestler recieving the move has a chance to reverse the hold. But that was slightly more difficult to do when lying down...

And with the crowd cheering the French blonde on about the impressive power move, she thought she could give them a bit more of a show for their buck.

Approaching Blossom, she would once again grab at her waist with both arms...though this time, doing it from the brunette's side.

From there, after sucking a bit of air, she would try and lift her once more, aiming to throw her back to the mat with authority with another Deadlift Suplex. This time, of a Gutwrench variety!

Oh, this was good. This was really, really, really good.

Blossom was starting to feel familiar feelings, familiar feelings that she didn’t think she’d be feeling in the AFW for some time. Most of her opponents here were quick or strong or horny, and she’d come to accept that wrestling someone more of the technical side of things would be a rarity. If it ever happened.

Well, today was her lucky day, because she’d finally found someone as good at suplexes as she was. Sucked that she was sort of a jerk, though.

Before Bubbles could have ample time to recover, Navi came in once more, reaching down for another deadlift maneuver. That would be a feat all by itself - Blossom knew how much that sort of thing could take out of you, and doing two in a row was the sort of thing you’d expect from women well above their weight class. Didn’t mean she was going to let it happen, though.

Right as Navi was lifting her up, at the apex of the move, Blossom reached over to snag her head, looking to capture it with a headlock. With a firm grip, she attempted to jerk to the side, attempting to break the hold and bring Navi to the mat in a headlock takedown.

Right as Navi had Blossom at the highest point of the move, Blossom's arms would suddenly encircle the blonde's head, putting a ton of pressure into it as she tried to shift the momentum of the fall to her side, the blonde fell onto her back as brunette had the hold perfectly locked in!

"AAAAGH! FUCK!", she cursed, instinctively getting her arms to try and pry away her foe's arms...only to be severely weakened by Blossom crushing her head...
