Vespa vs Hikaru Sawazaki- Standard Match

Vespa had very simple ideas when it came to battle. For example, if the opponent reacted negatively to being stung, sting them again. And again. And again, until the threat was neutralized.

Even without her stingers, Vespa continued with that philosophy. Even if she received some damage and the chokeslam was only at half strength, the results were extremely positive. In Vespa’s head, there was no reason not to use the move again. She could receive damage to her working arm, but if it finished the Invader she would have completed her orders given to her by the Royalty.

Imagine her surprise when the small Invader not only dodged her attempt at another chokeslam, but brought the world crashing down on Vespa’s face.

“ACK!”

Vespa laid on the floor in a position comically similar to the “dead mans float” position. The pain in her nose from the earlier punches flared up again, and her damaged arm began to ache, the kick in the elbow did more damage than what was first thought.

Slowly, Vespa tried to sit up. She was careful how she moved her arm, as it would ache if straightened. She didn’t get far before there was a sudden weight on her back, slamming her back to the ground. A grip appeared around her chin, then her vision shifted and her back erupted in pain. She was in a Camel Clutch! It was difficult to escape this move with two good arms, let alone one. She was trapped.

The pressure on her back was immense, and the grip was strong enough where she couldn’t open her mouth to speak, though she bared her teeth, spittle on her teeth and sharpened canines gleaned in the light. All she could do was shoot Hikaru and angry glare, one eye closed from the pain.

Hikaru leaned back, pulling with all her might to put Vespa in as much pain as she could! "Ngh... come on! How do you like this hold bee lady?! Tap out!" Hikaru shouted, trying to urge Vespa to submit. She was giving it everything she had, and the crowd was starting to rally behind her! Hikaru may have appeared at the onset to be outmatched but the determined rookie was going to prove she had it in her to win at this level!

Hikaru was not going to let being an underdog dishearten her. It just meant that the people who figured she would lose had never seen her in action, or saw how much grit she had.

A pained grunt was the only response Vespa could give to Hikaru, her jaws clamped shut by the hold. Her back was in so much pain it was practically unbearable. It was worse when Vespa began to hear the cheers of the crowed. Traitors to the crown! Sickening. She set the thought aside, focusing on trying to get out of the hold.

She was determined not be beaten by submission tactics. With her good arm, Vespa tried to prop herself up to alleviate some of the pain in her back. With her damaged arm, she tried to pry away Hikaru’s grip. Her damaged arm hurt from the movement, and a slight burn began again when she started to pull at Hikaru’s grasp.

Hikaru was a fit, strong woman in good shape. However, as Vespa began to pull Hikaru could tell it was only a matter of time before she managed to free herself. Hikaru decided to abandon the hold and get away from Vespa, crouching low and waiting for Vespa to rise to her feet. She waited and moved behind Vespa forcing her opponent to turn to see her.

As soon as Vespa faced Hikaru, the young woman would spring her trap! She ran at Vespa trying to leap into the air and make a gamble. Hikaru was trying to jump up and wrap her legs around Vespa's head before leaning back to send her to the mat with a hurricanrana!

Vespa flopped back down to the floor when she was released from the clutch, a slight twinge of pain still remaining in her back. It was a humiliating position for the Queens chosen to be in. Angered, but in pain, Vespa began to slowly stand. The tiny Invader would pay for what she has done.
Vespa noticed that Hikaru was moving further to the side. Doubtlessly trying to escape Vespa’s wrath, or so she thought. When Vespa turned to face her she announced to the Invader,

“You will fall before th-“

And was suddenly interrupted. Once again, Hikaru’s legs were wrapped around Vespa’s head, and as she leaned back much of Vespa’s body would give way to the throw.

But not all of it.

Vespas back was arched, dealing with the sudden weight on the top half of her body. One of her feet was pushed forward, stabilizing Vespa just enough to prevent herself from being flung. Anger was burning in Vespa’s eyes as she reached down with her good hand and grabbed Hikaru’s top, pulling her just enough so that they were face to face.

“I…..Will…Not….be beaten….by the likes of….you, Invader!”

Vespa’s muscles were screaming, she was holding up a person at a very awkward angle. Rather than attack, Vespa would let Hikaru drop back to her failed Hurricanrana position, her legs still wrapped around her head. She would use her good arm to squeeze Hikarus leg as har as she could, perhaps straitening up to relieve some of her back pain if successful

This wasn't good. The last time Hikaru attempted a hurricanrana that failed she ended up being power bombed to the mat! A frantic Hikaru began trying to lash out, sending a flurry of punches at Vespa in order to escape and create distance between the two.

If Hikaru could get away she would have to think of a new strategy, a way to chip away at Vespa as her usual offense wasn't working as well as it should. The hold seemed to work, so Hikaru was thinking a more technical and submission based attack was going to be her best bet against the eccentric beehive warrior woman!

In the event Hikaru wasn't able to escape she would do her best to prepare for a painful unwelcome surprise...

Vespa was a fanatic, willing to go above and beyond for what she perceived to be the Hive and her Queen. If given the order, she would gladly face ten, twenty, even fifty opponents at once if it pleased her queen or protected the Hive. Vespa was truly a loyal soldier, but her body had its limits. She was tired, her right arm and back hurt, and a dull throb was still in her nose. She underestimated her opponent due to their size difference, now her body was starting to reach its limit.

Vespa couldn’t get the Invader high enough to deliver a powerbomb, so when her opponent started throwing punches, Vespa didn’t hesitate to throw-quite literally-Hikaru away from her, using what was left of her impressive strength.

Creating some distance between the two could give Vespa a chance to get a quick breather, if she was smart enough to use it. Instead, her zealous nature proved to be too strong. With another battle cry, she rushed Hikaru yet again, preparing to shoulder tackle her with her good arm.

Vespa rushed in but Hikaru was ready. As soon as she drew close Hikaru would duck low and spring back up to her feet, running straight at the ropes! Taking a deep breath Hikaru would bounce back off the ropes and zero in on the eccentric woman opposing her.

Hikaru would try to use her speed as best she could, attempting to leap at Vespa herself, once more trying a running dropkick! Hikaru needed to hit and run. She couldn't get caught by this woman. It wasn't going to be easy but she was determined not to let a queen bee, or whatever Vespa fancied herself to be, ruin her debut here!

Vespa couldn’t believe it. One moment, she was barreling down on the invader, the next, she was gone. Vespa looked around, wondering where she could have gone in such a short space. Why couldn’t she just take a hit like a good soldier?

Then the foot steps came. Vespa spun around, her eyes open wide in surprise and her sharp teeth were in a shocked frown. Two boots were coming in lightening fast, and Vespa was wide open. The feet slammed hard into Vespa’s chest, sending her cashing down onto the floor.

“Owww…heh…heh heh heh……ow, ow, OOWW!”

Vespa would try to get back up, but her movements were slow. At most, she would be in a seated position by the time her enemy recovered from her attack.

Vespa was down! Now it was up to Hikaru to keep her there. She held up a fist and smiled taking a few steps back as she rose back up to her feet herself. "Yeah! Here we go!" Hikaru shouted as she rushed right at Vespa, trying to fly right into her full speed and deliver a sharp knee to the face by way of a shining wizard! Hikaru hoped by hitting fast and often she could just wear away at this woman.

Hikaru was all too well aware of Vespa's ability to mount devastating offense in short order. She had to be wary of that but she had to be aggressive in order to stay ahead!
